    Love my Vans infuse. No heal lift and a very comfy boot. I like the adjustability for making the boot stiffer or softer depending on how you ride and helps with longevity.

    In short: Kevin likes the consistency of traditional laces. It's not really the brand it's the lacing system. Get a boot that is comfy and fits your foot, the debate of the best or which boots/brand is best is so dead.

    I'm riding this season with the Adidas Response 3MC ADV. It's my first double boa boot and I found I had total control over how my boot fit and all day comfort for the first time in years. I don't get to ride more than a few times a season so I kinda suffered silently with Burton Invaders prior to this for the past 4 seasons not thinking it was worth doing the upgrade, but it has made so much difference to my riding. Game changer for sure.

    I bought a pair of k2 darkos this year and they are by far the best boots I have ever had. No pain right from day one either. Has the boa/lace combo. I used to only use lace up Solomon's but the board shop I always go to told me to try these out and I must say 8 won't ever switch back

    Picked up the samba boots last month also size 9.5. Very comfortable for my rather wide flat feet. I will say that after my first day of riding and being in them for about 10 hours I did develop a blister below my inside right ankle (riding primarily regular stance, so back foot) and that was after heat molding them in-store. Other than that I love these boots, and especially the liner. I can get them super tight which I like and am hoping with better socks and with further break-in the blister issue will stop

Personally I own a pair of ThirtyTwo's (Scott Stevens) pretty stiff overall which is nice for a snappy respond. Downside being is I feel like my feet start to hurt or get sore near the end of the day on the mountain. They seem to be better for park days.

    I've got 2 pairs of 2018/19 Boost Tactical Adv they're incredible. 2018 season I rode over 120 hours (about 5 hours of solid riding every sesh) in the first pair and I ve got to say the worst part was taking them off at the end of the day, I loved them so much I hunted down the Bape Tactical Adv editions this year. The comfort/support in the Adidas is always there. I tried really really hard to like 32(had the stepchild/lashed, frank april tm-two) but could never get them to fit or feel right the heel was never there, and experienced some new foot pain every ride. With the Adidas it felt like the boot follows the bottom of your foot when you ride and I like to think the boost foam is more forgiving when you land odd or flat.
    I d higly recommend any Adidas snowboard boots to anyone who's thinking im over snowboarding cause of foot issues, try these boots they ll make you fall back in love with shreading

    I went from the old auras to the infuse this year. I now ride about 5 days a week and I find the infuse perform really well. I dont notice a problem with the tightening zones as I use 2 hands to reef down on the powerstrap (depends whether im teaching or not). I do find the tongue of the liner doesnt fit perfect and causes some pressure around the upper part of my ankle, but I will probably get them baked again. I like the boa system on the mountain because its easy to dial in my heel hold if I find it sliiping a little. Before buying I tried 32 lashed (never has my size in tm2), ride fuse and Salomon lofi. Neither of those felt anywhere close to as nice as the infuse.

  • @HigherStandard420
    @HigherStandard420 3 года назад +1

    As a boot fitter everything you are saying comes down to how they fit! Vans in my experience is a really WIDE last! (Especially in the heel) Every single liner is also made with different foam which, will make them again fit/ feel different on your feet. Boa boots are often super easy for the consumer to over tighten them causing pressure points and even constriction of blood flow to your feet. Overall your boot should fit snugly without having to super tighten the lacing on the boot! Best way to check is to take out the liner and then shove your foot in the naked shell. Check out the spacing in their, no more than two fingers behind the heel for length and heel in the heel pocket should not allow your hand to grip all the way around the heel (hand should not fit on side of your ankle and the shell should not be squeezing your ankle already). Every boot fits differently because of each brands LAST (mold used to shape boots) REMEMBER THAT

    Double boa, the single is why you have the problem , i feel like i can't ever get laces as tight as boas, so having both on 1 boot makes sense why it would feel inconsistent

    • @samraymond215
      @samraymond215 4 года назад +1

      The boa on the infuse is simply meant to tighten down on the ankle a bit more to help with heel hold. These boots are traditional lace and the boa is just an add on.

    I actually love the Vans Infuse more than the Samba's because of the BOA system. I tried out the Samba's for two weeks, and they're a great traditional lace. However I find the Infuse allows me to tighten or loosen my boots on the go; in between lifts, lodge beers or before a drop into some powder/park. Comfort and stiffness in my opinion go to the Infuse, but the Samba's are super lightweight in comparison.

    @SnowboardProCamp I have the vans infuse from last year . I wore them around the house a lot on the off-season and I was getting a lot of hot spots ,.. until I realized that the boa and ankle strap are really there to just hold the tongue snugly in place until you tighten the laces accordingly . I’m not using the heel J cuff thing either . We’re you able to ride with the j cuff heel insert ? If so did you find benefits ? But since I figured that out riding in them has been fantastic . I’ve never had traditional laces so it’s been a steep learning curve. But I’ve pretty much figured I need them pretty darn loose to be comfortable. Edit 04/19/2020:
    After this short winter season d/t novel coronavirus, I have some thoughts on the Adidas Superstars snowboard boots.
    Yes, these boots are very comfortable. Four solid 10-hour day sessions in Tahoe and these break in easily. I have an average width foot and wore socks between thick wool hiking socks to thinner merino smartwool socks and they still stayed snug under the laces.
    As the boot material broke in, the boot inevitably became looser, notably in the toe box to mid-foot (metatarsal region). I run a rather looser set up (4/10 flex park board & Burton custom bindings) and my boots really responded well to playful and loose style. But the boot needed re-tightening very often as the material softened up.
    Still a solid set of boots IMHO, but if I am to get a stiffer, more responsive boot for carving/powder, I may look to a stiffer, more structured boot like the Tactical ADVs. I am very happy with my Superstars in terms of style and performance but will need another set for other applications.
    ----------------------------------------
    Just upgraded my boots to Adidas Superstars. Love the traditional laces for ability to customize the fit for my ankle and foot. It's light, flexible, and has a rubber toe cap so it helps my toe strap grip. +1 on Kevin's comment about sizing. From aggregated reviews, I learned that Adidas boots run a 1/2 size larger. I wear a 10.5 in regular trainers, but these 10s feel great even with thicker socks. I chose to go with the Superstars over Sambas because they have a strap up on the calf to keep my laces secure and the top of the boot snug.

    • @BRANDOAN
      @BRANDOAN 4 года назад

      @Mr1SmA Based on Evo conversion chart, yes you are correct. I downsized fromUS 10.5/Mondo 28.5 to US 10/Mondo 28. But I would say that this is only consistent with the Superstars. Not sure if the same would hold true if I got the Sambas, Tactical ADVs, Lexicons, 3MC, etc.

    I don't recommend Vans Infuse to anyone. The BOA can break and it cuts into your leg a lot, because this is not a BOA only boot. So the BOA is quite bad on this boot. And they are super heavy as well. Probably the heaviest boot on the market.

    Looking for my first snowboard boots, could these be recommended for beginners or would they be too 'good'/advanced?

    I’m a complete beginner to snowboarding, I’m looking for a pair of boots and I’m largely drawn into getting a pair of vans but full lace ups, what do I need to look out for in particular

    Any tips on where to go to try Adidas boots on? I live in Utah and am struggling to find shops who have them.

      I had to finally just bite the bullet and order them online to try them out. They do fit a ½ size smaller than most boots I've had so far. Meaning I usually ride an 11 but I ordered these in a 10½ and they're perfectly. Basically they're true to size, as I normally wear a 10½ in most shoes.
      Super pumped to go ride these!!

      Buys cheap gear (either in the offseason or last years model stuff) and it will end up saving you money in the long run plus you will have your own stuff.

      yea matt is right, buy end of season or ebay or smth there are always good deals and will definitely be cheaper then renting in long run

      what these guys said. When I first started riding I bought a used board/bindings/boots for like 170 bucks total. Can't beat that, rode that setup my first 3 seasons until I was ready to splurge on some new gear!

      Eddie J They’re speaking facts I got a board with bindings for 200$ on OFFERUP or maybe LETGO can’t remember but then I also got Salomon Boots from FB MARKETPLACE that are 179.99 retail and got the guy to give me them for 40$ and they are perfect.

    I ride the Sambas. Super comfy but I do feel like they come loose halfway through the day. Its a consistent loose though. I find usually my morning after waking up strength to tighten is not as strong as my blood flowing strength. So I usually like to take a couple runs to get the juices flowing and then re-tighten. After which, I don't have to think about them.

      Josh checked the RUclips recommendation in one of the top comments on double wrapping the laces up top to keep it from happening? There’s a link to a video, very simple
