Thank you so much for these videos! I am 13 years old and am trying to take the test to skip Geometry in 9th grade, and these 199 videos will certainly help me be prepared!
Remember, by hitting the like button on any of my videos that help you, you tell RUclips to put my videos higher on their algorithm and search list! It also lets me know if you understood my lesson, for me to know if I explained it well enough. 😊
3:56 Being taught terms like postulate and axiom are so helpful in being able to- I'm not sure how to phrase it- concretize, solidify, structure my understanding of large subjects such as geometry. These sorts of fundamental terms are so often glossed over, or if they are mentioned, their meaning is never explored. Definitions are so important when trying to learn a subject, as they indicate why the relationships exist; rather than how I've always been taught: "just understand what the relationships are." My brain doesn't or won't work that way. Anyway, thank you!
That makes me feel like my work is worthwhile! Thank you for letting me know. I'm proud of you for being proactive about your future and bettering yourself.
I've been wanting to teach myself geometry for a while since I've already learned everything in alg 1 but still have to take the class and this is really helpful :)
I remember telling myself i was gonna watch this during the summer before taking this class, now i have midterms soon and i gotta lock in, thanks for the help :)
All of your videos are amazing. They really helped me. My teacher once put you on. Then for the summer I have been watching you since grade 1 now I am almost in grade 5. Thank you for putting time and effort in your videos it really helps a lot of people.
If you keep watching my playlists, you may skip grades like my granddaughter! She skipped 3rd Grade and now is beginning 5th Grade in the Fall. But, she understands a lot of Algebra! Math is easy when you preview it before the teacher teaches it. Keep going! xxxooo
3:52 Could you please explain the difference between opposite rays and lines? They look really similar and I don’t think I’ll be able to tell them apart.
Opposite rays point in opposite directions. They are two rays that both start from a common point and go off in exactly opposite directions, forming a single straight line through the common endpoint.
I love this teacher, she literally predicted what i was gonna do at the end, I was gonna write down the vocabulary words in this lesson. 8:55 (just got into highschool btw, trying to learn ahead of time, and these videos are really helpful!!)
ME TOO. I just got into highschool, and I don’t want to go through the struggle of learning geometry in September so I’m doing it now since I have more free time!
You may surprise yourself! When I was in 8th grade I very easily and quickly rushed through Algebra 1. I was nervous to do geometry. I ended up getting an A in Geometry though. There was just something about the spatial relationships that made sense to me. I will always love algebra though. Let me know if you need any more help. You can ask me questions in the comments, or you can go to my Facebook page and ask me questions there.
Thank you for this lesson, but is there a website of some sort where we, the students, can execute what we learned or get some math problems about the lesson. It'd be really helpful

Textbook companies publish different state versions because some states have strict rules or lenient rules for what the state will allow the students to be taught. A Mississippi book may be slightly different than a California book. There are also regular books that are used by many states, like a general textbook. Either book will be fine. Their differences are usually slight. :-)
If you are referring to 1:45, D is a bit above the plane that A, B, and C are on. A and D are non-coplanar to each other. Coplanar means "lie on the same plane". :-)

Hello, so all I wanted to say is that I skipped basic 8th-grade pre-algebra and went straight to Algebra 1. As a result, I have little to no knowledge of what systems I am supposed to use in geometry. Do you think I should learn the basics or just start the lessons and just learn as I go? Thanks!
It depends. Did you barely pass Alg 1? Did you get an A in Alg 1? Everything that is taught in 8th grade is re-taught in Alg 1, but with more depth. Math lessons are ''layered''. A concept in introduced in one year, then the next year it's covered again but with more detail. Like addition is taught in Kindergarten such as 1+2, then in 1st grade they teach 10+12. I really try to re-teach and review in Geometry though. Maybe you just need a quick refresh, then move forward? Try this playlist :-) Algebra I Systems of Equations Chapter 8 ruclips.net/p/PLKi4WTp6PRGVVcYS3yLEQABtmmlfETc7L
@@TheKiehlster This is the first lesson. Take notes. Watch my videos in their consecutive order as they are in the playlist, BEFORE the school lessons and you'll be ahead! If you did okay in Algebra 1, you should be able to follow along easily. My comments are open and I still answer them. 🥰
Hey it’s me again 😁 in the video at 1:37 it shows about being a collinear or a non Collinear I 100% understand how D is an non-collinear but how is A and B a non-collinear what difference between them and why they are and C isn’t as well this goes with the non-coplanar ...how is A a non-coplanar?
The answer is at 1:20. Points that lie on the same line are collinear. D is not on the line, so it's NON-collinear. We can break down the word, co meaning "together" and linear meaning "line" :-)
@@angiguzman3786 , It's the relationship between the three points. A, B & C have a collinear relationship. A, B and D do not have a collinear relationship so they are non-collinear. :-)
