To the people misunderstanding what im saying and just leaving hate, you really aren't getting the message here. These are things as to why you might not be improving, if you are improving then this video isn't for you. I see a lot of butt hurt mouse players and im puzzled as no where in the video did i say to not use mouse, im actually for mouse play. Just remember, mouse can everything, but you probably can't ;3( the same goes for tablet players) With membrane its personal preference, but reds and browns are leagues faster than any membrane i have used, and they're more stable for the most part. Im willing to make a full on video just comparing them if its needed. At the end of the day ppl use what you want, there is no wrong to play, however these are things that can cause issues with some people, thats all this video was for..
(Also to the people that are justifying their play style, re read the title ;3)
Please participate in the poll linked below, im quite interested in what the majority of the community uses..

VelocityFTW honestly don’t know why you would be getting flak for this at all, when they are true.
VelocityFTW thanks for do this video at all... I think I can improve in maybe 6 month (yeah... 6 digit yet). Also something I can add for your explanation is for getting used to only 1 type of skin until you use mods, because if you are changing a lot you will be overcharged and lost concentration. Maybe can you talk about types of skins someday?
Oh, in the keyboard I’ll choose mechanic because of the durability and speed. In quickly maps the membrane it’s difficult to manage, but with some mechanic you’ll get used to that map faster (I use mx red, idk if is suitable for all)
Thanks again :3
do u still have a xbox 360 so i can use the infections

Not eve true...
btw your audio quality succs
Well, tbh, people are usually gonna be bias for one thing and its normal for them to act up when they get offended. I am a mouse player and what you said was right, I think its not only mouse that may bring you down but also vice versa (tablet). Its possible for someone to play better on mouse than on tablet too. Good video, I had no troubles improving before watching the video but I clicked on it because it was a video from you.

"get a tablet"

(cries in broke)
Same here. I'm broke so i can't afford a tablet let alone a Mechanical keyboard.
I don't think you need it, mouse works pretty well as long as you don't have a 2008 mouse it'll be find
I have a mechanical keyboard but I play on a laptop which has a membrane keyboard built in. I dont think I can use a mechanical keyboard unless I put it on top of the built in membrane keyboard of the laptop but that blocks some of my view :(((. (I got a mechanical keyboard since its supposed to be used on my desktop/pc though it is too old that osu isnt compatible)
I have mechanical but I can't get tablet sadge
"First thing you wanna do is to stop using mods"
*entire profile is filled with HD plays*
WELL SHI-
HD is how I see game. And I can read ar10 so dunno
my pf is full of HDDT and HDHR low star plays ;-; , I learned too early what farm was, In fact, I used to play on my smartphone(Opsu and Osu!Droid) and my friends where playing on pc, so when I got my pc I just kinda rushed to learn and get to them, I FC 5-6☆ on Phone, but pc wasn't the same thing, so yeah, bad acc account, full of farms and can't play nomod correctly = Blocked
i'm using a membrane keyboard that ghosts every 5th key. being a hell to do anything past 4*. any stream that's bigger that 5 hc i die.
I always use HD because it looks cleaner when compared to the cluttered nomod(for reference, this is for more dense maps), and it lowers input lag for me. The thing is, I can't aim streams. I can stream, but I can't track the stream :(
And then I try nomod, suddenly I can't read anything
So I end up playing 1-2 jump maps, all day everyday haha
don't mock playstyles:
mocks membrane keyboard users
mocks mouse players
Man… that’s me
tfw all of your top plays are hr
tfw all your top plays are farm maps and you didn't even mean to
Tfw all of your top plays are dt
he doesnt want you to know his farming techniques no noone can farm more than he does
If you really want to enjoy the game just ignore this video, play what you enjoy
I just got into the video and there's already something I disagree with. THIS IS A LONG ASS COMMENT WHOOPS.
Let me preface this by saying I respect your opinion, but I heavily disagree with it at certain points.

>don't touch mods until 20k
I've been using mods on and off since 7 digits. Rank means nothing if you can beat every unranked 7* map because you'll be 7(8?) digits at 0pp, even if you can play at a top 100 level. Mods are all about how comfortable you are reading the map you're currently working on (be it an FC, better accuracy, or just a pass)
While I don't suggest trying a brand new map with mods, this rule is absolutely pointless. Rank is not a measure of skill, it's just a visible measure of achievement. On top of that, some maps have a note density that is just near impossible to read for a lot of mid-range (4-6 digit) players just can't deal with, so something like HD could help them, as it removes the note you're about to hit and makes you focus on timing, and where to position yourself after the fact.
I personally don't play a map with HR if it's going to bump the AR past 9.5, OD past 8, or the CS past 6. That's just my personal boundary, because I currently don't have the aim skill, or reaction speed to do either of those efficiently. If the map comes standard with any of them, I'll likely attempt it, but if I have a choice in the matter, I avoid it. Personal gripe with old maps having those values cranked up pointlessly for the sake of difficulty.
That's the kind of thing you have to deal with, though. Knowing your comfort level and practicing slightly outside of it. Don't just set a boundary of "I refuse to play modded until x rank" because a lot of the time you'll have to play so many maps to hit that rank, that just adding mods to the maps you're comfortable with will save you time getting there to begin with. Besides, low-diff (2.5-4.5*) maps are generally more fun with mods if you understand how the mod works, and are also more rewarding. (Personal opinions lol)
_______
>A lot of people who are high 5 digit/low 6 digit can't read anything Relax kills aim and tapping coordination
This, I partially agree with. Very heavily partial, because this is only the case if you either abuse RX (use it on everything) or just don't use it to the right effect.
Certain maps have very awkward patterns, or weak audio-hitsound volume ratios. This can make learning the beat of a particular tech section quite difficult. If you're having trouble learning the tech, you can use RX to help you get an idea of what pattern you need to tap to pass that spot, on top of improving your aim without having to focus on tapping. RXHD is a nice intro to hidden, if you're fine with rhythm but your aim is lacking.
That's really the only thing I can say about RX personally, because that's all I use it for, and I have yet to have issues with my tapping/aim coordination, except for on long S rank chokes where my aim hand decides "I really don't want to miss that next note" and decides to fly out of rhythm, which would cause me to miss on RX anyway.

>Copying/mocking top players gets you nowhere
Ah, this is one point I absolutely love. Completely agree with it, minus the bit about keyspacing. Of course, pinky and thumb tapping is absolutely retarded, so I wouldn't go that far, but look at someone like BeasttrollMC. He taps with index and ring, his A/D fingers in an FPS. I do the same, it's a habit I picked up from nearly 5 digit (10 thousand) hours in FPS and MMO games. That's just coincidental, though, and I covered that point further down. Correlation does not imply causation.
Does the phrase "mouse can anything" ring a bell to you? Cookiezi is one of the most well-regarded players in the osu!community, correct? He plays with a tablet, so you'd think most 6/7 digit players think "I'm not getting better because I'm not using a tablet, it makes the game easier".
Try telling them that Cookiezi can nearly FC (2 misses and an SB, I'm pretty sure) Image Material with HD, with a mouse.
Try telling them that angelsim, also known as "firebat92", is known as one of the best players in the community (albeit a bit childish given recent events, but that's a different topic), as well as being known as one of the best mouse players?
Your tablet means nothing. There's no soft cap on the skill because you're using a mouse. Stop telling yourself that. While you may notice a personal improvement with playing on a tablet versus a mouse, that's purely anecdotal.
Cookiezi play: ruclips.net/video/pamc30IdSjM/видео.html
Copying someone's playstyle will not get you anywhere unless your playstyle is somehow identical, which I can almost guarantee that with nearly 12 million players, there's bound to be a 7 digit with Cookiezi's "curl my pinky into the density of a black hole" hand position. He's not 7 digits because of his playstyle, he's 7 digits because of his skill level. This also goes for the tablet grips (hover/drag/hybrid tap) as well as mouse positioning (claw, palm, etc). One might cause you cramps and shitmisses, while the other gets you an HDHR Remote Control FC. The opposite could be true for your friend.
To recap on this point, tl;dr Mouse Can Anything. Alternating Can Anything. Singletapping (as long as you don't singletap high BPM 1/16 streams you freak (looking at you , fils)) Can Anything. Your playstyle is yours, and no one else's.
--------
>Don't be a membrane warrior
I semi agree with this, on the basis of personal preference. Yes, mechanical keyboards offer a more tactile "clicky" response to your tapping, but by no means is there a softcap to skill with players who use membrane keyboards. I personally prefer the mechanical keyboards because of the sound it makes when you type quickly (Kreygasm) and because I can hear whether or not I'm overstreaming, similar to playing guitar hero and over/understrumming.
Some players on the other hand, prefer membrane keyboards because of the lack of a tactile response. They might find the clicking sound annoying, or distracting from the beat of the song.
That being said, by no means are they worse players. But if they're being little hipster shits saying "I'm only a lower rank than you because I use a membrane keyboard", point them to Yaong. He'll shut them up double-quick. He's not the best player in the world as per ranking, but he's definitely one of the best membrane players, and he recently streamed using a mechanical keyboard to prove that there's no difference. (Whether or not that was his intention is beyond me, but I believe he did a pretty good job of reaffirming that point).
----------
>Don't dance around with sensitivity/DPI/Tablet Area
Again, something I can agree with. You're not cookiezi, you don't need to change your skin/tablet area 3 times a day or whatever the fuck he does. He does this (as far as I've heard) because of RSI. He quit osu originally because of RSI (again, as far as I'm aware, this may be a rumor that got out of hand) and even if that's not true, I do believe that changing your tablet area can help with RSI, but so can basic stretches.
As OP said, "just find an area/DPI you're comfortable with, one you can make squares easily with, and stick with it". You'll get better eventually. This game isn't about your variety as a player, but your consistency in your playstyle. You could play with your damn tablet pen attached to the "For BIG Mistakes" eraser for all I know. If you're top 100 doing that, then good on you. You're a freak, but I commend you.
----------
>Consistency is key.
Aye, this one hits home.
As I may or may not have said earlier (this took me a while to type lol), my PP has tripled since I got back into the game consistently. I was a stagnant 400 PP player back in january because I would play for 10 minutes, then quit for a week because my wrists would crack and hurt, along with my back (Poor posture, "practicing the wrong way"). Once I found my playstyle and sensitivity in my mouse, I got my first 50, 60, 70, etc, all the way up to 118 PP top plays. I was on a fire streak, and I had no idea why.
It was because, since 2012, I had been practicing mistakes. I wasn't moving my wrist enough, I would dig it into my desk during tense moments where I was afraid to choke. I slumped in my chair to the point that you'd think my ass was a foot up my back. I was trying too hard to change to an alternating player as a concrete single tapper.
Tl;dr this game is 10% preference, 70% consistency and 20% "don't get RSI you idiot".
---
God I love this game.
PS: Cute acc owo
Agreed to this dude upvoted.
Love the 20%.
Honestly, RSI was most of the reason I, and a few people who I introduced to the game, got discouraged.
"My wrist hurts only a few songs in and I can't focus properly"
"Are you digging it into the desk?"
"Probably yeah, I get tense and my muscles seize"
"Try breathing. You're human, humans like breathing."
If you look at a fairly high level (
Amazing. I agree with everything said here.
120k teaching you how to play omegalul.
Hold up... Did you just say "I don't play HR if it bumps the AR up past 9.5"? That makes no sense as everything above AR6.5 with HR is AR>9.5
If this really is the case it would mean you are playing either low AR meme maps such as oddloop or you are only playing 2* maps and have no idea what you are actually talking about.
i feel like the main thing that has halted my improvement is always playing above what i probably should. playing things i can pass but have no chance of fc'ing or getting good acc. i have basically no clutch ability.
Also I seem to have the opposite problem most noobs have. i almost never retry songs over and over, so i never grind anything out
I'm basically the opposite lmao. I play songs I have to use NF on or I'd fail, but I've improved quite a lot from doing so. Kinda shows how different people are.
what, you need to retry songs..
also same with me, playing like 6*(70-80%) or 5* (80-86%)
But retrying songs is too boring..
i actually improved from retrying, now i do like low 6* 80% and low and mid 5* 86%+
im literally the exact same lol, but i try to fc some maps, but im still a noob and can only fc 4 stars :) i have like 60 hrs play time
Mouse is a good playstyle. I only have problems reading or tapping.
3:34 after 2 yrs im 7.7kpp and for like a whole year i kept changing area.. but now finally i found the perf one and i already beat my top play(farm btw). One tip if ur hand is like so shaky cause of small area, dont jump straight to big one cause it wont help. You need to increase it with time, like every 2-3 days of playing just a tiny bit, and one day u will say that it's comfortable that u dont have to either enlarge it or make it smaller.
basically the whole video was to analyse your weaknesses and improve on them lol
oof, that love heart made me to be gay, xD i am joking, nice video :*
you sure about that?
no
My weakness was BaF (Back and Forth) jumps and still struggling to improve those. :
my weakness is my left hand middle finger tendon i cant bend my finger because my tendon is burnt from thsoe long stream practice maps, but eventually it will heal owo

Tfw you're a hipster because you don't have the money to purchase something decent ;
When i first started years ago, the game was not as fleshed out and you didn't really know the ar or difficulty of the map you were playing. Therefore i was constantly playing maps way above my skill causing me to spam keys. This spamming habit didn't go away until i took a break from the game and came back. I chose to relearn proper habits. If i can't read a combo, i wont spam it. I will keep playing until my reading skill rises and i can execute it like any other. The biggest tip is don't try to spam your way through the game. You will miss out on building critical reading skills.
i feel like hr is kind of an exception though as it improves aim and high ar reading but if you use it too much you’ll develop an inability to read anything lower ar. it’s best to use it when you’re playing maps that are in your comfort zone with no mod
cant play anything under ar 9 now HAHA i just pre click
The only thing that really holds me back is my mentality, sometimes I will be super tilted for missing a note, and it will affect the rest of my session. On the other hand, a good mentality = better focus, consistency, and aim
I've been playing with a membrane keyboard since I started Osu 4 years ago :( I can notice how bad it is now, and I really want to get a mechanical keyboard asap because I think it will help a lot. (looking at the Corsair K70 Rapid-fire)
I have pretty good aim. Probably the aim of a 6-7 star but I suck at tapping in general. Idk why but I just can’t seem to tap properly
play demetori maps ^^
Well im opposite cause i mainly started at mania for like 2 years so i can play 5* beatmaps but not any higher than 5.4 or 5.5. I got stuck 9k rank and thought about switching to standard to try it out, it was fun and i got addicted to playing standard and now from rank 700k in just 2 weeks im at 400k tapping wasnt my main problem but what im having trouble is my aim. Btw im mouse player so maybe thats also the cause but im too poor to afford a tablet lmao
@@CM-jo7mc You don't need a tablet to have good aim...
Skiller stream practice maps lol. don’t play jump maps a lot and focus on high bpm maps with bursts and stacked notes. results will show after several months of hard work. im in week 2 of my stamina progression.
first week: barely streaming 178bpm
second week: comfortably stream 185bpm for a good minute and a half.
just play more.
improving stamina = getting faster (well mostly)
POtaTAtoe Head I’m also a mouse player but I have a edge because if have been pc gaming for almost my whole life
I can not buy a mechanical keyboard because is too expensive in my country, but do high profile membrane keyboard work?
my playstyle is holding my mouse at a 45 degree angle at the edge of my mousepad, and I still dont know why
I hold mine at around a 30 degree angle for some reason, which makes some patterns alot more difficult for me. Also makes horizontal jumps harder compared to vertical ones.
Im just gettimg worse for no reason, I used to play even 7 star maps, now I cant even FC a 5 star and I feel so bad
I kinda like my laptop keyboard more than a mech keyboard because it feel more instant, you apply pressure and it goes down, while with a mech it feels like i have to push it down for a while to get a tap.
I could get used to it but then I'd have to carry a mech kbd around, which is just a waste of space.
i played some 4* maps with hdhr, it did help me read for dt since dt makes ar higher too. also, i practiced alternating a long ago but despite that, i mainly singletap
So , I'm a mouse only player but I don't do that because I want to say it . I just never bought a tablet . I recently picked up osu again but I always played in HR and I'm just now starting to play with no mods aside maybe double time on easy maps ... I posted a clip of my current progress where you can see me get frustrated in my playstyle. I was wondering if you can give any tip on just speed or do I HAVE to invest into a tablet ?
is there a way to like play in a semi sandbox mode where you can't die in like solo maps even if u do miss a lot of notes?
No fail
Just a disclaimer, this comment is kind of like a forum question, but I'm too lazy to go over there. I'm gonna try to get a mechanical keyboard soon, but idk if it could hook up correctly and set up normally with my laptop or not. I could atleast try to get a mechanical numpad. Any cheap suggestions that work okay for their price? (I'm a budget gamer, I only had enough money to buy a razer deathadder for FPS games and a veik s640 tablet for osu. My laptop's a piece of shit, and barely passes by the minimum specs needed to play any medium quality game.)
What skin is being used in this video ?The one mentioned in the description is different.
May I add that playing maps only slightly out of your comfort zone is a good way to improve, if you play maps way too far out of your comfort zone the opposite will happen
What types of tablets do you need? I have two but idk if their the right ones
skin doesn't work anymore, anyone got another link? much appreciated :)

regarding the mech keyboard point, since a good one isn't usually cheap, I'd recommend using a membrane board like the Logitech K120, it's unbeatable for the price given its key's short travel.
also please don't bother with outemu switches, they might not feel bad but they can be inconsistent which will do more bad than good, save up for something else.
i've spent so long not caring about pp or fc's and especially accuracy but i'll try to do that now. EZ is also really good reading practice
u know,my alter ago is so big, and when i start to playing a lot of maps of certain level on b, I just go to another level, for example 2 week ago i was playing on 4 stars and way Im in progress of playing 5-6 stars, but i still dont start to olay 5-6 stars on B
so i shouldn't be practicing 6* maps with only 75 hours in the game? Seems to work for me. I NF it and get 75%ish on 6* maps even though ive only played the game a couple months.
What about people who click with mouse? I cant finish any 8 star maps except like half way through soukai rock but thats a baby 8 star map and only finished 1 7 star. I’ve been playing for 3 months now and i have hit a wall for about a week now where i cant finish harder maps. I dont want to tap with keyboard cus my left hand fingers have a few problems.
I have a lot of problems with jumps, I move my tablet so early and it’s hard to get out of that habit and it’s pissing me off, any tips.
RIP
I climbed up 2 star To 5star with HD
After not playing with HD Feels So weird And keep failing
Are you going to do another skins of the month video now that April has ended?
Yup, sometime next week :3 It will continue as long as I find good skins
Guys do u know if Plunger keyboards are any good? Cuz I'm stuck with one and I really feel the problem I'm having is with the tapping speed. I rly mess up on tapping streams so I'm asking if a mechanical keyboard is a must for it.
sorry I know this is an old comment, im not sure what a plunger keyboard is, but it really depends, you've probably just got poor finger control or you cant physically tap fast enough or you dont have the stamina, yes a mechanical will help with that, but it isnt necessary, try practicing slower streams and building up to faster ones.
My keybinds QW for clicking and jumping or I use W for all my playing
i see many videos talking about bad habits, but they never explain what the bad habits are.
1:08 i feel attacked lmfaoo. i’ve been playing hrhd since I started and i’ve noticed progression, just not gaining ranks. i sometimes switch from hrhd to dthd on easier maps for a month or so and when i come back to hrhd i usually hit a new 4* score or something. i’ve tried nomod but i can’t read them as they feel too slow
I'am was bad with pattern stream and some Extreme jump. So yeah, i'am skipping that things and find a another way to learn.
Uhm, I know this vid is a bit older... But are there any people here with ADD/ADHD that just like me, play HD/HR to make maps less dense and easier to read? And and while I'm at it. Should I "remove" my approach circles if they're more of an inconvenience to me rather than that they help me? I simply can't read properly because of them. (low or high AR doesn't really matter, I just mess up on hard patterns)
Played 2 years osu on a laptop with a mouse. I switched to a tablet. 2 years laters ( few weeks ago) I bought a mechanical keyboard. Honestly the keyboard helps the most, ofcourse after playing 4 years on a normal keyboard hard button mashing all the time,I really struggled to keep up with the 6, 7 star songs or long streams. I am getting used to my mechanical keyboard and I am doing maps with more ease and I'm not stressing my muscles way as much as normally. I creates these bad habbits because of my old keyboard. Im improving at a rapid rate than I havr ever done in the past 4 years.
I just started beating 4 stars regularly and I only play Hidden, would I get better faster if I didnt🤔
mechanical keys and pens are still bloody expensive
Does The Razer Ornata Count as a membrane Keyboard?
It’s a Mecha-Membrane Keyboard.
ngl im crying rn beacaue i dont get any imrpovements for 4 months and kept getting bad idk i should give up osu
My problems: stutters every 2 seconds and 600 hours on the game
I find fast triples very difficult because I can't alternate ZXZ XZX which makes triples a pain in the ass.
How do you improve on long streams/ lots of stacks notes on sliders? I can hit jumps pretty well and I'm all-around decent (for a 20 hours played 400k pleb), but long streams and stacked notes on/ near sliders kill my FC and sometimes the whole run. Any help/ tips to improve at this? I know it takes time but I feel I should be trying to improve at this other than just playing maps over and over until I can do streams (most of the time I just give up on the map cuz I can't do the long streams / stacked notes). I alternate btw.
Play maps with lots of patterns and high bpm. Helped me with Streames.
Idke did the same thing
I have played very hard maps with relax for fun and now idk why my aim improved a lot after playing these maps
im full comboing 2 star songs and doing well with 2.5 but alot of 3 stars 3.5 stars i fail on not sure how to get used to them cuz the notes are so tight nit together i lose track of whats goin on
I have a bad habit of always pressing shift randomly while playing and it makes me miss a lot
I have a serious issue of not liking to play maps i can FC or get good acc. I usually try to pass 5-6* maps and don't really improve a lot. RIP
Hey,
So, I'm currently in the proves of swapping to a tablet. My main play style is Mouse + Keyboard, except I use my mouse click + 1 keyboard button. I've been playing a tablet for about a month now and I've been seeing improvements, although extremely minute: I have little to no dexterity in my left middle finger to stream with, even triple stacks are hard for me to accomplish at higher game speeds.
Currently, basing off my plays of the Osu! stream compilation, over the month my accuracy has went from 47ish to almost 62, but even after taking the month+ break from my mouse click- keyboard tap play style, I sit comfortable at 79~86 hit accuracy. Is there a right or wrong way to play with a tablet is my real question I suppose, after about an hour of play my wrist is fatigued, and I have a bad habit of gripping my pen really tight? (Probably because I''m used to my mouse grip)
Should I just drop the tablet and stick to the play style I grew with, or do you think it'd be worth the effort in getting the tablet play down a lot better? It's just frustrating me because I'm failing a lot of maps I can S~SS on my mouse with relative ease, but I'd really like to be able to jump into solo/multiplayer and play those maps that seem to nearly require a tablet for sheer movement speed alone.
I think it comes down to whether or not you want it my guy. I think tablet is better for newer players but for people who are established with mouse i don't really see a point in switching.. However to fix your issue, play lower star maps and use strictly your middle finger to tap, you need to build muscle, or alternatively you can alternate. I do recommend tablet over mouse at the end of the day, try this for a day or two and then see your stream training score ;3 If you have more questions you can reply here or talk with me in game or on discord.
VelocityFTW alrighty, I'll donjust this then. I'm in Your discord already, Alceras is my name there. C: I just don't like to bother people n _n;
I use Wireless Mouse and Membrane Keyboard, am I a bad player now? I have been using my own style with this setup since the beginning (5 months now). I recently hit 3k pp and I dont wanna switch my Equipment because I think I will be worse with Tablet
thanks I will try this in the future to improve myself. I just recently tried to get into osu! and get better so I tried some easy but hard maps to show my friend that I'm improving. my dream is to surpass him I consider him a veteran sense he has been playing for a couple a years now. anyway nice video! :)
I’m rank 29k and I only use HD unless its a super hard to read map but even those I’m started to be able to read. I had to get a new computer about a month ago so I decided that I’m only going to play maps that are 2min and higher and I feel like it’s help me with constantly a lot it’s a lot of work but I think that’s a good way to improve your overall aim.
I play mods only to farm. I really see no real benefit of getting good at FCing 3-4* maps on HDDT other than farming pp. I warm up and practice using 6* maps a lot and I also play a lot of jump/stream maps including the practice mapsets. This helped me the most in the long run as I can see my self FCing (heck, even SS-ing) a 5.5* nomod now. This is something I can't do couple months earlier because I was too focused on farming with HDDT. I also have to tell myself every now and then that I am playing the game for fun.
I feel hurt Ive been playing membrane for 1 year :(
I play with a mouse and membrane keyboard. Everyone told that a mechanical keyboard is the way to go. So I got a blue switch keyboard from Motospeed. Not the greatest brand but it works. While playing osu! I noticed that there were multiple click sound/feeling when pressing the switch. This confused me a lot. Then I switched to Ornata but same click thing happened. Then I settled for a Logitech G213 membrane keyboard. It takes the same amount of force to activate it and keys feel very good. When soft cap base pushes back up, I instantly know that. No unnecessary click in between. So membrane keyboard is not as bad as people say. As for mouse again it is not as bad as you say it is. Mouse is equal to tablet. Great tracking and grip.
i tried practicing alternating taps now i can't single tap propperly
Skin won’t download
Yeah I had to read the text about not using mods until you're in 20k three times to make sure I understood that right. Although in his pinned comment VelocityFTW says this video is aimed for those who feel like they are not improving, but ngl, now I'm a bit worried if my playstyle will bite me in the ass in the long run. I've thought this is how the game is played: first you FC the map with no mods, then you aim to FC it with HR and then maybe with HR and DT or HR and HD (or maybe even all three). After the maps in the current star rating range start to feel comfortable with mods, you move on the next level of difficulty.
tl;dr: I haven't even thought that using mods too early would be bad, I thought they'd train me for the next star rating.
Am I the only one that thinks this would be successful on the 3ds? Have an in game search engine or a way to import beatmap from your sd card
anyone know the name of the skin he used in the video it seems like the link is dead ? :3
I don't have a mouse pad that's why I keep failing
Like when I get to click something .... Yeah
If i still remember, i skip 4 star and go directly to 5star as soon i can pass 3 star. The only problem is that i cant really stream well which maybe because i use membrane keyboard. Also, i cant play without hidden cuz nomod suckz
Jonathan Hester same bad habit here of playing with HD
"Get a mechanical keyboard and a tablet"

how can u turn off the after circle effect in skins
Anyone have a new link for the skin please the link in desc doesn’t work :/
what skin is that? the link is a gated download extension thing
Atm I’m stuck offbeat so whenever there’s a jump part like when it’s super close I go off beat and lose the beat so I can’t hit any of the circles so uh mind giving me some tips that doesn’t include offset?
I have the same issue, I get super offbeat and even though I can aim jumps I always tap wrong. I’m not sure if you have this issue anymore (if you don’t what did you do since I’m struggling with it?) but what I’m doing is trying to bottom out my key whenevr I jump to really emphasize the beat, until tapping jumps becomes easier for me
For the tablet area sqaure test, just play last goodbye on determination. The ending has a bunch of them. Bass slut works too on last diff
I have a problem.. Since like 10 days i cant read lower than 10ar 9 ar is slow like hell for me, 9.6 is decent..
Im a mouse player and i cant do anything about it ... The reason is i'm left handed but since im a kid ive been forced to use a mouse with my right hand but im still writing with my left hand ! And it took me a very long time before trying a tablet so im used to tap the rythmes with my left hand ... So now im quite unable to swap my hands and my actions ... What can i do ??? Plz send help :3
Literally the exact same situation I was in. Long story short I ended up learning to play tablet with both hands and can tap better with my left so I play right handed. My advice, give right handed play a shot and put some time into it. It’s easier than getting tapping memory on a new hand
VelocityFTW thanks for the advice ! Keep it up !
1:22 was that your keyboard double tapping?
no hate or anything but I have literally been playing 12 hours a day 24/7 before that I played for like 3 years hit a HARD plateau and stayed at 3 stars quit for like a year then came back October and I started improving quick then I hit the biggest plateau and I’m stuck at just passing 6-7.03 stars and I can’t fc anything please help me idk if I need a break or something but I’m desperate because I’m tired of just not progressing for like 3 weeks to a month all I can do is just pass maps with trash acc 50% of the time
All normal keyboards are membrane tho. And some people actually don't mind having to release the key fully.
How do people play 5 star maps with the DT mod all i find my self doing is basically spamming z and x like streaming lol
To me, RX actually improved my aim by a lot. But it was slight improvement, so you probably will improve your aim quicker with these tips.
what about the tapping tho? Rythm is also important and being able to hit bursts, streams and good fingercontrol. People are forgetting that this game is a Rythm game and not an Aim game
also reading is more important than aim
since im like 2 years late i hope you're like in high 6 digit or 5 digit now
in term of playstyle im always all rounder...doesnt matter if high sens or low sens or small area or big area
im comfortable with all of it but in the end i always got disadvantage regardless of my playstyle..if it small im unable to keep it consistent and pen/mouse slip a lot , if it too big my hand will sweaty faster
im doomed to stuck in my rank forever..not even 4 digit
help me all pen grips I try just doesn’t work at all
Malaysia top 1 player literally climbed to global top 50 with an office mouse lol
I practice ar10 with hr on lower diffs, is that bad?
You have a point on membrane keyboards.. I think I’ll change it soon
I'm currently at 120k and I haven't touched a single mod, I may occasionally play relax on some of my favourite map that are 6*+ is that bad or should I stop?
even 2 digits play relax, just don't overdoit
Cookiezi changes his tablet area very often depending on the song he's playing.
Everytime i play a map that i know i can FC i start to keep restarting it when i get a combo break. That way i never realy get good at playing the game just on learning one map. I cant get away from it. Any tipps or tricks that i could use to get away from all or nothing ? (Its like suddent Deaths) for me.
Don't use retry. Pass every map you play.
Skin link? (Description link doesn't work for me I think it's dead)
skin link is broken does anyone know the name for it
what if i am 450k but am getting really high spots in beatmaps
i cant read 4.3 star or lower because i can only read 5-6 stars :( help me i cant play slow musicc but i cant do 6 star
Don’t tap with like a pound to 5 pounds of force, I’m guilty of this and it hurts my tapping speed
Any tips for learning to read low(ish) ars, i have a lot of trouble reading ars lower than 9.
Can't say i do, i struggle with sub 9.7 as no 6* map will dip below this
Ez mod on
Follow the rythym.
Useless if you can't read lower ar
