got this whole build for less than $60 (shipping cost was non-existence because i'm in Vietnam), i sounds so good i'd say it's the budget king in my heart
Good vid and amazing build! Recently lubed around 80 switches for my first "custom" keeb and it was very specific experience, i really hope, that prelubed switches one day will become good enough, so you don't have to lube them at all.. In your build it is really easy to hear the difference between prelubed and manually lubed switches, really important thing even with prelubed ones
thanks a bunch! I think these switches are pretty good stock but I wish I had recorded my groan when I heard the difference after I lubed my first one knowing I’d have to lube them all!!
@@7xip yeah true story Recently bought Nuphy air 75, stock switches is okey, and after my previous keyboards switches they are very very amazing, but after i lubed several.. It is just i dont know, when you feel and hear good lubed switches for the first time, it is true pleasure
Dude I literally made the same build with Gateron Clears instead and I love it ! Got a bit surprised seeing you had the same keycaps and board combo. It looks amazing :D
I just finished a GMK67 build around the time you uploaded this video. My first ever custom build. KFA N2O Laughing Gas switches, NovelKeys spellbook keycaps. I did the tape mod, added some extra PE layers behind the pcb, and an additional layer of switch pads. I also replaced the stabs. I'm blown away with how amazing it feels and sounds compared to my old pos ducky mini.
it sounds interesting! I am waiting for my first custom keyboard as well. Another gmk67 with KTT kang white v3 switches. I will try to open it and mod it
Dude I swear I was planning my first build and literally came up with exactly this! The creamy yellows, the board, even the keys... what a coincidence!
good luck with your videos, i really enjoy these content and i hope one day start to create contents regarding custom keyboard as well. Amazing build btw
I’m think I’m getting Gmk67 with Akko cream yellows a combo I see a lot hopefully sounds good yours is amazing it even sounded great stock but way better modeed
I'm thinking of buying these switches, but my concern is whether I need high-quality keycaps to achieve that creamy sound. I have a Royal Kludge RK71 keyboard with a foam and tape mod. I'm doubting if the default keycaps will sound this good. If they don't, buying these switches might end up being a waste.
Nice Video man. I ordered all the exact same parts in prior to finding your videos. Gives me more ideas what to expect once the parts arrive but I also kinda hate you for spoiling the fun for me xDDD hahahaha Good jobbb!
Unfortunately ako v3 cream yellows nowadays are almost always out of stock and apparently someone said they're discontinued. I really wanted them, but because of that I am now chilling with KTT Kang Whites (which are also amazing don't get me wrong, but I like cream yellows better).
Yes I think it would, I just prefer not to use PE foam because it makes the board sound like all other boards with PE foam and reduces some of the board, plate, and switch characteristics. If you like the sound of PE foam though I think it’s the best mod for it!
These ended up turning out really well but the extra step would definitely to get some better stabs. Durock would work but you have to get plate mount!
Lmao, the funny thing is, this build minus the keycap is the exact build that i was going to get, and then i saw this video right after i made up my mind 😆 Guess this is a hint from the universe 💀
I got at the corner near the usb-c port, pulling it apart with my hands and sliding a small flathead in the gap, then working the screwdriver around. I can email you the scrapped footage of me taking it apart if you’d like!
I really enjoyed this especially for being your first video Have you tried gateron pros? If you have how do you think the factory lubing compares to the akkos?
Though some cheapness of the board can be seen, I think the feature set, whether that’s gaskets or a dedicated daughter board, is very hard to beat at this price. Thanks for watching!
They definitely charge a little extra for their services but they will get you what you order. I chose their service because I found Taobao to be very inaccessible to where I live.

I’m so glad!! That’s exactly what i wanted for other people out of this build.
Ai Việt Nam điểm danh
This build and video were exceptional! I was shocked when I saw your subscriber count. I’ll be sticking around! ☺️
You just made my day!
And those tiktok dancers who shake their body around all day with no editing whatsoever get 1 million views and 14 million followers. Why???

the leobog graywood V3's come pre-lubed from factory, and they sound AMAZING (they are really good for cheap thocks)

Omg is this the exact build i was goint to do! Amazing sound and price too

Good stuff, I’ve been eyeing yellow switches for a while so I appreciate the sound test. Thanks!
Unfortunately I think lubing them brings out the best in them but they’re definitely an incredible value switch
I see no reason why you dont have 50k+ subscribers I'm stunned that you have only 70 great video I think I'll watch the others too!
I appreciate it!!
omg i was going to do this exact build (with diffrent keycaps) and this vid showed how it was going to sound like amazing vid btw

would adding a thin layer of dense foam be that same as a tape mod? painters tape seems real improper even though it's popular.
Nice im about to buy a gmk67 to use with silent lemons
is it safe to tape mod the gmk67? because it has a battery and i think it may cause fire
yeah it's got to be bad for letting it overheat? and then the tape glue would get really gooey.
how in the world does this guy not have 1k+ subs
Hey! Is it possible to reconfigure the keymap for it?
what was the switch opener that he used
Why POM plate if the keyboard has a PC plate?
Thank you that’s my mistake! It is a polycarb plate.
What did you prefer in terms of feeling and sound, lubed cream yellow or lubed gateron milky
lubed cream yellow for sure!!
@@7xip how it is without lube?

Thanks and sorry!! It’s a blessing and a curse, the sound has been spoiled but, imo, you know it sounds good

Is that the grey option? Is def looks like a cream color on camera
Would adding pe foam in this make it more poppier?

Thanks for your vidéo, i will do the same keyboard in a few weaks
xht-bdz on the stablizer wires, 205g0 on the housings. this is the way, trust me.
Just ordered some, time to join the religion
@@7xip You'll be a believer soon. Word of advice, use less than other lubes/greases. A thin even coat on the wires is all you need.
@@mrwwwebssorry but, Will the xht-bdz from Ali work?
Honestly I'd just spend the extra few bucks and order it from a reputable keyboard vendor.@@souL_TV
How’d you get the top casing off? I’m struggling so hard rn
It took me so long!! I worked around the edge by the usb ports with a small flathead screwdriver and eventually got it off
Kind of a noob at this, as I am looking to start my first build! How were the stabs? Would it be worth it to get Durock? Are they even compatible?
These ended up turning out really well but the extra step would definitely to get some better stabs. Durock would work but you have to get plate mount!
is that some sorta zoras fountain remix?
Yes it is! I like using nintendo music for my videos
hi just asking but how many switches does it take to fill up this keyboard?
Even though it’s a 67% because of the knob I’m pretty sure it only took 66 switches!
Lmao, the funny thing is, this build minus the keycap is the exact build that i was going to get, and then i saw this video right after i made up my mind 😆

how did you take off the top housing?

bro the stock creamy yellows sound better than my kailh box brown's 😭
👍 Video Need recommendation for 67-75% keyboard with white or blue backlight, NO RGB, Just to see keys better👀 thanks
Thanks! If you don’t want RGB you can find plenty of boards that let you do just white coloring. If you need any more help feel free to email me.
how much was it???
could you please link the mod tutorials would be greatly appericated
Keep it up!!!
I really enjoyed this especially for being your first video
Have you tried gateron pros? If you have how do you think the factory lubing compares to the akkos?
Gateron factory lubing is way better than Akko in my opinion. As Gateron had more experienced and budget/tech than Akko.
aren't you not supposed to tape mod it because it may become a fire hazard?
Nice video! But idk why its hard to understand text
A daughter board at that price point is insane.
Though some cheapness of the board can be seen, I think the feature set, whether that’s gaskets or a dedicated daughter board, is very hard to beat at this price. Thanks for watching!
