"WE WANT MORE"!!! Preach it brother!! RC10T! As hot as this vintage market has been over the last few years, no one has re. Released any stadium trucks.
As do I. We can all hope and keep our fingers crossed for some new announcements from AE in the new year. I mean they said they were putting out multiple products to celebrate 40 years of the RC10 and 60 years of associated electronics.
I am still waiting to get mine, I hope it actually gets sent and soon! I really want to build one from a nib kit! It was kind of a bonehead move to stick the unprotected body right onto the aluminum chassis to get all scuffed up in transit. I really do hope they respond to this release and start making some other re-release kits. Who knows. I am glad you got yours already Ari and it does look super cool!
My first car was an RC10...I think I was 13? I remember how frustrated I was with some of the harder parts of the build, but man, what an accomplishment when I finally finished it.
That's what I'm saying, the RC-10 was the most build able chasis I've ever seen. So many conversions for it.thi😢nk about it,,,why did they put extra holes in the chasis for a stealth tranny, hmmm, interesting 😮
One with a Stealth, better turnbuckles, gold/orange pan would be a similar release as a Kyosho legends. What you said about addressing the shortcomings as Kyosho does a great job in that regard with their re-re (Tamiya not so much)
Tamiya never addresses the issues or weaknesses with their rereleases. I'd love for Team Associated to do a tribute RC much like the JJ Ultima. That would be a good idea...
@@RCRetromy most recent build was the a Turbo Optima I simultaneously changed to a white Javelin. It was a beautiful kit. Other than the spur carrier retaining clip everything went together perfectly
They "Team Associated" are not catering to the runner customers 😢 with the RC10 there playing hard ball , I mean first the 2013 limited edition and now a decade later this is released as a display piece then five months down the track they are now releasing a 40 th limited edition gold pan basically a display piece again , this clear edition would of been great if it had been released post new Gold Pan 40th edition with proper nylon parts maybe world car wheels and large wing and with that silver chassis and as a unlimited runner release it would of distance itself abit from the gold pan 84, just my opinion , love what you said about the demands by the way , thanks.
@@anthonyborg4399 that’s the same answer I got when I emailed them. I just paid a local 3D printer guy to make an RPM ish period correct bumper for mine and he was really reasonable. I may have him make me some white parts and see how the quality is. He uses the high quality PETG and only charged me $8 for the bumper
Great video and insight! I had a blast building mine. Associated has been pretty responsive about replacing the damage bodies if you wanted to go that route. On the servo link to bellcrank, using a countersink on the top and bottom of the hole makes it easier to insert the z-bend. I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with the body.
Yes I think I'm going to reach out to AE and see about the body.. Thanks for the tip about the z-bend. Good to know for the next RC10 rerelease... if there is one. Fingers crossed.
The only thing I've ever really hated about the RC10 is the box shows a platinum or silver gray looking shock, and the kit has gold shocks. I'm not a fan of the gold shocks. The QA stuff is not surprising but they should have caught these issues. Countersunk screws on the bottom, def should have been addressed. My guess is they would have needed separately tooling to countersink both types of fasteners which means a 2nd run of the chassis thru the machine that drills those holes. Cost saving.
Nice vid, good to see a build of it, i thought it would come with bearings, so i better get a set orderd 😉 i can see the 6 gear gold pan coming next year, after the prototype vehicle, comes the real deal 😁 and they have said somethings coming next year. I think everyone will have the body issue, but should be easly sorted. Got another month atleast to wait in the uk for this kit, so its lost a little appeal to me. But its still getting thrown on the track 😎
What I hope they do is another kit with a Stealth trans and late 90’s pin tires. The RC10 was a super durable platform. I’d love to have one as a runner
These car are hard to get. I somehow managed to get one. My understanding is they will only have 2 production runs of these cars. The first one has already happened. I have heard there will be one more in January and that is it. Also, the price has increased on these cars too. I just wish that these cars were made here in the USA like they used to be. I guess that is a lost cause. Thoughts?
Looks cool. Probably because it is cool. I dont think cool people use the term cool anymore. My daughter says the term "fresh" so ill go with "it looks fresh"
Why didn’t the rc10 WE sell well? I thought you guys lapped up this stuff? It was probably a much better car as well? That gearbox in that looks so Convoluted.
The more people that receive their... I'm finding that their are all scratched too. A lot of people aren't even opening their kits because they want to just have it to have it... but I bet their body is all scratched up too. Team associated big mistake with package the body....
These are cool. I’d leave the body clear but put the stickers on it. It would definitely be cool to get a new rere or 10T or possibly a 1/16 scale to compete with the Losi buggy or truck.
Just as I suspected, Why can’t we make a clear flexible strong plastic that’s just as strong as the old cream plastic. It’s a No go for me if the clear plastics are rigid and crack easily. I want to run it with brushed hand wound low turn modifieds.... bummer! I’m predicting these clear plastics will become very brittle and will break easily in say 10-15 years , even as shelf queens.
Tamiya re release vintage the right way, nobody can outclass them, with also the right price and parts, this vintage release is very cheap and overpriced
Have you built a Kyosho Legends Re-Re? In my opinion they are the best in terms of build as well as updates to run modern drivetrains. I’ve built the Scorpion and Turbo Optima
No special treatment here. Never had any contact with Team Associated or the company I purchased it from which was AMAIN.com. I pre-ordered mine the moment that AMAIN put it up on there website. As a matter of fact, someone announced that AMAIN had it up for presale on a Facebook group dedicated to RC10's. I immediately went to pre -order it at that moment.
Team Associated, bring back the gold!!!
Just picked up a cc, but I would definitely purchase a re-re-release. I'd buy 4.
"WE WANT MORE"!!! Preach it brother!! RC10T! As hot as this vintage market has been over the last few years, no one has re. Released any stadium trucks.
True that. Where is the love for Stadium Trucks? We need an RC10T rerelease. Also, maybe a RC10 tribute much like the Kyosho JJ Ultima.
The rc10t clear edition is out now .
That transmission is something special
it most certainly is. There is a 3rd party company out there that is reproducing the stealth trans...
I think it's stunning and fantastic to see TA do this. I think it has sold well so I hope we see more from them in 2024.

Yours not mine lol...
Mine will be driven!
Clear body with stickers would look great
Think I'm going with that.

Hey Addam, Hope you get yours soon. Yes not smart by AE but I'll be reaching out to them and see what they can do.
Yes, clear stealth drive transmission.
That would be cool as well.
Man I can't wait for these to become available here in Australia.... DYING to make it!!!
Hope it reaches you guys soon. I've seen people post pics of hobby shops in Asia that have them in stock. Hopefully soon.
Championship Edition makes the most sense to me.
Sure does. We want Stealth!
My first car was an RC10...I think I was 13? I remember how frustrated I was with some of the harder parts of the build, but man, what an accomplishment when I finally finished it.
I can totally understand... as a 13 year old. I feel like that now when I finish a build lol...
One of my biggest regrets was not buying the rc10 re-release. Great video, thanks
What tool did you use to install those clips into outdrive gears? The tool in the video has red handles.
Circlip Pliers from an automotive store.
interesting that its drilled for the 6 gear and stealth transmissions
Right... hopefully we get something with a stealth transmission.
@@RCRetro even if it was a kit to swap out the 6 gear for the stealth id also like to see different transparent colors added to the RC10CC line up

The RC10 CC body is the Schrödinger’s cat of rc. It’s both scratched and not scratched as long as the box is never opened.

Enjoyed every second of this video 👍👍
Looks amazing!
paint the scuffed one! the inside scuffs will vanish, and with the new clear one, best of both worlds!
Can even paint with Flat Clear to keep it clear?
