when I was 11yrs old I`d go from Hammersmith to Sloane square for school in Chelsea, wow a lifetime ago, I'm now 77yrs old...would love riding the `Underground` again but unfortunately not possible anymore as I`m now living out in Berkshire and never get the chance to go into London, doubt I`d recognise the place now, great Vid, thankyou.

One of my memories of a visit to London in 1971 at age 10 was a trip from Southfields to Earl's Court. For some reason, some really ancient lifts, no doubt since retired, form part of my recollection of the experience.
The District Line has never had a billion trains in it’s entire history, let alone at any given time

Fun fact: Wimbledon trains don’t just use one platform if it’s come from Edgware Road it’ll use the Richmond/Ealing Broadway platform

There is a sound mod you can install so it actually sounds like a s stock on ATS

Why does Train Sim World 2 not have the “next station” audible warnings?
You can add the ‘mind the gap’ audio, I know it’s not the next station announcement but it may add a little immersion

You can open each side of the train doors yes, they have separate button controls

This is from the S8 manual, press [T]+[U] for left-side door operation or [T]+[O] for right-side door operation

i have just donloaded the VDL, does that mean that it automatically is in the game when i load up the metropolitan line on train simulator classic?
Vdl is it’s own separate route. Make sure you have all the requirements too

I mean, us locos for example, why do I need em if I have Metropolitan and S7+1 stock already? Isnt this map going to work but not 100% correct without em or just not work at all causing errors etc.?

mind the gap announcements did it for me ..reminds me too much of the annoying real announcements on my local service plus door button and covid announcements ..all too repetitious.
While I found the visuals absolutely gorgeous, I also found the "Mind the gap" warnings out of place.

It’s so cool, and I’ve had a try myself. However, stopping seems to be my only issue. When I stop at end of the platform only the first carriage doors open, and I don’t get it. Any suggestions?
I think you need to wait for the door release buttons to go off and the interlock to be on whenever you depart a station

London Underground comes as DLC, this game does need a lot. It’s not simple. Here is a link to the District line. While the route is free you will need a lot of paid DLC which adds up, also the S8 tube train isn’t free

Do you have any dlc? Steam has a sale on right now. Have a read through the requirements for the district line to see what you need. The dlc you need is more then £100 it’s not cheap
