Really enjoyed listening to your thoughts on this series. I think there were some really good and interesting ideas, concepts, and characters, but they all needed to be fleshed out more. The last episode was the longest, and if all episodes had been that long, and there were 10 episodes not 8, I think that would have improved the series. They could have had the time to flesh out everything and to be able to explain why characters felt or thought how they did and why they did what they did instead of forcing us viewers to come up with rationales on our own. The actors who played Sol and Qimir carried this series, and both had really compelling characters. This series actually could have not had Mae and Osha, and probably would have been better without them.
Yes, I totally agree with all of your points! I really liked alloy of what this show had to offer, and thats why i wanted more from it. But yeah Sol and Qimir were the stand outs for me as well. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts with me!
Thanks so much for watching Catrina! I know we might not all have the same opinions on this show, but i love that we can come together and find a middle ground and celebrate the things we do align on!
you really been meditating on this bc like.. so many good thoughts and questions about this series. im glad the show exists and the swings it took im just sad it wrapped up in a way that makes me wanna forget it
@@TetPnk im really like glad you and i got to talk about this show, so you probably already heard allot of my talking points lmao. but it really helps hearing other peoples perspectives to not be in a echo chamber.
Also I don't know if this makes me the problem but after the ending I was like ok we need a season 2 because their are two many questions that haven't been answered and things they need to explore. Am I the problem 😅?
@crystalkyber honestly idk what it is that the tv shows can't take risks but if they put it in a book then fine lol. Star Wars can be high art and complicated and interesting in tv form. They keep giving is well done steak and over cooked rice. Like I believe in you please 🙏🏿 😭
@@taylorharris6907 omg not well cooked steak over rice! but yeah idk i hate to be that person, but i think disney is not the best company to handle star wars. i dont really see them (disney) taking risks
This was probably the first show that I felt disappointed by because I had high expectations for it. Also it made me realize why people love andor so much. You really get to sit with those characters. Sol is the only one that gets that treatment. I get that they went pass the whodunit of it all but past that every other plot seemed rushed or half baked. It's all fuzzy. Who's the main character? What are the character motivations? Is this about Jedi over reach or tragic misunderstandings? Is there a love plot? Is this exploring sith? The answer is yea sorta kinda. Also the tone felt so off. The fall to the dark side didn't feel very tragic. And I could get behind a dark side romance if they gave anything other than an awkward hand hold.
lmao, Taylor, your comment is making me laugh because absolutely agree. it really felt like it was afraid to take risks and with a show about the dark side and seduction, there needs to be some risk. Im sorry you were disappointed in this show, but at least we can be disappointed together.
@crystalkyber very much so. I'm hoping that skeleton crew brings something cool to the universe. Also a new book is out called the rise and fall of the galactic empire. It's like an in universe history book and I need to check that out. I hope it enjoy those!
@@taylorharris6907 cool thanks for putting me on, i havent read allot of star wars books, i need to get on it. theres a rumor we might get a Skeleton Crew trailer today! fingers crossed
Now this makes sense going through some of your videos seeing you in podcast your vibe is really cool, but hating on SWT and ejoying this slop they're spewing out goes hand in hand. Wonder if you'll do an Acolyte is canceled reaction 🤔
yo! Thanks for checking out my content! Yeah, unfortunately im unsurprised by the acolyte getting cancelled, and while i have allot of criticism for the show it is a bumme that instead of trying to make it better they cancelled it. I firmly believe we must demand better star wars
Maybe the real Acolyte, was the friends we made along the way

It wasn't perfect, but I liked it. I really hope we get a S2. 👍
yes I agree! What was your favorite part??
@crystalkyber The unraveling of the Brendok Incident, and the fact the series really did portray the Jedi as the culprits in a bad incident.
@@datboisteve6992 yeah it was really sad what happened with Kelnaca! that part really got me

no, they did that shit on purpose!! Like how are they gonna leave us with MORE questions. like at least answer the some questions

@crystalkyber yea I was kinda put off the idea but then I was like wait this could actually be pretty cool. Like go for it but they pulled away 🥲.
