Cody answering the question about when did he found out he was losing at WM 39 kinda feels like if the fans really got crazy they might've potentially let him won the title at WM 39 but if they didn't get the pop they were looking for this was the backup plan. Build the feud, get him approved and tested by Brock Lesnar, have cody win the royal rumble again and basically just turn him into the ultimate baby face so that when this time comes they get that pop, the reaction they want from the fans with cody being the face of the company.

The WCW kid and AEW fan in me will be overjoyed to see it, and will be insanely pissed if he loses.
The only things WCW and AEW have in common were that they were both on Turner channels, involved a Rhodes, had Schiavone as an announcer and were extremely poorly run by management who had little to no clue who focused too much on what WWE was doing rather than just putting out their own good product. Everyone says having more places for the boys to work is a good thing yet you tribalistic marks cant be happy having more wrestling to watch. In 2024, ripping/hating on WWE is so passe.

In the shoot out that wrestling has become on the internet it’s so nice to see a nice wholesome babyface that’s just trying to entertain the butts he put in seats
Yet cody is infinitely more likeable. Being raw and real is fine and all, but when you use it to drive your "character", then it doesn't feel very real.
I think Cody getting released in 2016 was the best thing that happened to him because his potential and stardom skyrocketed when he was in the independent circuit. He made appearances in Northwest wrestling, PWG, WCPW, TNA, ROH and a few other promotions. Then All In happens in 2018 with the biggest Non-WWE wrestling attendance event ever and him being a part of it was incredible. Then AEW comes along. He leaves and returns to WWE. It's truly amazing how he's evolved and where his journey is now. So happy he's WWE champ.
Cody has really turned in to one of the industries Top Guys and yet still so humble, like the shout out to Inferno Disco, those in the know just know 😅
Truth. I cant even tell how much of 2024 Rock has been fabin' vs working. Just get the belt off Roman and then he and Rock can go do all the business they want.
Ariel did a good job! Should of asked Cody a few more questions like: Why is he called the American Nightmare if he’s a babyface. Should of asked him about how he feels about all the pitfalls of the business such as pain pills and premature deaths
Cody's best move was going back to WWE he's become an even bigger of a star now than ever, the truest thing he said was this WrestleMania was a fan created main event and I can wait.
Some people here don't seem to understand that Cody's always working. Kayfabe may be dead but he's still a Rhodes.

@@alanchamberlain9902I’ll tell you what would happen next if Cody wins: something. But if Roman wins, nothing will happen until Summerslam. The months that Roman takes off with the belt are agonizing but people forget that once he shows up because he is great when he’s around. But that’s not worth the months of not having a WWE champion on TV.
@@ryanredd4552womp womp roman is the draw
Heelwani got punk and then Cody. He's on a roll
OMG, Cody mentioning "Julian Bashir" literally caught me off guard lol. Miles O'brien and Julian Bashir's dart games at Quark's bar, are stuff of legend.
He’s known to be a Trek fan.
cody said something really meaningful and insightful when he said "there are parts of it that are more real than you can ever imagine"
Cody is a genuine dude. So happy for him…
Cody is a magical wordsmith the way he navigates pressing questions. I could only dream of possessing his vernacular and vocabulary
He's lame
@@ilovecookiesmorthanyoutakes one to know one am I right?
@@ilovecookiesmorthanyouyou’re watching him tho
Seriously love his lisp. Definitely Dusty’s boy. Finish the story. Rooting for you Cody!
If you watch Cody's interview with Dale Jr, he talks about how his dads lisp was part of the character, whereas Cody was born with his. Which is probably why he tries really hard to hide it.
Just when you thought u couldn’t like Cody anymore.. this interview comes. Ariel is on fire this week btw 👍🏼👌🏼👌🏼
The way he weaves in between shoot and kayfabe is masterful.
I was a casual fan of Cody last year. This year I’m a super fan of Cody because he earned my respect as a fan! I’m rooting for ya Cody!
43:00 I’m not sure if it’s only in storyline, but what the rock said in one of his insta promos, was that he whispered to Cody about making the biggest main event ever
I love the Wrestling Hour segments. I think this actually put me over the edge to see Mania. I haven't see one in about 6 years, but I got to see this one.
I really appreciate that. The interviewer is saying, If any of these questions make you feel uncomfortable, you don’t have to answer. I think more interviewer should do that.
I feel like him answering like that was to keep a sliver of kayfabe alive. It's the magic. Hearing Cody say he found out after the 3 count. Keeps that disbelief alive. And I'm thankful for that response. We as fans don't have to know all the behind the scenes.
Cody is every kid in the 90s that ever wanted to be a pro wrestler growing up but also the son of the Legend Dusty Rhodes. I love that DDP is like an uncle to Cody and there for him like that. *Edit HE DID IT!!! CODY WON THE BIG ONE!!!!
He said exactly what I said. This is "The Renaissance Era"
Great interview! I genuinely smiled when Cody won in darts.
dude looks like a IRL Saints Row character 😭😭💀
That was my EXACT thought the first time I saw him!

From which game?
Its official, Cody is Naruto and CM Punk is Sasuke.
I Love it.
Cody/Goku, CM Punk/Vegeta

SOLID talk, Cody is the GUY.
Not into MMA but love this channel covers wrestling and boxing aswell. Fire interviews
I’m not a cringy Cody Rhodes fan but I have to say he has always had the potential to be a world champion in the WWE I’m just glad there’s a possibility he might actually walk out of wrestlemania as the WWE undisputed champion I’ve been watching WWE since 2010 when I was 6 years old I’ve always liked Cody Rhodes so I’m happy that he’s finally being appreciated by the WWE universe and the WWE higher ups
I agree. Not a diehard Cody fan but following his story really got me backed into wrestling honestly which I think he’s done for a lot of fans
I can appreciate that Cody is doing this interview somewhat in kayfabe because it's further promoting his matches at WrestleMania.
This interviewer journalist is real good ! Great questions bro!!! You just got a new follower! LETS GO CODY RHODES . DRIVE THE STORY AT THE END OF THE ROAD! Finish the race!
Cody is the uncrowned king and face of company without belt already hope he gets his belt to cement the same
Hell no
I quit watching wrestling shortly after WCW got bought out.
I returned with AEW when Sting came back and haven’t stopped since.
Cody’s blood is WCW and he most definitely represents both WCW and AEW, and this Sunday, he’s getting that damn belt.
The WCW kid and AEW fan in me will be overjoyed to see it, and will be insanely pissed if he loses.
Amen
The only things WCW and AEW have in common were that they were both on Turner channels, involved a Rhodes, had Schiavone as an announcer and were extremely poorly run by management who had little to no clue who focused too much on what WWE was doing rather than just putting out their own good product. Everyone says having more places for the boys to work is a good thing yet you tribalistic marks cant be happy having more wrestling to watch. In 2024, ripping/hating on WWE is so passe.
@@jrod2510And how many well managed wrestling feds you run Mr management expert?
cody with a deep space nine reference in 2024 what a world
Cody is ready for this. Wasn’t last year but is now.
It’s almost like last year he knew he wasn’t going over but this year he is 👀👀
Cody’s vernacular works so well in long form discussions I don’t always love his promos but even if he’s working it’s so compelling and props to Ariel for rolling through the questions while he is working
If Cody loses, we riot.
Riot squad?
We said this last year and no riot , chill 😂
if Roman loses, we riot
you will cry?
Just like last year?
Cody....a wonderful person and a true professional. Mad respect to him.
I love how he handled that answer of knowing when he was losing when he got speared for the 1-2-3
Does he know who will win in WrestleMania 40 before the match?
@@profpius of course he already knew, but he's not gonna outright say that, its pulling the curtain back too much.
Rollercoaster week of content from Ariel. Low with the rhea ripley interview, high with cm punk and another high with this. Cody was awesome.
Haven't watched the Rhea Ripley interview..Why was it a low?
What’s the matter with the Rhea interview?
@@Cabaret43Maybe just me. Found it corny. Couldn’t finish the interview personally. Deffo check it out though, you might view it differently.

@@AJ-dl2by Corny how? I had the same issue with the Roman doc on A&E...maybe corny isn't the right word but it was 10 minutes of doc and over an hour of a Roman Reigns promo produced by the WWE/Paul Heyman
He comes across more like a politician than an athlete. Meanwhile, his wife on X is bashing the rock unapologetically left right & center.
Because that's his character, the consumate good guy, to an almost frustrating point, this can't be that hard to understand
That's right he's another overrated mid carder like CM punk
It's the Obama/Keegan Michael Key anger translator gimmick in real life.
Back to back former AEW stars on here all we need now is Jade, Lexus, Andrade, & Shawn on the show 😂

Cody laying down the foundations for him and Gunther.
Let’s goooo, listening to this off the hype of your Punk interview. If this one goes as good as that one did, you have a new consistent listener! Always appreciated your clips anyhow
45:34 We didnt need to know that bit of information!
Another home run. Great interview
👍🏼💯
Cody will 100% be remembered as one of the best wrestlers at interviews.
He’s so professional, he holds just enough information back to keep the magic alive, and I’m more excited after the interview for mania then I was before. In the shoot out that wrestling has become on the internet it’s so nice to see a nice wholesome babyface that’s just trying to entertain the butts he put in seats
His nickname should be Mr.Diplomat or Mr.Politician. Every answer is so diplomatic. CM Punk's interview was so raw and interesting.
He essentially said nothing
Cody is the face of WWE. Cm punk isn't. So it's easy for him.
Yet cody is infinitely more likeable. Being raw and real is fine and all, but when you use it to drive your "character", then it doesn't feel very real.
@@KaijuCouturecry about it punk is great. I like Cody but he’s the John cena of wrestling right now.
Kayfabe, Cody lives the gimmick and protects the business
I think Cody getting released in 2016 was the best thing that happened to him because his potential and stardom skyrocketed when he was in the independent circuit. He made appearances in Northwest wrestling, PWG, WCPW, TNA, ROH and a few other promotions. Then All In happens in 2018 with the biggest Non-WWE wrestling attendance event ever and him being a part of it was incredible. Then AEW comes along. He leaves and returns to WWE. It's truly amazing how he's evolved and where his journey is now. So happy he's WWE champ.
Best part about Cody finishing the story is Roman not having a title anymore
This CodyRhodesMMAHour was the best episode so far.
Helwani was an interesting pick for a guest though. I feel like we might have seen him here before.
Cody is having a bigger run this time in wwe I love cody
Cody has really turned in to one of the industries Top Guys and yet still so humble, like the shout out to Inferno Disco, those in the know just know 😅
disco fe-VER!
Cody put his trust in the fans and we had his back crazy
The most interesting thing about his story has been The Rock turning heel,Cody is just a passenger now
Also can we just appreciate the fact he bought Seth a watch to commemorate the moment and their bond - like literally from rivals to best friends.
The Rock is a menace, If Cody and Seth cant stop him I dont know who will
Stone Cold not gonna let him run roughshod at Mania, Rocky catching a stunner no doubt.
Truth. I cant even tell how much of 2024 Rock has been fabin' vs working. Just get the belt off Roman and then he and Rock can go do all the business they want.
@@chalkbodyoutlinethe only thing that can get the Rock out of the way, is Stone Cold. I also think this is how it will turn out.
The best interviews are the ones where I am drawn in and get leave my seat. This was one of them.
Ariel did a good job! Should of asked Cody a few more questions like:
Why is he called the American Nightmare if he’s a babyface.
Should of asked him about how he feels about all the pitfalls of the business such as pain pills and premature deaths
American Nightmare comes from when he was a heel, and he probably has the same answer about that second question as everyone else. Boring questions
Cody's best move was going back to WWE he's become an even bigger of a star now than ever, the truest thing he said was this WrestleMania was a fan created main event and I can wait.
