- For me personally, Michael Carrick is on the same level as Xabi Alonso. I am not the only person who rated him to be on the same level as Alonso. In fact, Pep Guardiola had said the same thing.
He's such an underrated or probably the most underrated midfielder in the league. His passing ability with both feet, the way how he dictate the tempo in midfield & his defensive contribution, people often don't notice all of these.
I call him the Orchestra of United's midfield because of the way how he dictates Manchester United midfield led to so many success. It's very ironic how people were thinking he wasn't good enough for the National Team, England achieved nothing while Manchester United won lot of major trophies in his time. It's not coincidence that Carrick is part of important player in the winning squad/team while he wasn't involved much in the failure of the National Team.
This is my tribute on Michael Carrick.

Carrick's midfield dictations were just an artistry of pure romance. SAF really used him well. And I think Pep Guardiola would have loved to have him. He is Pep's type of CDM

Verb plural it drove me nuts. Manutd didnt win the league for 3-4 seasons in the mid 2000s and in 2006-2007 they finally won playing probably the best football they ever played and guess who was the sole signing before the season started? Michael Carrick. I remember getting frustrated at how utd play before that but immediately Carrick provided that control in midfield and utd players started playing fluid attacking football.
Playing gerrard and lampard at the same time in midfield was just silly sillyy.. ridiculous.
Both footed Carrick with his quick thinking skill is so amazing. He play one touch football the most and rarely hold balls more than 5 sec. Most of his passes was so accurate and unpredictable. He need to teach this to mctominay and fred on the training pitch.

While De Gea's videos when he won POTS for 3 seasons were all great, but the 'Three Lungs Park' video were so unique for me that i can identify his video were taken by other account, even when the watermark was erased. I love this. As a kid watching him, I felt so calm whenever he was on the ball and could never explain why I rated him higher than many other fan favourites. He’s an exquisite player, metronomic in his consistency and priceless in his reliability. I would so gladly have him in any team today. Honestly that pass at 1:50 is just something else. It's absolute perfection. If a Brazilian did that it would never stop being spoken about. The thought process in that short space of time. Every England manager who never played him needs to hang their heads in shame because he was one of the best midfielders this country has ever seen.

His best attributes were always looking for that forward pass thru the lines and keeping the pressure on when the opposing defenders cleared he just passed it back into a danger area. I'm all teary. I've failed to chose which is his best goal but I know its from the 2 he scored against roma. Thanks again.....
