Class player. Always loved how he never seemed hurried. He'd play the quick forward pass if it was on but he would also take his time when necessary and control the pace of the game.
Carrick was great in this match but look at the amount of space is been given by Spurs . Carrick is a very good player but Man U fans completely overrate him . Watch Carrick in matches where he is been pressed and he disappears from matches . Its why Man U fan are always talking about a loss of form when he plays bad . Its not loss of form its the fact that teams are getting tight on him and Carrick doesn't have the ability to control the ball in tight spaces , So he doesn't look for the ball and that is why he disappears from matches or has a loss of form at times.
Even if it's true that teams are getting tight on Carrick, IF the United players are aware enough to notice that space will open up elsewhere that can be exploited e.g the other two centrebacks can take up the role of building up play if Carrick is marked heavily
You don't win 5 epl titles and 1 UCL without being pressed. He isn't a Paul Scholes or Xavi style midfielders nor he's like Toni Kroos. watched him doing for the last 9 years at United and watch in tight matches against city and Liverpool last season. where Henderson pressed him but Carrick bossed him around.
Michael is one of the best midfielders who played the game
Best CDM
this is why carrick is my best player, so much calmness on the ball
some people laugh when hearing Carrick is world-class. He can play in the midfield of all European top teams
The Brain of Man Utd
just preserve him for truly important matches. simply cannot risk him playing all the time any more
Every match is important haha!
Clyde Macauley Pool, City, Chelsea, Arsenal, maybe Everton away. The rest I expect a win
My favourite player. Still haven't replaced him
That assist for Fellaini's goal 😍

Been waiting for this, thanks for uploading!
Very calm, no pressure at all
Was there that day, collectors item, to see Carrick score his only header for United 🇾🇪
Wilson at the end hahahahaha
้hahaha
The grace under pressure...MATIC he is your role model...can you do that?
my idol
Spare a thought for poor Wilson...
True
Carrick would be valued 70-100 Million in this era.
He was as good as Tony Kroos.
If Mainoo can developed into a fraction of what Carrick was,I will have a peaceful sleep at night.
Look at the amazing football LVG had us playing now we have to suffer the dross that Ten Hag been serving up
You must have forgot LVG's last season. Some of the worst football I've ever seen us play. It was awful to watch.
3 /1/2 years later and Young still can't cross.? mmmmm
Lovely
lol Wilson left hanging, poor lad
He made eriksen look like a kid. Carrick Tottenham product. Coys
Unsong hero

Completely incorrect you don't win leagues and champions leagues with a midfielder who cant manage getting pressed
Even if it's true that teams are getting tight on Carrick, IF the United players are aware enough to notice that space will open up elsewhere that can be exploited e.g the other two centrebacks can take up the role of building up play if Carrick is marked heavily
Against City? Pressed from the start by Milner and still bossed it (apart from first 15 minutes)
ROLLING STONE then watch him against city and liverpool. and also his entire 9 seasons with united
