This is one of my fav carrick vids, the complex simplicity to his game is so evident here, 2014/15 was when he started to struggle to keep up with the pace but you can see just the amazing footballing brain he has, this shows how much he was underrated and should have played so much more for England instead of Gerrard, Gerrard couldnt keep up with the pace mentally and went to mls in his early 30s carrick went in the prem till his late 30s... the difference is right there for all the carrick haters! Ps that little side step that sends yaya the other way when hes in his own box with 4/5 blue shirts around him.... Just epic composure

He already knew what he wants to do even before the ball arrives to his feet.That way,he did not ponder on the ball and kept the traffic moving which puts pressures on the opponents' defence structure.Mainoo should watch his clips.
