@@aumpatel6571 They are both different players. Scholesy was the brain of Manchester United. Scholes played the game like he was watching the game from the stands, creating spaces for others, made the game tick, made others around him play, controlled the tempo of the game. Bruno on the other hand is a great player as well. He has a license to anywhere, occasionally plays as a false number 9. More of attacking CAM who love to play the ball forward with every opportunity he gets as compared to Scholes who was calm and compose.
Modric is the closest I can think of.
I grew up playing and watching these guys, and definitely scholes was so underrated, he was incredible and humble player,, like what we see with Modrić

I don't care about the comparisons between players, Paul Scholes was the diamond of the team, the heart beat. I've been sad seeing players reach the end of their careers, but when Scholes hung his boots up I was literally devastated that I wouldn't get to see him play anymore, genuinely heart broken. A true legend of MUFC and an absolute pleasure to have the fortune of watching him play.
As a Leeds fan I fully agree, he was a special special talent.

The goal against Barca was absolutely sublime. He scored so many incredible goals but this one for me was his best, the finish, the occasion and the eventual champions league as a result of it. Just brilliant.

Paul Scholes may not have been the most glamorous of players but he was the quintessential players’ player. When football legends like Alex Ferguson, Zidane, Guardiola, Xavi, Iniesta, Henry, Messi, Bobby Charlton, George Best, Vieira, Roy Keane, Fabregas, Lippi, Pele, CR7, Shearer, Pirlo, Figo, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo9, Schmeichel, Rooney, Edgar Davids etc. sing your praises, you know you are something special. The greatest Man United and English midfielder of all time.
Having grown up in Manchester seeing so many players come through Man U I dont care about statistic or what they did in the papers but I will say this and I will argue this to my dying day... Paul Scholes is the best Attacking midfeilder I have ever seen in 51 years of my life. I understand the likes of Lampard and Gerrard but his ability to one touch pass and his field of vision nobody not one person in the last 30 years had. Yes I am a Man Utd supporter, have done since I was born but you cannot tell me he was not a complete legend.
Unquestionably the single greatest English midfielder of all time. For me an absolute nailed on in the mix for top 20 midfielders of all time and top 100 players. Apart from the top 2/3 positions on each list the rest are down to preference really. A true All Time Great and if there was such a thing a certified Hall of Famer. As a Culer I was almost as sad to see Paul hang up his boots as I was when Xavi did, or I will be when Don Andres does the same.

I remember watching him when I was young and only caring about those stunning goals he scored. I don't think I realised how good he was at the time and if I hadn't seen what that Barcelona team could do playing Paul Scholes football I don't think I would have ever appreciated quite how good he was.

What you can’t see in these videos of Paul scholes is how he would dictate the whole game the tempo of the game, everything would go through him, he was the engine for United revving us up unreal and far better than these videos can show, you need to go and watch 10 full games of him to see how good he was

People today simply want 'the best' without knowing what 'the best' looks like! Even videos like this don't really do justice to his actual-self! He saw lines where there was no line, he saw the pass where nothing existed. He saw the move where nothing existed a moment ago. He fooled them going forward, he fooled them again by dragging them out of their positions, altering the tempo, changing the flanks - dictating the game entirely. He did things that a brain capable of tracking exactly 20 moving dots (leaving 2 Goalie and the referee out of this!) in a rectangular box at any given time - could do, only him! He knew how to create out of thin air. He was the true magician of the game.
