- Star Wars Games are a complete joke. Lucasfilm Games continue to drop the ball and continue to let fans down in what has been a lean and uneventful few years for Star Wars Games. It's time for change.

It's such a shame they dropped a live service Star Wars game right when the Disney+ shows started popping off. So much missed earnings, it's insane. Definitely some gross incompetence.

Disney Star Wars is the entire reason nobody cares about the franchise. It killed the enthusiasm of old fans and failed to make new ones.
it's a shame they don't work on games like battlefront 3 or even an animated star wars the clone wars where you start from the jedi temple and go around the planets with your troops and fight it's a shame because there are so many possibilities and as a star wars fan I am sad they don't work on games like this

You decide with your money, and as long as star wars is owned as a monopoly, and has no competition, it will never get better. Which is why I can’t take this video, channel, it’s viewers and subscribers seriously, cause you all say one thing, but do nothing about it. Cancel your disney+ subscription, and never visit disneyland again, if you want star wars to get better, simple as that.

I still don't get why giving the fans what they want is such a mindblowing concept. Literally, if the fans just get a good multiplayer shooter (Battlefront 3 for example) we'll be happy and if we get a good single player game whether it be an open world RPG game or a linear story driven game as well then even better. These two maybe three games would be viewed as amazing by not just the fans, but to gamers in general.
Because they detest the fans. They have a deep an unrelenting hatred for you and every other fan. They hate us beyond measure.

@@conflictedomega7562 I played it last week it’s perfect. Every single big game launches with bugs have some buyer’s awareness and don’t buy the game for 3 months. Even when I played through the first time I had no issues and that was 3 weeks past launch. Like this guy’s whole video is about how we were betrayed by not getting more battlefront when battlefront 2 was unplayable for like a year.
They could even go back to bf2 and build from there. I would be happy with that with the likes of more Jedi/sith hero’s, more maps, 1v1 multiplayer, and even more abilities for hero’s would be cool

Most of these games in development didn't even start until the EA license ended. It's amazing we have Outlaws after such a short time. I still have hope more will be released 2024-2026. I don't think it's time to panic yet.
As for the choices of games, I think the people in charge of these decisions are all older. They're fans of the OT, they grew up and love it. So that's what they make. But the truth is most of the gaming community these days are younger, and they grew up and love the PT or new media.
At least we're still getting one game a year lol. But I do wish we had more, especially something multiplayer.

Because it’s not fucking canon anymore. Also the sequel bombed bad that’s why there was canceled before Disney even got ahold of Star Wars. We just got Jedi fallen order and Jedi Survivor both of which are the number one and two Star Wars games of all time.

Yeah man it’s really bizarre. It’s sad that there is no hype for Star Wars right now. In my opinion Outlaws looks a bit mediocre. Disney has a gold mine in the palm of their hand & they’re letting it go to waste.

I still play Battlefront 2 (2017) to this day and it genuinely breaks my heart everytime I hop on as there was so much potential with this game. The sound design, the visuals and modes were all there but nope, we got battlefield 2042. Yay.....
Star Wars is my favorite fictional universe in any media, so this hurts.
Yeah it’s a real shame they didn’t present anything with Star Wars at the game awards, that would probably be your best chance to do it. I forgot about outlaws and the other stuff in development. I’m more focused on GTA 6, Dragon ball sparking zero, Jurassic park survival, and monster hunter wilds. I got enough of Star Wars won’t show up with anything.

Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor are the only reason why Im still hoping for any break in SW games. These games are one of the best single players I haver ever played, but they are SINGLE PLAYER. We need another Battlefront, we need another SWTOR, we need ANTHING
Another contributing factor to the fans losing interest and replacing it with frustration is the blatantly shameful treatment and quality of most star wars media from Disney. The sequels were stupid, mandalorian ended on a low with season 3, boba fett was bad, kenobi was a horrible disservice, ahsoka was poor, etc. Aside from andor and jedi survivor, star wars fans have been let down on every front, ESPECIALLY in the past 4 years.

It's just impossible to hold out hope. I Remember when about a year ago I had so so so mcuh hope that i started creating content on star wars games. I've never been more motivated in my life and for what? For all this to just get crushed and destroyed. I wish there was something to talk about, and I wish there were people here who wanted to listen, but honestly? Creating the same video every week saying that sorry, nothing is going on no new stuff coming out would just be depressing.
As someone who got inspired by you to create content it just pains me to see you so crushed whenever you talk about SW.

It’s funny how they support the idea of a pay to win mobile game more than a live service multiplayer game that could have tons of cosmetics they can make money off of
Perhaps a bunch of Devs did pitch their idea to Lucasfilm Games but they said no to all of them but the Singleplayers.
Also perhaps People haven't realized that the opening up of the license doesn't mean all "AAA-Studios", but absolutely all Devs, even Solo Indie Devs. As long as you get the greeenlight from Lucasfilm Games (again - maybe that greenlight is the Issue)
The only advice I have for people waiting for Star Wars games is this, play something else. There's so many other single player and multiplayer games to play, that dwelling on a single IP that's going through a rough patch is rather pointless and potentially unhealthy. Waiting around for a game announcement and then having a meltdown when it doesn't happen is just getting you one step closer to having a heart attack, stroke, aneurysm etc. If the only games you play are Star Wars games then I don't know what else to say to you other than it's time to move on and find a new hobby.
Battlefront 2 was amazing, so atmospheric, great gameplay, great future, and ea once again ruined it with pay to play, then abandoned it after getting it to the state it should have released at
You say that star wars games are dead but I know for a fact that a battlefront 3 or the KOTOR remake to label a couple would make insane numbers and yet they either don't bother making them or just cancel them after 2 years of development.

Force Unleashed 3, Battlefront 3 or a Revival of BF2 could very well happen or should be in consideration. I hope they make a Rebuplic Commando II or an Imperial Commando game.

The fact that a KOTOR remake of all things has been in as much turmoil as it's already been in has significantly damaged everything else by proxy. I'm not interested in Outlaws at all mostly due to Ubisoft and due to just not knowing much about it. Eclipse isn't coming out for a loooooooong time, and Quantic Dreams being in charge of it also doesn't give me confidence either.
Just miss after miss after miss. You'll get occasional gems like Jedi Survivor, but almost everything else is a miss. It wouldn't surprise me at all if a big part of the problem is Disney themselves not knowing or caring about video games, while also being incredibly overbearing over what goes and what doesn't go. The fact that Battlefront 2 EA and the other games have to follow the canon as closely as they do has stifled creativity to horrid degrees.
It's not that surprising to me that after years of none or next to no single player games that they've now overcorrected to not having any multiplayer games at all. Then again, considering how EA and Dice handled their BF1 and 2, BF3 probably would've had similar issues that would've taken a while to fix after launch. With them having to stick to the canon closely too, it probably wouldn't have that different from BF2. We probably won't see a Force Unleashed 3, EAW 2, or anything like that because they want nothing to do with the old canon that was developed by people who cared more about gaming.

the last news we got about Star Wars outlaws was a small behind the scenes from Ubisoft and what era it’s gonna be. (And if the avatar game is showing us anything, the outlaws is gonna be a Far Cry clone)

It's crazy to think that pandemic's plans for battlefront 3 and even what they did with renegade squadron was lightyears ahead of anything EA did. Disney getting star wars was the worst thing to happen to it.

the main recent here is the currently dominating live service games
with EA, Apex Legends is still the main golden goose so they just want to maintain that playbase maybe prepare for the next battlefield game
the hierachy of live service games has barely changed for 5 years with Warzone, Fortnite, Apex, Destiny 2, GTA online,... still on top of the food chain so these games' publishers wont want to change it
which also points out another problem, every online multiplayer nowadays has to be live service instead of just simple, traditional like 10-20 years ago
your only 2 hopes now are the FPS and RTS games from Respawn, they can potentially have multiplayer modes
if not, we have to wait atleast another 4-5 years which is average development cycle for an AAA game today

Quality over quantity. Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor were some of the best Star Wars games ever made. A full blown, complete single player experience, with no paid DLC nonsense. Sure, Jedi Survivor had a rough launch, but they pulled through months later with patches, and the game runs better now.
Lucasfilm Games is just the licensor. They don't develop games like the old LucasArts used to. And they don't hire any developer to develop Star Wars game.
Funding for the games depend on the publishers, while LFG charge for the licence and a percentage of the sales. Lucasfilm/Disney don't fund it.
And even though the licence is no longer exclusive to EA to produce and publish Star Wars games, few developers are taking the risk to produce a game. Ubisoft is developing Outlaws, Warner with LEGO Star Wars, and Quantic Dream with Eclipse.
For KOTOR Remake, it was Sony that shut down development, because they were not satisfied with the demo developed and presented by Aspyr. Sony is well within their right to pull the plug if the quality is not up to par.
Lucasfilm Games didn't make the call. In fact, just a few days ago, SVP for Disney gaming acknowledges that the original KOTOR is popular with fans, but he can't comment on the current state of the remake, because it's not in active development.
Whatever's happening to Star Wars gaming is happening to all video games.
It's high financial risk to develop video games today. And many development studios are laying off staff, or shutting down completely.
It makes more financial sense to work on original IP, or work on sequels from existing video game series than to get entangled with external licences like Star Wars or Marvel.
Jedi Academy was superior to fallen order or survivor. They didn’t feel like games at all, just movies with boring stiff combat.

the problem here is simply who should make this game? DICE for sure will never touch it ever again. and under EA there would only be RESPAWN left for a BF3 in my eyes. they already got enough SW games in the making tbh.
and outside EA there is really no studio which makes those kind of sandboxes. And even if they would find a new studio it would be a different kind of Battlefront once again.

It's crazy, season 3 of Mando was kinda hard to get through, Boba was hard to watch didn't finish it, Ashoka didn't finish it, Kenobi I was just there for the fight and to see Vader do force stuff. I don't remember anything from these Disney movies they so just NOT IT! lol but there was something different about Andor, my brothers, pops, friends who are in love with Mando and Kenobi never talk about Andor but honestly I love lightsabers, who doesn't?!?! so I was never really interested much in the stuff without some sort of Saber but Andor changed that. It felt like a different franchise almost but in the same worlds I guess.. it hooked me, there was something so off putting yet so right about the way it was building. It had this darker tone, this serious tone I never really got from Star Wars before and then prison scenes got there and it was like the build up was right.. the story was right.. the acting was ON IT! It was sad and dark and so immersive with just enough hope sprinkled on top at the perfect times. Please watch Andor if you haven't!

I guess there is still a balance to be struck between single-player games and multiplayer games. I started playing Lucasfilm games back when there was no choice BUT to have single-player games - because the internet literally didn't support multiplayer back then. Then, a few years back, it seemed that the pendulum had swung completely in the opposite direction and you could play nothing BUT multiplayer games and every game available was a CoD clone requiring little more than button mashing and mini-transactions - and let's not forget, there was a hell of a lot of screaming about EA back then. As someone who grew up on single-player, I prefer the immersion they afford. But I can also see that they're not for everyone and there really should be a way to cater to all tastes. It does seem rather weird that the Star Wars gaming environment is in this weird "either/or" situation right now.
Not everyone is interested in multi-player games, I personally have never been a fan of battlefront games. I much prefer single player story driven games but the issue with the latest ones is that Disney doesn't know the IP enough.
They had the winning formula years ago with the Jedi Knight and Kotor games. All they need to do to print money today is make modern versions of these.
Jedi Outcast had the best multi-player experience period.
Star wars games are a joke, the entire star wars franchise under disneys rule is a joke. Except for the fact that we don't get a lot of star wars games, i would say the games (at least the story) is good because the films and series are so fucking shit, the acting, cgi, message and story is terrible. Disney, EA, Respawn and other video game and movie studios need to get their act together.
We still have tournaments on Battlefront 2015 and pubs are alive everyday. It’s a great game. They just need to build off its mechanics. BF2 mechanics/infantry is terrible. They could make BF3 so good
I think the lack of visible hype for SW: Outlaws is a symptom of the Star Wars fan base’s disappointment in Lucasfilm and the general apathy and pessimism towards anything new being added to the universe these days.
Outlaws sounds like fun to me but I want a new Rogue Squadron/Starfighter style game. I wouldn't mind a new KOTOR style game with an original setting especially if they don't shove being a Force Sensitive down the players throat. I still have hopes for the KOTOR remake comes out, and no I don't assume the rumors of it being canceled are true without proof.
I would love a new Empire at War or Rebellion style game.
EDit: I guess those of us who have little or no interest in multiplayer games don't count. Sure I got Squadrons but that was just to play the single player campagin.

Even if EA just revived Battlefront 2 with a new studio for new maps, characters and weapons it would satiate us for a while until a new multiplayer game came out. Still bothers me they dropped it for a battlefield game that was DOA. Honestly I don't see how Lucasfilm Games could top what bf2 is now. Maybe we can cross our fingers that Respawn will add a multiplayer mode to their SW FPS sort of like mass effect 3 multiplayer style.

I didn't expect Lucasfilm games to be at this years Game Awards show no surprise there. Many are still in the works and not ready to be shown just yet not until 2024. We'll probably see something at next year's Star Wars Celebration and other game showcases I'm still hopeful.

Too much focus on Triple A games in general. I'd like to see remakes of Double A games like 2005 Revenge of Sith. Jango Fett 2002. Republic Commando 2005, Clone Wars 2002
They're now owned by Disney, we won't get what we want sadly. LucasArts was better when Disney wasn't around to grasp it. HECK! We almost had a C.O.D styled mature-rated Star Wars game. I still enjoy Battlefront 2, jedi survivor and jedi fallen order and some of the old games from the 2000s. But now no one gives a crap. Disney is rigging the Star Wars franchise. Star wars theory had a similar problem more with the shows on D+. We need more multi-player games.

I want star wars to be story driven to carry me away into that galaxy far far away and not to take my will to life with cheeto dust sniffing 16 year olds in a TDM Battlefront match.
They know what most fans want. They just don't see any benefit in a multiplayer title after the BF player base dipped and Rouge Squadron came out to be a POS.

We’ve gotten more Star Wars games like the Jedi series ,bf2 and the skywalker saga just recently when most franchises barely get any games. It could be so much worse plus we get outlaws this year saying it’s dead is a complete joke when other franchises would kill to get what we have

Jurassic Park, Avatar, Dragon Ball Z and Marvel's future looks brighter than ever, but it's sad to see that the Star Wars Community is suffering from the sheer incompetence of Kathleen Kennedy and lucasfilm. *Kathleen Kennedy has to go I'm sorry but I walked away from Star Wars as soon as I saw the rise of Skywalker it just shows to me the decline of the brand and the longer that it's under Kathleen Kennedy the more the brand will continue to decline.* Most of all the handling of the Star Wars games is in a poor piss poor State, I mean where is Star Wars Empire at War II it's a strategy game yes, but at least it's a Star Wars game that is still popular and being played to this day by thousands of PC players who have been begging lucasfilm for a sequel but obviously they ignore what the Star Wars fan base is asking for. Star Wars Outlaws to me is just another Bland title that is with the word Star Wars on it and I'm not excited for it. *I'm actually hoping Microsoft revives Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic because this is supposed to be their title in the first place and Sony's financial problems obviously are not bringing this game to life also Sony would bleed money if they put so much into this project if it was an exclusive so that only leaves one company that has a legacy with Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and that has to be Microsoft and this title should never have left Xbox for Sony to begin with because obviously Sony wanted out of the development of this game and only Microsoft has the resources to bring this game back currently right now.*

I tried giving Fallen Order a shot, it just felt sloppy. Survivor just felt bland and boring, especially for a 2023 game. I couldn’t finish either.
Darth Vader game, post RoS learning his suit and fighting off surviving Jedi’s has so much room for potential. Bounty hunter game even! Hell the one made in 2002 is timeless, remake it even or release the cancelled sequel !
