Can't believe this guy foresaw the banning of bump stocks way before it happened. I'm so glad I found this channel, I've been debating owning a gun since I was 18. It's time!
All my friends laugh at me when I tell them that buying magazines and ammo is a better investment than gold or silver. It's one of the best investments you can make in small quantities. Every payday, go buy yourself a box of ammo. I made a killing during this last round of ammo shortage. Sold off a lot of .22 and 9mm for over 5 times what I originally bought it for.

I live in Finland, where it is almost impossible to purchase a firearm, even if you have no criminal record at all. Despite that, there is a lot of criminals here, robbing and assaulting innocent people, that have no way to protect themselves. I know there is more criminality in usa, but at least the people have something that could protect them. I wish we had that as well. I dont think guns increase criminality, i think it is a result of bad social security and education.

Yeah, in 1776 against the British. I dont see many redcoats treading the country imposing taxes now days. But there is the possibility of a invasion from Canada, 50% of them are of British origin, and the Royal Mounted Police wear red coats. Getting ready here in WA state. Going to be a brutal year. Bought 6- 33rd Glock sticks for the Ruger PC9, I have 5-BX25's, 10 Magpul 30rd, 4-Magpul 40 rd for the AR, 5-17rds for SR9C. Need more ammo before the $.05/rd tax is added and ammo background checks. Have about 1200 rds for each but will up it to 2000 rds. Any more ammo or mags and I'll have to wait until I visit my daughter in Boise. Sad and disgusted at voters ever allowing this. For a state that has very little crime, none of these laws are needed. They've been slowly adding laws such as Red flags and all transfers background checks. Last year was bad enough by banning semi auto purchases until your 21. This is the first year they will be going full Commifornia on currently owned common firearms. Gates, Bezos and all of the billionaires is just too much funding even for the NRA too match. Just going to hang onto my shit until I can retire in Mississippi. WA has been a nice libertarian state until the past 10 years. Now its gone full batshit crazy with Californians.

Over here in nz you arnt even allowed to have an ak/m4 without it being really weird looking with no more than 5 rounds not to mention you cant have pistols, there is a licence yu can get to let you get those thongs but it takes years to aquire.

Man, I can't help but laugh at all the anti-gun horse hockey in the comments section of this particular video. Seems like if you give humans a few years of progress and the illusion of safety, they forget how dangerous the world can be. Their mindset is always along the lines of "I feel safe, happy, healthy, and in no form of danger at the moment, therefore, I will always be". I own a firearm for self- and home-defense, but not because I think I'm going to be robbed or mugged, but in case I get robbed or mugged. Same way I have smoke detectors and fire extinguishers in my home. They're there in case something catches fire, not because I think something is going to catch fire. It reminds me of a quote from the Fargo TV show; "Maps used to say 'here there be dragons', and now they don't, but that doesn't mean there aren't still dragons."
And for everyone one in the comments saying "Well there was no ban, so you guys are just fear mongering idiots", try dropping your rabid, anti-gun philosophy for just a split second and try to view the video with a calm demeanor. They're not saying "Oh god, they're gonna ban all da gunz! Hoard while ya can!", they're calmly explaining that if something similar to the Clinton era bans were to be put in place again, you may want to get these things if you've ever wanted them while can, as they would probably be hard to get for quite some time.
These assholes and others just like them (basically 90% of gun store owners) made truckloads of cash off the "gun ban" lies and misinformation which were all politically and corporately motivated/charged... they said it in 08' and then they said it when this video was made when the only thing they were asking for was the law that had been in place ,which had loopholes out the ass, to be signed back into law and to take away ASSAULT rifles or at least make them harder to obtain. Shotguns and pistols are perfect for home defense and if you need an AR to protect your home bc you think that those will not suffice then you don't know jack about guns and just want them bc they are "cool".. just looking back at videos like this and the fear mongering that went on makes me laugh.

There would be no point in banning guns. If they did ban them, criminals would still get them through the black market and law-abiding citizens would not have them to protect themselves. And if they SOMEHOW managed to ban all guns from the US, (stop them from being smuggled into the country, etc.....) criminals would resort to using different weapons like knives, then those would get banned and they would resort to other things......

The main reason is availability. Most AK are from eastern block or ex commie nations, the collapse of the USSR allowed for thousands of these things floating around. They were manufactured in the millions and copied in the millions also. So there is a glut of these - an example, the Paris terror attack, the weapons were found to be ex Portuguese military which were on the black market. So any attempt to limit AK clones in the USA for law abiding citizens is not going to do a damn thing to stop AKs getting into the hands of terrorists.

I have a GI magazine from when the old ban was in effect. It says for government/law enforcement use only. I keep it on my mantle to remind myself of what can and has happened in the past.

Sure wish I could visit the range and then "tip a few" with you gentlemen. You're not only a wealth of useful information, but you seem like friendly good ole boys. Thus far I have the Walther PPK, Glock 30 and Mossberg tactical 590 shotgun. The AR (with mambo magazines) is next.
I really envy you guys. I´m from Argentina, here the guns ban is really tight. The government doesn't let you have any bigger caliber than .22LR without permission, forget about any automatic rifle or suppressor. Besides, guns and ammo prices are twice expensive due to customs taxes, and you only can import as much as 2 guns per year (not automatic, no suppressor). I feel like I was born in the wrong country. It really hurts to depend on some stupid bureaucrat over a desk deciding whatsoever he pleases about subjects they don´t even understand nor like nor know.

I hope I don't waste your time but I got a quick question about purchasing a firearm. I from the state of Indiana and our laws may be different from where you are from. The question is this, is it necessary for a gun shop owner to ask why you wanna buy a firearm? Like right now
I'm thinking of buying three long rifles one Bushmaster AR 15, one AK 47 and a AK 74. Also the funny thing I'm not planning buying any ammunition for them, but I rather buy them as an hobby of collection items.
I feel like this video was a little bit paranoid. I love guns like many people, but I don't specifically buy a gun because it can kill somebody at 400m or 1000m. That just seems a little crazy. I know there are people that harp on the lethality of a given gun as a selling point, but 99% of people that own guns just take them to the range and enjoy target shooting, or just enjoy collecting them, and that's it. When it comes down to it, everyone wants to protect themselves and their family, but you don't need to boast about how deadly your 20rd drum mag Saiga would be if only you got to use it. Mature shooters value safety above all else, not how manly holding a gun makes you feel.
I know exactly how you feel because that is how I felt before my personal experiences in recent years. I thought all the preppers were nut cases until I went through 2 hurricanes and few bad encounters. Let's just say my 12 gage home defense shotgun and my Beretta 92 side arm were not sufficient. I moved to better neighborhood with better neighbors and upgraded few firearms. Do I expect to through WROL or SHTF situations? I am 99% sure I won't. I am covering for that 1% unlikely chance. I don't take shortcuts when it comes to my family safety. Unless you go through crazy situations personally yourself, you will never believe, comprehend, understand others who went through crazy situations. When you see a perfectly sane person go insanely irrational in tough situations in just 2 weeks, you will definitely understand and prepare for that 1% situations.
Well my point wasn't to criticize people who have gone through tough situations. I was trying to point out that we gun people sometimes give anti-gun people a reason to be afraid and motivated to ban guns when some of our community's most outspoken people can't stop talking about how many people they could kill with their collection of guns. Owning a gun, in my opinion, isn't solely about murder. If its a "me or him" situation, sure i'd pull mine like anyone else.

I can guarantee you've never seen a news story "man/woman uses gun properly". But once theres some kind of shooting it's on the news for over a week. That's the biggest problem.

Generally ranges will let you rent guns to use, regardless of if you're a tourist or not. Some ranges even still have full autos.

A real assualt weapon is select fire, a military weapon. And the only civillians who can legally own a true assault weapon have a federal firearms licenses. Which takes thousands of dollars and extensive bsckground check.
So very few civilians actually own one. Most are look alikes, and don't fire full auto.

If I had DDM4 V11 300BLK, what mags should I buy that would work for both 300BLK and 5.55 nato? I want to buy a case because I'm told that both calibers work together in the same magazine. What lowers should I consider? What should someone worries about a ban be buying lots of? Should stocking up on amo be a priority? Anything else ?

I would very much rather own a gun(s) and never ever have the need to use them, than to need them and not have them, to protect my family and friends when for whatever reason kaos should hit. better safe than sorry, and better you than me.

Has anyone ever noticed that the 2nd amendment is the only right that we have to ask permission to exercise. You don't have to get a license of free speech or a license to freely worship. #ConstitutionalCarry
You do need a license for operating heavy machinery, or a car. Why, because you can kill someone when you don't know how to use it correctly. The gun license is actually far far less useful because any idiot can get a license to conceal carry but have no training on how to use the gun safely and effectively. Plus who is trained to handle a gun while in a stressful situation, almost no one, including the police.
While you may not need a license per se to exercise your free speech, you still need a permit to peaceably assemble. You need a license and have far greater restrictions in order to be granted the rights of the press. I think a ton of the anti-gun rhetoric would be easily tamped down if within the gun community, it would be okay to acknowledge that some people just shouldn't have guns...namely the mentally-ill. Why is it that families have members that they don't trust around little kids or parents/grandparents they don't trust to drive or make financial decisions, etc, but the argument is that everyone should have a gun at all times? Criminals? Terrorists? I mean, why should someone on the terrorist watch list be able to buy a gun? What am I missing? If I'm missing something, I'd be glad to hear it.

There are two Supreme Court rulings that directly relate to the current anti-
Assault Weapon issue everyone needs to be reminded of.
The first is United States v. Miller 1939. Miller possessed a sawed-off shotgun
banned under the National Firearms Act. He argued that he had a right to bear
the weapon under the Second Amendment, but the Supreme Court ruled against
him. Why? At the time, sawed-off shotguns were not being used in a military
application, and the Supremes ruled that since it didn't, it was not
protected. Even though Miller lost that argument, the Miller case set the
precedent that protected firearms have a military, and thus a legitimate and
protected Militia use. The military now uses shotguns regularly, but not very
short, sawed-off shotguns, but an AR-15/AK-47 type weapon is currently in use
by the military, therefore it is a protected weapon for the Unorganized
Militia, which includes just about every American citizen now that both age
and sex discrimination are illegal. (The original Militia included men of age
17-45) Therefore any firearm that is applicable to military use is clearly
protected under Article II, and that includes all those nasty-looking semi-
automatic black rifles, including full 30 round magazines.
The second important case is that of John Bad Elk v. United States from 1900.
In that case, an attempt was made to arrest Mr. Bad Elk without probable
cause, and Mr. Bad Elk killed a policeman who was attempting the false arrest.
Bad Elk had been found guilty and sentenced to death. However, the Supreme
Court ruled that Bad Elk had the right to use any force, including lethal
force, to prevent his false arrest, even if the policeman was only trying to
arrest him and not kill him. Basically, the Supremes of the day ruled that as
a citizen, you have the right to defend against your civil rights being
violated using ANY force necessary to prevent the violation, even if the
offending party isn't trying to kill you.
Both of these cases are standing law to this day.
The Miller decision clearly includes AR-15/AK-47 type weapons as having a
military application. The Bad Elk decision means that if the government tries
to confiscate your AR-15/AK-47, or arrest you for having one, you can kill the
offenders on the spot, even if they are not trying to kill you.

I just recently bought a Ruger SR9. Its a 9MM pistol with 17 round mags and I bought a half dozen extra mags so I can put a lot of bullets down range fast if I have to.

I started stocking up shortly after watching this video back in 2013. I've got 2 guns left on my wish list. A Romanian PSL and a Zenith MP5. It's not a question of if a ban is coming but when. 10 mags per rifle is a good rule of thumb too.

Noub Sailboat I own a .50 bmg, a bushmaster ba50. I bought it because i was worried that any day some terrorist cell would use one to bring down a plane, or use some API or APIT rounds to shoot gas trucks, propane storage facilities, cop cars, etc. I guess they dont do it because most of them cant shoot for shit. I heard some expert talking about the .50 barrett using tracers and sitting at the end of a runway to bring a plane down during takeoff or landing.
I dont shoot my 50 much because it is a pain to take out to my property, setup, and when i shoot 20 rounds is about the max that i want to fire. The brake is effective but the blast is punishing. I am going to take it out this weekend and see if i am still in love with it, if not then its going to be sold and i will be buying a belt fed semi auto to play with.
***** I have a 50 that wears a SWFA SS 10x and it handles the recoil just fine. It was under $500, if you get the rear focus it is under $400
