I love the way the orangutans hold onto and hug each other, it's so adorable. Though it's a bit sad that they probably do it because they don't have their moms to hold onto. It must be tough for the surrogates wearing a mask all day in the humid forest. It shows how much they love and care about their babies, they'll do anything to keep the little orangutans healthy.
Don't kid yourself. They do most of their "caring" for the camera so that they can attract more donations. These frauds don't want this animal to regain their health or independence any time soon because they will lose their meal ticket. They are just in the business of exploitation for personal gain.

This organization has released over 500 orangutans into wildlife preserves since they started. Sadly, they don't need to keep the same orangutans around because more are coming in all the time, victims of poaching and deforestation. They'll have plenty of work for the foreseeable future without needing to exploit the animals in their care.

I really wish U.S. schools would show the Jungle School series in classes! Young adults and children need to understand the consequences deforestation and animal abuse has on our world. Unfortunately the young here don't think much about it, because they aren't aware.

Spoiling those small orangutans means they will never go back to wild because they will become so lazy and very very dependent on human caretakers for food and every thing. if those orangutans gets released they will never bother searching food for themselves.instead of searching for food they will rather sit and eagerly wait for caretakers to bring the food for them.
