I have a question though, regarding the cable issue, does it have a problem when you plug only 1 cable on just 1 side depending on where you put it into the headphones? Or maybe it is only a problem when you plug 2 cables on each side of the headphones?
Thanks for watching and your comment, Rion! I didn't realize that there's so little coverage on these headphones either. Anyway, the issue is only when two cables are used simultaneously.

It's glued on 😞 which means you'd have to rip it out if needed.
How do these compare to the Sundara and the Edition XS?
I recently ordered a pair of Edition XS as an upgrade to my Sundaras, but they arrived with a dead left driver so they got sent back. Kind of interested in how these compare before I risk it with another pair of XS.

Nice review . I broke my Maxwell's . I almost cried 😹😹😹 . That media player i found a guy who's an audiophile and he Said he wished he never bought it and if he sold it he'd sell it to me for half price . The thing's INSANE and can easily drive any headphones . Great review
I received mine recently. My first open back and planar headphones. I’m still not sure what I think. I’m an audio engineer. Not a HiFi enthusiast. I was a bit nervous after listening to some well produced music. There is something odd that I can’t quite describe. I have done one mix so far and ultimately I was able to get to a happy place with the mix translating to other systems pretty well. Can be heard on my channel right now, LaMP 12/9/23 video. I hope I’m happy in the long run.

@@gearupaaron I feel like there is some kind of hollow honk that I'm not used to. Almost like holding a conch shell to your ear. I also think my ear adapts to it when I'm working in them. I've been using them daily since they arrived. I am having to mix/edit more in headphones these days. I've been a Sony 7506 user for like 25 years. In my limited experience with other headphones, I don't typically like the sound. Though this is the first time I've ever even tried something that was not in that $100 -/+ range. I've never heard any $1000 cans etc.
@cleantones That's interesting to know (in terms of the hollowness). Goes to show that you can make the world's best most expensive headphone and it'll still never be everyone. What a weird science, headphones 😂

How does the low end stack up to the audiotechnica ath m50x?
Good question... I'd say the ath sounds slightly fuller/warmer, whereas the MM is cleaner.
I love Regina Spektor. And her wonderful songs should be used for demo and reference a lot more!

This: USB-powered stand with RGB amzn.to/48zr71W - it's awesome, although the rotating part won't play well with corded headphones (for obvious reasons). Hope that helps.

In terms of...? SQ? That'd be either the Audeze or Nano. Go with the Avantone if you like the waffle maker look, 😂
If you compare the sound Hifiman He400se vs Audeze mm100, the difference is strong?
For the price, I'd still say the 400SE is easily the better buy. The Audeze has more capability but not astoundingly so between the two.

Hey how do these fair in front of dt1990 ?
I have those, so are these or any other audeze any better for music production over the dt1990?
Sound demos don't show anything. RUclips has tonnes of compression, and the sound is coloured by the listeners own headphones/speakers.
The last part is easy to fix though. Just buy a pair of MM-100s, then the sound will be colored correctly
You did not mention the lack of treble and treble clarity as a downside, as is CLEARLY demonstrated by the frequency plot as well as your audio samples. Very dull sounding headphones.
