Satriani was AMAZING! His solos were simply fantastic, but that drummer added a lot to the song for me too. Like in the beginning, where the drums are jazzy and then the guitar kicks in rock. Astounding.
Jeff Beck is cool. A excellent guitarist-a rare to see in concert. Can hold his hold and all respect to him. Joe Satriani-doesn't get any better than this!
I don't know what gives him more kudos, the way he plays or the fact that he was the teacher of several guitar legends. So that makes you a "no" you will never be better than him, you can only get a chance to be "different" :)

@PenguinarityProd- practice is key.One of his friends said that every time he made a blues arrangement, you should call it a Satch Boogie and then number it. The studio album one that everybody knows today is around #230 or something like that.
