She sings it great, fine voice. You can understand every word she's saying too, whereas Petty is somewhat garbled. The rest of the band is also awesome as well. They've got this song nailed. Bravo.

Why does anyone care about this? One of probably millions of covers by people who can't produce anything of value on their own. The singer has NONE of the desperation and passion that Tom Petty was able to show. Garden variety at best.
Why should the American Girl express "desperation and passion" when she lived in a land of Opportunity and Possibility. This was as, a reasonable expression as any.
