I had a "Dumbledore is gay" moment, where I didn't pick up on anything I saw (I just finished up the Cathedral fight but I know what happens up until now) until I read on the wiki that Caleb finds Essek attractive... and it all made sense.
Beau's like "you have tension with Nott" and Caleb is like "we're on different frequencies" but I'm pretty sure what's going on is that Liam's characters, by nature, just have an insane amount of tension with everybody. He can't help it. We're all here for it.
Even if Liam is a straight man through and through, I'm very happy that he's so relaxed with flirting with people other than women, in-game. I remember a Talks episode where he said "I mean, I kissed guys is college" with a tone of "oh please everyone does that". I know plenty of guys that even in-game wouldn't even so much as hint towards some playful flirting with male NPCs/the other guys in the party, so this is a breath of fresh air. You can tell he really does not give a f%ck if some homophobe questions his real-life sexuality/manliness because of his characters' actions. The whole CR cast is like that, too, especially Taliesin, and honestly it's one of the things i most enjoy about CR, they just have fun and don't care about that stuff

SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 131 AND THE RELEVANT TALKS MACHINA I am so in love with the fact that Liam was trying to get all four of Caleb's bi disaster crushes (he used the term bisexual so that's what I'm going with for simplicity) on the trip together. Astrid, Eodwulf, Jester, and Essik? That would have just been the perfect recipe for i disaster and he was very upset at his die's natural 1 lol.

So which ones were romances out of genuine interest and love, and which ones were out of necessity to get what he wants? Obviously Liam described it with the Essek stuff so that’s less of a mystery, but his thoughts on everyone else, it’s interesting to think about.

I don't think he is bi/pan. He could be for all we know, but he hasn't shown that so far. He considered seducing Essek, but it was for his personal gain, not for romantic reasons. There's also Eodwulf, but every time he speaks about the past, he mentions romantic feelings for Astrid, not Wulf. Again, he could be, I would love if it was the case, and I don't think everyone is straight until proven otherwise. But so far we only had evidences of him having romantic interest in the ladies (Astrid and Jester).

I don't think he is bi/pan. He could be for all we know, but he hasn't shown that so far. He considered seducing Essek, but it was for his personal gain, not for romantic reasons. There's also Eodwulf, but every time he speaks about the past, he mentions romantic feelings for Astrid, not Wulf. Again, he could be, I would love if it was the case, and I don't think everyone is straight until proven otherwise. But so far we only had evidences of him having romantic interest in the ladies (Astrid and Jester).

And did you see the talks moment where he said Caleb was attracted to Essek like 5 times? I really feel like that is the evidence. I agree with all the others it's just looks and really just my own head cannon at this point. But Essek..Essek is confirmed.

But in another talks, Liam said he thought Essek was interested in Caleb so he tried to use that as leverage to get more knowledge of dunamancy and information on the dynasty, but it didn't work. Like I said, he might be bi, I just don't think it's like ' OH MY GOD 100% CONFIRMED CANON'.

It's a fair question. For me it's about seeing myself in a character. But you are right that some of these moments may be plutonic. However, watching compilations like this was what helped me accept myself...so they have value even if it isn't to you.
