I can see why this would frustrate some people, but I think it actually makes the game more exciting because you CAN learn to time multiple parries against a chain attack and punish the last hit. I've been unable to fully learn some timings, but I'm sure it's my own skill issue instead of an impossibility. The parry frames are very forgiving. Even normal blocking is very strong in this game.
