As everyone is asking about how to do the grapple tech, basically they made an oopsie when patch 1.0.101.1 got released. You can just aim the grappling hook anywhere and it will launch you. This tech is so broken that they fixed it immediately 2 hours after. So if anyone wanna attempt this run, you have to downpatch to patch 1.0.101.1 (pre hotfix) otherwise it's not gonna work
@@raijinoflimgrave8708 generally, for my speed runs, whatever version gives the possible fastest time is what everyone uses until a faster version is better some runs are separated by version if those versions are different enough, like Minecraft, but since this game is basically the same as more recent ones (until any dlc releases) then this is fine. The only issue is that you can't do it on platforms that don't let you change the build you're playing, but there are other speed runs you can do instead, like glitchless 100% or something.

I spent 30 hours of my life finishing this Game thought I would speed run it only to see the world record of 15 minutes 💀 well at least i can still do build showcases and speed run it in my own ways
This is a different categories that allows all glitches and assist features. Some glitches like the flying with hook are not allowed in the 30 min categories there like no major glitches
Talking about the charge attack movement? Yeah, I was doing it on Game Pass version 1.0.102, you just gotta jump at the right time, just when the fork is going forward and you jump you get a good boost forward
It probably has to do with coding. My thoughts on it is that it animation 'locks' you and just boosts you forward during the animation. But cancelling the animation during the boost makes you keep the boost for the time you remain in the air and keep the momentum.

Turn down your fps to 60 it makes it alot easier then just jump right before the actually attack animation happens
