    Great video demonstrating the effects of runner length, especially under boost where plenum volume and TB size doesn't really have much of an effect at this kind of power. Once that intake tract is pressurized, plenum volume and TB inlet don't matter too much!

    I think it's time to use the different intakes on different camshafts, DC, skunk2, 4piston ect. And to give us a formula for a worked head stock block configuration

    • @realstreetperformance
      @realstreetperformance  2 месяца назад

      Great question. With this build even though its a stock, we wanted to replicate what someone might order at home. Alot of people will start on a stock engine, buy larger than neccesary fuel systems and maybe turbocharger , to be ready for a step up to built motor down the line. Thats the aim with going with a larger injector here. Additionally, Injector Dynamics 2600cc injectors perform very well even at low duty cycle for a clean idle and this mid 500hp target. On our blog post we touch a little more on that "prepping for more" subject :) Hope you have the chance to check it out!

    These engines are incredible. A 6466 is a huge turbo and it spools it fully by 4k rpm. In fact its probably getting positive pressure by mid 3k rpm. This engine with like a borgwarner S257 would be a menace

    • @realstreetperformance
      @realstreetperformance  2 месяца назад +1

      The K24 is for sure a sweet engine. I dont want to confuse anyone with spool characteristics on these tests. For a quick run down on the machine's use in this case, we are setting a start RPM, applying load, and building boost to a set desired point at which point then we allow the test to start / increase RPM (600rpm per second) .
      A standard K powered car on a chassis dyno with a 6466 will act different in how it spools depending on its gearing, engine setup, housing etc etc. The way we are able to test things on the engine dyno gives us 100% clear data to compare parts as we did here targeting the exact same boost levels throughout the whole run, but unfortunately cannot mimic real world spool characteristics just yet. We're working on a solution for that and hope to have one soon.

    Great videos love the content but dammit I’m tired of Ks , every car show , every engine swap , every video on RUclips is K , K , K ….. it’s like forcing COVID in everyone’s beliefs lol. Show us some Hseries , Bseries , Jseries Etc , show us Delacruz trigger kits install how they work and put them to use etc , there’s so much more content out there ! How to install / use wheel speed sensor with FuelTech or Haltech etc

      Thank you for watching through it! We agree for sure that going to the other popular Honda engines is going to be great. With the engine dyno we find it easiest to do multiple rounds of testing while one type of engine is on there since fitting a different series would require redoing alot of things. That being said, we have B Series, H Series and a few other Honda engines on the list! We will also be doing other manufactures engines as well :)
      We really appreciate the feedback!!

    DO your self a favor Don't , These Engines suck, K series have oil consumption issues and can't even go 3K miles without needing an oil change at least 3 times, Make a video on how to fix the dam VTC actuator, otherwise This POS will grind on start up and eventually take the timing chain tensioner.

      Hey good morning, sorry to hear you may have had an issue with a K series in the past with VTC and oil consumption. We can definitely do a video on VTC as there are alot of cool stuff to show on camera and also things to highlight on potential problems like you mentioned. Thank you for watching and we appreciate the suggestions! :)

    Can you do a k24z7 motor ( civic si 12-15) turbo
    In the 500-600 range
    With the original z7 head
    Then do another dyno graph with the z3 head from the 8th gen same boost level
    Type s a oil pump in both
