Always love the selection on the menu at Toscana, and the wine list is great 👍 always give your thoughts to the waiters., regarding food and drinks. They are exceptional at making things right! 😍

Hi guys. Thanks for another informative video. The calamari seemed to be a little too blonde in colour. The music seems to be a little loud, & you would expect it to have more Italian influences. I know you guys said that it was included in the price although you needed to book, but when I look around throughout the whole meal, there seems to be a lot of empty tables. I am sorry however that it doesn't measure up to your expectations. 😊

Well it looks like the "boutique" experience is not going well tonight. I will agree with Scottie about the music (must have been loud) and lighting. The aft view is so nice but could be enhanced by better lighting. I thought this would be a great meal but see that most of it for you was not. It is tough to watch food like that go to waste but you clearly hated it. One thing I don't understand is how when waiter asks how it is you say fine or great? I can't do that. I may not want something else or anything really but I would tell them that those main entrees were inedible. You have your reasons for not saying anything but I assume waiters had seen some of Scottie's reaction to the Veal dish. Anyway thanks for sharing.
Yes We Were Disappointed In Toscana specialty Dining Venue Considering The Grand Dining Room And Buffet Had Far Superior Food. We Decided To Cancel Our Other Reservation In Toscana. I Didn’t See A Restaurant Manager There To Speak To About Our Meal. This Was Not A Premium Dining Experience. We Will Just Write This One Off😀 Thank You For Watching And Commenting
@@code4forlife I noticed it was pretty empty when you left...did you dine really late or was it just that way all night. It is a speciality restaurant but included with cruise fare...is that for just 2 dinners or what is the deal? Yes I would have cancelled other res too. I love Dover Sole and I saw right away it was large for a dover sole. Shame as it is hard to find it on menus. Yes the manager would be the one to talk to. Can't get over that hospital lighting....oh well hope for better tomorrow.
@danielbobberson9849 We Had An 8:30pm Reservation For Two That Way I Could Film The Meal. During Our Cruise We Were Guaranteed 2 Specialty
Dining Reservations And Were Able To Get Two More Reservations Which We Have Since Cancelled Since The Buffet And Main Dining Room Food Has Been Overall Really Good. We Will Have A Video Out On Polo The Onboard Steakhouse Where We Had A Similar Experience As In Toscana.

Beef carpaccio looks good, but I think a garlic aioli would really elevate it a bit, just my opinion!

I’m not that impressed with Oceana at all from lack luster boarding to beautiful chargers , but yikes food. I do have to say , when asked you said it was fine. Did you ever say , the food was bad and what was the response?

I’ve sailed on Oceania several times and I believe your correct that Toscana is not really “ Italian”. The main courses are good but sauces are average.

What a waste of an animals life-it’s one thing how the inhumanely raise veal- but to make it inedible is a mortal sin. Oceania needs to get its **** together.
You need to tell the staff the issues.
If you don’t like the food, you should say so and get it replaced! On past cruises, I’ve had dishes that weren’t good and ordered something else that saved the overall experience! Sometimes, however you just want to run for the door when everything is bad! Not what I would’ve expected from Oceania!
We Have Also Sent Items Back. I think We Were Running Up Against The Time When The Restaurant Closes So I Just Didn’t Want To Be The Last One Out 😀

I worked 5*- other wait staff would pay me to make their ceases because their tables requested. Yes -sometimes necessary to go around prep authorized provisions.
Here Down Under, a Caesar also includes bacon, and the anchovies are macerated into the dressing. That balsamic bar looked amazing, but would have been even better if it also included a range of olive oils to pair with them. That said, the surroundings look lovely and the service appeared to be top notch. :) What a fantastic way to start your cruise!

Maybe they should watch your review and learn a few things. Unfortunately what you both found lacking, others may find to be too much. I would imagine that it is a challenge to find that middle ground. Great video!

I had no idea what ship this was, but she did. Question (if you're watching comments): You said that this restaurant is included, but is there an up charge for the lobster, and can you get it whenever you want?
The Lobster Is Included With No Up Charge. The Buffet And Main Dining Also Has Lobster Available With No Extra Charge
