  • Boundaries in relationships / Brené Brown / Vulnerability. #Podcast. Welcome back to a talk about the importance of having boundaries in a relationship. I talk about the insight Brené Brown has offered us in terms of boundaries being necessary for empathy and compassion. I delve into how boundaries are imperative for love and understanding - not just with others - but ourselves. Thanks so much for tuning in again to a podcast episode on self and social awareness. I adore recording these episodes so if you did too - please like and share!!!

    I recommend …
This book to discover and recover your creativity. I read it after coming out of a traumatic experience and it became my go-to book and journaling practice to help get me out of my funk: amzn.to/2VSWJ9j (This link also pays me a lil sumthin so I appreciate your support).

My favourite microphone for podcasting and recording in general is:
amzn.to/2JRlZK0 (Again I benefit from this link only ... it's a fabulous microphone but you will need an XLR and also a soundcard/interface: amzn.to/2Ij1966 THIS is the one I have and I have leved it. If you're a musician - or aspiring - then it's definitely comes highly recommended). But a simpler soundcard/interface - middle person between your mic and computer - would be a FOCUSRITE amzn.to/3ooEOmX. Now I don't have this but so many have recommended it. The Yamaha that I have recommended gives 2 inputs. It's also phantom powered. It comes down to your individual preference ;).

I loved how you talked about narcissists. It's hard for me to spot them until it's too late. I think you're spot on with their inability to regulate. Also, I love the validation you shared when you talked about reducing your circles as you set up your boundaries. I've experienced this several times recently. Thank you for this.

Thank you for sharing this information. I was just enlightened about needing to set boundaries in my life. While I have never even heard of this word in this manner, I am wide open to learning and implementing what I am being taught. I experienced fear when I became aware of needing to have boundaries and I could not understand why.
I appreciate this video and hope you will share more on this subject soon.

When we set boundaries we help others to behave out of LOVE not fear/anger.

Yes that is the ideal 'expectation' but I've found that setting boundaries will at the least keep fear and anger away. Not sure if it invited love. (Thank you for listening and for your thoughts :).
