It's really nice to see the work a skilled carpenter can do. There are so many on RUclips who only think they know what they are doing. It scares me to think somebody may copy what they do. Gotta admit loved seeing gable ends and rafters done the easy way!
remembering as watched the second time;;;hey hey hey;;;good work fellers;;;keeping busy keeps the body healthy;;;hey;;;we be wishing the crew a MERRY CHRISTMAS;;;A BIG THUMBS UP for continuing to bring us great content;;;
You see some of these builders now a days with all this ZIP tape, board and tons of Stretch sealer and its costing the home owners so much extra money and I bet this old school way of building is just as good and cheaper. Well done, amazed what I just saw.
These are useful to see if my old brain remembers the original videos, so far so good! You guys worked hard in 2023, making perfect buildings and structures.
"Can we build it? . . . Yes we can!" These words were spoken by another famous builder, Bob. 😊 Thank you for posting your time lapse video. You and your team are amazing. . . . and your name isn't even Bob. 😂
@@kenskarpentry I am a retired Science Department Head. I once had a student in my Chemistry class who gave me a "Bob the Builder" replica for a Christmas present. I must have mentioned how my grandson loved "Bob the Builder".
I loved the video. Your work is amazing, Ken. It was nice to see a Consolidated Communications central office across the street from the job site. you should ask them for a sponsorship for this video. LOL
I remember this one. Love the craft store. You made it look like it was ALL built together. Great job guys. I hope to see her store when she's completed.
@@kenskarpentryYou guys are a TRUE BLESSING. I feel like I know you and AL and GINA. You are the BEST. Loving our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Ken, one time you spoke about your wife's back. I've been praying since that day for GODS HEALING TOUCH. I too have back issues. You're amazing to move like you do. Thank you. GOD BLESS YOU ALL FROM SE MICHIGAN.
Perfect! 🙂 There are a few channels I model ours off of with how to present our work and yours is definitely one of them. Love your channels. Have a Merry Christmas Ken and crew. God bless 🙏
Good morning, Ken! Not quite sure. Is it perfect??😁 haha! Thanks for sharing ANOTHER great video. Hope you, your family and crew have a Blessed Christmas celebration. God bless.
Those almost-finished gable end walls look heavy for you 3 to lift. It appears to save so much ladder time that it is a great way to proceed. You guys think things through very well.
Ken when you hang out over the plywood I think that you may go to far and slide down the roof. Love these remake time lapse videos if only one could do the work as fast
Love the video Ken. But I had to laugh when at 3:50 the client casually walks under a joist lift you guys are doing. Hard to control those curious clients, no doubt! Merry Christmas to your team!
Merry Christmas Ken family & Crew How is the Creative Hands gift shop doing, have you spoken to your former customers? You should did an interview and tour of the Gift show owners, then put the time of the build on your channel. still like it good job of editing.
I know those wood I beams with wafer wood centers are lighter, and straighter, and stronger and I have used them but somehow I still prefer solid wood. I guess because in renovations you can sister solid joists to a rotten one and cut out the bad stuff. They also can take a lot of water exposure before failure. Time will tell on these wood I beams.
How many toe nails do you use to hold the gabble ends walls from sliding off the floor? I guess if you used too many you three wouldn't be able to lift it? And not enough it would break free and slide right off.
This is exactly what I'm looking to do at my house. Does the $54k include foundation / excavation work? I love watching your videos. Is there any chance you would consider a similar build near newburyport ma?
Beautiful job guys. I always thought a freight elevator would be a great fit in a garage like this. (Like Chase put in his Barn on Maine Cabin master) Approx cost on this job if you can share it. Ken and the guys MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄🎁🎄🎁🎄 STAY WARM AND SAFE !!!!
Hi Ken. Thanks for another great video! I really enjoy all your builds. I have noticed that in many of your builds that use I-joist that you toenail the roof rafters into the floor deck. I'm preparing to build a very similar garage (unfortunately I'm too far away to call you!) but I can't find any details in the IRC about attaching to the floor deck. Do you use any additional strapping or reinforcement that doesn't make it into the videos? Thanks very much, and keep up the great work!
Nice garage & shoppe.
Thanks 👍
Great railroad room for a layout
I think so too!
👍👍👍👍👍👌wow!!! great job Ken Dan & Chad!!
Thanks
Ken, really like this garage and the connection to the house.

I see there was an issue with the service wire, what was done there? Did the service have to be moved?
Yes they moved the service wire
ice job Ken. Are they going to leave the power line rubbing against the roof?
Thanks. No they moved it

The homeowner subbed that. I can’t remember their name

Nice work. But I don’t get why you raise the walls without the sheathing already installed? So much faster that way.
Is a "hinch" half a pinch?
Haha I think so

Very nice. Which town were you in?
Thanks Lyndon
I’ve never seen roof cripples like that before, I’d like to see those better.

You haven't mentioned the greenhouse lately..
Hopefully I’ll be back into it in a couple of weeks
