oh damn, thats how it went down! I forgot the plot of that arc by now but there was such a strong emotional attachment to the music from when I first experienced that as a kid 23 years ago. Definitely had tears also
I actually found that the most emotional part of the game (moreso than Aerith's death). For so long Nanaki had always hated his father, who died alone protecting the canyon. I remember holding back those tears! Can't wait to see how they recreate that scene in the remake.

Yeah me too! I want the music to sound as awesome as it was in the original. In my personal opinion, I want it to give off that Native American vibe, because that’s what I felt when I heard it for the first time on the original

This will always be the defining theme of FFVII everytime i think of the game i think of cosmo canyon and this themes always playing and this remaster really captures the spirit of the original and updates it to todays standards very well done. 😉

Always loved Cosmo Canyon. It was the "nexus of understanding" in FF7. It was always the place where everybody figured everything out. People, planet, spirit, magic, science, all were connected in Cosmo Canyon.
Totally! It really felt like the group bonded in front of that fire....and we learn the truth of Nanaki's heroic father. I always remember how Barrett made a comment that AVALANCHE was going to go there when their missions were done. :(

This is actually really good! I don’t normally enjoy re-orchestrated or remade versions of songs, but this is really well done and sounds to me like it could have been what the original was aiming for, and might be similar to how it originally sounded uncompressed.
One of my ff7 favorite songs. Even my cat loved it back when I first started playing ff7 in 1998. Good times. I can just picture my young self playing again 💚

@@Mcpblackheart I took a listen to it. It is a very calm and tame version of the theme. It's good, but take more risks. Add some more flare that is your style. The Seto part was really good with the strings. Do more of that. Expand on using different instruments and styles of music. I like it.

If anything Nanaki learned what kind of Valiant Hero he was to the bitter end.
