This video presents my daily routine back in my teenage years. I was singing a lot and to help get my range up (sing higher), I would always try to imitate these singers from bands that I loved. I honestly believe this helped develop my singing. I'm no pro, so that's the honest advice I can give you :)

Happy New Year everyone! 2023 is here and this year I'm going to be focusing a lot more on original songs. It'd mean so much to me if you could check 'em out as well

The world is finally over the pandemic... We're moving towards the new 'normal'. It's exciting! Hope you have an amazing year!!
When I’m singing a song, I sort of sing it with that singers voice
Nice
The way I stopped that was by singing songs in a lower range since I’m a tenor and it’s easy to sing but singing in my mid range helps go between ranges since it uses less tension.
Bro shit gave me chills when you did breaking the habit
Dude you have the perfect voice for pop punk! I really envy that!
The songs are so nostalgic 😂
I didn't know it was you singing until I Write Sins Not Tragedies-
Damn you're good
Oh wtf, i hadn't heard dirty little secret in a while. Hearing it so unexpected left a tear in my eye.
Fr just took me back to like early 2000s and bring it on
Holy crap! You sound just like these bands!!! Awesome!!!
3:05 i've got goosebump
bruh thank you, now i know ive been on the right track, ive been doing this for over a year now
This helped me in just confirming I’m not crazy thank you 🖤
great advice
You sound just like Simple Plan wow
Damn you're an amazing singer
ur voice is so fire bro
thanks brotha
I started singing at 19. Now I'm 21. And i felt i didnt progress at all. But when I listened to my recordings back when i was starting. It made me believe i had a chance lmao.
I really wanna learn the techniques of Jonny Craig however it's hard cause he's natural singer
Haha I almost listen to the same songs as you! Maybe you can talk about how you write songs for the next vid on this series? Keep up the good work!
i was thinking exactly the same xD lets create a group!!!
How did you manage to sound almost like kellin. I struggle so much at that. Like wow
4:41
Oh, hello Kellen. Btdubbs great Kellen Quinn impression!
Thanks 😁
LOVED the one piece at the end
i'm wondering sir, how you hit those high notes with full voice? because when i'm about to hit a high one i ended up like choking or locked in my nasal part. Should i sir louder to hit it?
i cried listening to all these songs
hey thanks for this im trying to mix this sound with hiphop but more singing. i know juice wrld did it but he rapped mostly.
the mongolian chop squad clips are GOLD
LOVE Beck!
Gotta love the BECK clips
You rock!
Thank you 🧡
Yeah, I've been following Ken Tamplin's advice and then I started imitating artists I loved in rock. I've developed a butt load of impressions of singers without forcing myself to sound 100% like the singer.
All of your singing is too short. You gotta upload full songs!
Especially pop rock! I’m waiting lol
I start singing when I was 12 years old but i get seriously when my age is 15 but I can't see any progress for me, there's one time that I give up completely cuz of my vocal doesn't show any improvements
I started learning how to sing a couple of years ago. I listened to Like Pacific for the first time, and I wanted to get my hands of that shouty, raspy, raw aggression while merely just singing. I still sound like crap.
You took the same musical journey I did 🥺
U sing like greenday🖤
didnt u strugle with the gritty parts at first? ive seen some of your covers and u do a great job with that parts but i wanna know how was learning that, did it came on the first try or did u got hoarse at first trying? awsome video btw keep it up
The gritty parts I only developed more recently in these past few years...
It was from imitating Jonny Craig (ex-Emarosa, Slaves) - Definitely check this vocalist and his bands.
And I think it's also because my voice finally started to 'mature' that I could develop a more gritty texture.
i see, thanks for the response!
I never realized how pop punkish Chesters voice was
Loved your show in Polyu
Thanks man!! 🍺
Mixed voice and compression are the key
SLEEPING WITH SIRENS YES
what if you cant even hit the notes how to extend your range
Love the one piece clip in there 😆
When you say you can't do the screaming parts that's like me with Andy Biersack and Chris Motionless, I can do the singing parts but, I can't scream.
can imitate on verses but can't reach the high notes so i can't help myself to use my head voice on chorus
Yeah I rely on on my head voice for high notes. My falsetto is super weak 😭
you nailed tom delonge voice in blink 182 amazing WOW
😂😂😂
4:00 what's the song called?
I just wanna sound like Kyle Patrick
How long it takes to sing like that
I literally came here because of Dear Maria, Count Me In 😂
Any advice on like vocal warm ups or clearing phlemy voice?
Apart from the standard - warm water, lemon + honey, etc.
I highly recommend this Chinese herbal drink (dw it doesn't taste like cough syrup) called "Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa" (google it). It clears my voice and I'd drink that stuff days before a show to help.
『kasa852』 Thank you
bruhh this isn't A Pop punk normal tutorial video it's more like watching a How to LO-FI video..
your voice makes it more aesthetic than the Tutorial itself lmao
The fact ik we’re the one piece parts are from. Alibasta and skypiea
This is inspiring af and also affirming being another asian kid hahaha
I wanna sound like Patrick stump
Patrick is love, Patrick is life
I always find myself trying to emulate the singer lmao. So like when I’m listening to blink, I always sing Toms parts in a more “nasal” tone and marks in a more “monotone” type tone lol
exactly lol
1:00 Ricky Martin looks good!
😂
i cant sing along with punk voices cuz i have a deep voice ;D i can only sing along with i miss you by blink182
Omg Beck!!!!!
Hey bro you said try singing in a lower key but what you were meaning was lower octave. Just trying to clarify for you bro
How😭
i like that for ricky martin theres 2 micael jacksons LMAO
could care less i spelled them wrong I'm zooted
😂
1:57 😌🎧🎶🎶
Can u plz explain how to scream?
You do a hhhhkkhhkg sound with your throat and then you compress it with your stomach. Thats it. Dont push it hard in the throat cause that will cause you a 5 sec of brutal headache.
@@marci6412 :')
Lol same I would listen to linkin park all the time then I got more in to more emo bands like chiodos and it just got deeper
What's the first song
Sky - Seasons for Change
:)
The female counterpart is the indie girl voice
Why was there a pic of Michael Jackson for Ricky Martin? 😂😂😂😂
Damn straight hahaha
what was that animal
I sounded like MGK
Your voice just made a pregnant lady have a pregnant baby and inspired an 80 year old to also have a pregnant baby...
You win 😂😂😂 what a comment
Okay come on you don’t have to flex on us like that
