I remember beating this game at an arcade in the early 2000s with my little brother; we were kicking ass so much in the game that a crowd had formed around us Good Times 😁
I'm still sad the arcade place that i used to go to with my dad when i was younger closed down around 2013. They had both HoTD1 and 2 and Virtua Cop 2 aswell, they had also Mortal Kombat 1, 2 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. It wasn't exactly the most popular place so only hardcore peeps that really loved going into arcades were there. Every time we went there we no lifed those games but some shit happened IRL that prevented me from going there back in 2009. Wonder where those machines went though
@@ACertifiedBruhMoment sadly arcades are dying breed, home consoles are the leading cause. Hardcoregaming is also on the decline because everyone is a Casual Gamer playing these apps on their phones and tablets not to mention games becoming easier to appeal to more people 🤔

Ik I'm late but we didn't have WiFi till 2016. My dad had a small job so yeah.. I used to go to my cousin's 4 days a week and just play HOTD 1, 2 and Virtua cop. This was around 2013-2015 . We competed with one another to Speedrun HOTD 2. He always had better aim than me. Finally in 2015 I beat the game. Sadly my cousin's pc died in 2016. Then I got invested in mobile games and totally forgot how to use a pc. During lockdown my dad bought a laptop in which I downloaded these old games to refresh the memories. Time flies by man! Going to miss every second of my childhood.

I didn't beat this when I was an 8 years old kid, but when I grew up and became an adult, I tried to beat this game and I beat it, it's just like I trained in the hyperbolic time chamber and then time travel just to beat this game🤣

Emperor was way too easy for me. I beat him on the PC version (Windows 2000) with a mouse controller and rapid-fire clicking on the red core.

There was a recent remake of House of the Dead 1, it’s on sale sometimes, but damn is it slightly bloodier than the original
I know, saw the footage of it when it was switch only. Kinda meh tbh, tried the PC Port was loading fine until i reached the menu and then crashed (happened like 10 times) and i'm not the only one in this boat a lot of people have issues with it. If they'll adress the issues in a patch i'll give it another try if not then i'll stick with the original arcade release via the model2 emulator or the PC Port based on the saturn release (i've already covered that in a video from 4-5 years ago). I plan to redo the first game aswell and maybe do 3, 4 and Overkill later on

I believe you can easily score over 200k in arcade version if you use the bug/glitches.
I've seen that, but I prefer going glitchless since it's more fun that way

normally only the dreamcast and Wii ports have access to the blood options. The PC port never had that but you can still swap them by renaming their respective files

@@ACertifiedBruhMoment No. It adds up to your total score. The only way you can lose points is by shooting civilians by mistake (which will also cost you a life point).
