- A throwback to last year when I did a quick trip up to the Lake District and visited amazing venues of Woodwell and Kentmere where I managed to tick a range of classic hard boulders in the area.

Aiden Roberts said shadow play is borderline impossible. Whether John Gaskins actually climbed that thing is a question in itself LOL
I see Bosi I hit like, watch, and then head to the gym/rock full of inspiration. Aidan mentioned on his pod recently that shadowplay was way harder than Burden, so perhaps you should head to Finland with him and Shawn, send it, and then work Shadowplay?

Might be the first person since John to feel the holds and say anything other than "this is unclimbable". Now to make a pilgrimage to UKB to see the carnage...
I mean, I'd be willing to bet Gaskins also said it was unclimbable. He just then also claimed to have climbed it without being able to pull on lol

still got some other boulders to check out first but it was epic to feel those holds!
Would love to see you have a proper session on Shadowplay, irrespective of how much actual progress you make. By the way, do you think any of the holds you fondled in this video are at risk of breaking?

Will always so inspiring to watch, even on a climb like Anesthesia, that thing looks terrible but somehow when he is on it, it almost looks like a good.. ....no never mind still looks awful.

I was wondering what's your opinion on Gaskin's ascent of Shadowplay? Do you think it happened? Only asking because in the Lattice documentary on Aidan Roberts it seems like Dan Varian is hinting he doesn't believe it occurred so it would be interesting to see what another top level climber believes.
So Ive never met/seen Gaskin's climb so it would be hard to comment on that but that line is possible for sure! Wouold be a 9A boulder im pretty confitend. Also worth noting the rock/holds are very flaky and so many could have easily broke or changed since he claimed it.

It's pretty well accepted these days that Gaskins didn't do any of his hard ascents. Can't remember beta or sequences when asked, can't pull on and hang the holds days after supposed sends, etc. Just no way he actually did them with no proof whatsoever
@@WilliamBosi Aidan seems to think it is well beyond 9A. Is your impression that it is probably not beyond 9A?
@@kockarthur7976 It hard to say as 9A is the top at the moment so it would be a big claim to say its harder but the holds are there so hopefully well find out at soon point
Class Will. Did little women feel hard for the grade? How you feeling on UK sport at the moment, there is 'violent new breed' out there ;) but also the hard stuff at Malham!
Yes I thought it was 8B+ but then found anaesthesia desperate and it’s meant to be soft so got confused! VNB I have tried but without the glued on hold that was knocked off I think it’s bit too next level.

Amazing video ! I also wanted to know how tall you are. Since i've known about you, you're inspiring me a lot because of how strong you are despite being tall too, or at least i think you are, but i don't even know your height. I'm 1m90 myself and having a super strong tall climber to look up to is very motivating, so thank you !

Rhyolite, it's very similar to limestone. Polished but very good edges and incut !
