Which of the 7 habits makes sense for you to start working on making a part of your everyday life first?

    • @paulbarrett635
      @paulbarrett635 4 года назад +5

      Julia Kristina Counselling ,
      The habits that make sense are;
Watching self help videos like yours.
Doing something to my project house and garden everyday.
Working on my hobby and business ideas every day.
      THANK YOU ! ❤

I really needed to hear this today. I have been learning to drive for 2 and half years, my instructor says i am such a good Driver and totally capable of passing my test, yet i fail due to anxiety without even moving a few feet from having a Stationary car. I need to learn deep breathing to intervene on a Physical level like you are saying. Thank you so much Julia. My life is getting so much better because i watch your Videos every week and set myself small achievable targets xx

GRATITUDE is powerful!! It keeps my brain from spiraling into negativity/fear. It's so easy to focus on what we lack/fear but once I turn my thoughts to what is good true noble right admirable then my emotions / feelings follow! This is such good advice & also comes from a very good book of God's Word to us in the Bible (Philippians 4:8) Thanks Julia. I really enjoy listening to you. You are very good at communicating to others in a way that registers. Take care 🙂

I hate cleaning my house but want a clean house so i started doing 30 minutes of cleaning everyday immediately when i get home from work. Some days the house is clean so i organize a small area. I love your reminder of what we are grateful for today ! ❤

I have so much of the things that I used to only dream of!
Focusing on what I have is awe inspiring !
It's incredible how much I have of what I wanted!

Hi Julia, life does have a funny way of taking over our brain and we inadvertently develop habits that may not be in our best physical or mental interest right? So THANK YOU for the beautiful reminders... literally got goose bumps when I heard “do something you’re passionate about”... it happens to be music for me and I can’t tell you how I’ve been lost without it, not just having something playing in the back but truly focused listening where I get in that “flow”... and that hasn’t happened for a long time without me realizing it so again, thank you! DETECTING PATTERNS is KEY for those of us in transition from past harming patterns. WE
need to key into the specific phrases that continue to give us an un-easy gut
reaction. TIP: 1. Make an inventory of these statements. 2. Make it mandatory
to combat this with WORDS TO YOURSELF that are accurate and kind. 3. Create and
recite an affirmation each morning, specific to you, detailing you deserve
happiness. BEST PRACTICES and WISHES to us ALL!

Always feel my day gets a little better when I see you post a new video. There are so many things to be aware of and take care of to be healthy mentally and physically and these videos remind me no matter how much I work out or well I eat it won't help my mind if I don't work on it as well.

    Hi Julia,
I do something of 1, 3,4, 5 and 6, though not necessarily every day. I am very hard on myself and not very good at counting my blessings, as in 2. As for Thinking on purpose, I have also tried mindful meditation but really struggled with maintaining focus (I know that's normal and it takes practice), and this is manifest in trying to be thinking on purpose - there is so much of a mealstrom of thoughts - negative, exaggerated, fantastical, tangential (where did that come from?!), that I can't stay focussed for more than a few seconds. I will look at shift society.

I am living life on purpose but still check out & find myself disconnected so I come back into the present without judgement, accepting the wandering & make another attempt at consciousness.

Got a story and a question.
I was 9 years old playing video games, when all of a sudden I hear a huge thump in the kitchen.
I look in there to see my mom laying on the floor with blood flowing out of her forehead.
I was scared about how I was going to explain to my family why I couldn't save her that I buried myself in binge eating playing video games.
I remember when they was about ready to shut the casket I ran up to it and screamed out that I should be the one in the casket for not saving her.
After her death I also buried my dad, grandad, brother and uncle before I turned 13.
After they died I didn't want to lose anymore people in my life, so I became a people pleaser.
I'm 40 now and I relive every one of their deaths in my dreams every night.
I've tried to be grateful for what I have now and when I look at my car, house, and stuff I have.
    I see only death.
What can I do to change

That's a huge amount of loss to deal with and no wonder you feel as though you cannot feel grateful and see only death. It's a massive trauma and I am so sorry for your loss. Working with an energy therapist, grief counsellor (EFT is one that I use myself to resolve my emotions) will break the cycle and ease your pain. I recommend working with someone for this as it is a lot to manage on your own. Know that there is peace on the other side. Blessings xx

@GravityLee I love this approach - it is a great way to not get swamped by the trauma. Talking to yourself is considered the first sign of madness, when we talk to ourselves all the time, just not out loud. Speaking with compassion as the observer is the first sign of sanity! 😊🙏
      Thank you x

LoL Julia, it was funny how you pronounced a(n immigrant) Hungarian name... "Csíkszentmihályi Mihály" :)
First I thought it was Chinese, seriously. Only when you mentioned FLOW it dawned on me ;) one of my favourite positive psychologists.
If I may offer something (creative?), this might help next time:
    Cheek - scent - me - hi - e
    Me - hi
(just pronounce each part like an English word)
    Hugs from Budapest
