In fact, the Hive Ships are much larger, they should start from 50 kilometers. Judge for yourself, these ships literally eat up the entire biosphere of the planet, with the atmosphere and oceans. All this must be placed somewhere, and the size of Gloriana, not to mention 6 kilometers, is clearly not enough.

That was brought up in some old lore where the imperial xenobiologists were struggling to explain where all the mass went, as the hive fleet couldn't have transported more than a tiny fraction of the amount taken. I wonder how strong the Unbroken C'Tan are compared to the Chaos gods. We know they fought a unbroken and very powerful Khaine and other peak Eldar gods.
Even a Amped Slaanesh with Khorne's help couldn't completely kill a weakened version of Khaine who was fighting off Slaanesh. Just broke him.
Imagine what Khaine was like in the War of Heaven days and imagine if Gork and Mork were alive back then as well during the days of the Krorks. That must have been a crazy battlefield of shattered dimensions between the immaterial and the Warp and maybe a few others loke whatever force has infested the Ghoul stars. And Gork and Mork empowered by the Orks in the current age is already enough to make the Chaos gods worried if they ever decide to turn their full attention on them.

The chaos gods can be scaled to outerversal in strength if not boundless to neigh omnipotence, the eldar gods would also scale somewhat below them (including khaine as the chaos gods never really use their full strength like ever even against each other) so the ctan who in their metal bodies can fight eldar gods should also scale around those levels
But a safer scaling would be multi galatic to multiversal since the ctan can somewhat stop the warp with the creation of the necrons pylons

from what i know of the lore, this is the order i'd put them in:
the old gods: not actual gods but a hyper-advanced civilisation, as a faction they were orders of magnitude more powerful than the existing factions in current 40k. It's fair to say as a full civilisation they would have been able wipe out peak humanity without breaking a sweat, emps included, but are at the bottom of this list on an individual level (but would still be relatively godlike to most beings in current 40k).
Gork/Mork: as far as i know it's questionable as to whether they actually.... "exist"? in the current lore of the 40k universe? they certainly don't seem to display any real power in the physical plane of the setting that can't be explained by other means.
Emperor of mankind: Emps as he has existed is relatively weak on this power scale, even pre-horus heresy, The main difference between him and most entities on this list is that he is able to bring to bear his full power on the physical plane of the setting, while the chaos gods and Aeldari gods can only ever exert a fraction of their power over the physical realm (outside places like demon worlds, but even on the vast majority of those they are limited). while obviously still a godlike entity in his own right, a lot of the things you might attribute to him directly in current 40k lore (besides the stuff that's obviously him, like the astronomican) are either more the result of the combined gestalt of human consciousness within the warp (not on the same level as the orks, but similar) or possibly him directing the flow of that (for stuff like living saints). It is worth noting that the Emperor is *not* a warp god, he does not draw directly draw power from combined gestalt intent, and that it's pretty widely believed that if the Emperor ascended to be a full on warp entity he'd be at the top of this list being able to channel the full power of the human gestalt.
C'tan: a full C'tan is definitely in full on god power territory, AND it can bring its full power to bear on the physical plane. Earlier lore would have us believe that Emps was able to beat a whole one due to the imprisoning of the void dragon on mars by him, but now we know that was likely just a large shard of it, and only a fraction of the full ctan's former power.
Aeldari gods: The Aeldari gods are sorta your measuring stick for a warp god. I'd prolly be judging Gork/Mork on this level too if they, yknow, actually did anything in the lore. Able to put up a decent fight but ultimately lose against the chaos gods.
The Chaos gods: due to the nature of their existence the chaos gods are almost literally timeless and are fed and empowered by the existence of nearly every being with a soul within the 40k universe. there is no being that has existed in the 40k universe that could defeat them on a playing field that they can bring their full power to bear on, such as a deep eye of terror demon world under their full control.
(the tyranid hive mind is hard to judge, it's definitely above emps and definitely below the chaos gods but beyond that i couldn't say)

@@nickq8093 it's not just the 40k universe that fuels them it's infinite universes and timelines
      They completely transcend reality
      Being outerversal at bare minimum

    • @luka188
      @luka188 Год назад

The chaos Gods in the lore are basically completely immeasurable. None of the other beings in the warhammer cosmology even come close. They transcend basically all dimensionality, exist not only beyond time altogether but also beyond any quantifiable scale or scope.
Imagine 1 universe, from the beginning to the end, each different instant within this universe leads to their own timeline, then from the first beginnings of that universe to the end of it all the different timelines which exist within that span. Each of those timelines is basically a universe of it's own, despite it all stemming from the same universe. This by itself would create a nigh infinite amount of universes.
Then there exist an infinite amount of universes, each with their own nigh infinite timelines. Together these form a greater whole, like a multiverse. A single being which exists outside of all this infinity would be beyond time and space as we see it. Rather than having different versions of itself in all the infinite timelines and universes, there exist just one being on a scope beyond each individual timeline. This being would be multiversal, and it's power would easily be such that it can create and destroy universes and even infinite timelines with it's thoughts.
However, that multiversal being is simply part of a larger scale, the multiverse with the infinite universes and timelines therein forms a structure of its own, and these multiversal structures there too exist an infinite amount of throughout the cosmos. The multiversal beings which exist in the dimension above these multiverses, they too exist within a scale, part of a structure/dimension, namely this would be considered a 6th dimensional being, existing within a 6th dimensional space, which is infinitely greater than the 5th dimensional multiversal space from before.
Each dimension above is infinitely greater than the one preceding it. There are basically uncountably infinite of such dimensions, each one infinitely larger/higher than the previous. Beyond all that infinity upon infinity, there exist the outerversal, something which is qualitatively beyond any dimensionality whatsoever.
The chaos Gods, exist on that scale. Beyond any and all dimensionality. The warp itself actually encompasses all of this dimensionality preceding it, being outerversal in itself, and still extends beyond.
While the chaos Gods actually exist even beyond the warp itself, basically unquantifiable in any way and practically immeasurable. They do not depend on any power from any beings, but rather, all beings on lower dimensions who are infected by them simply become a part of their being, they are effectively assimilated within it, as are the many infinities which exist through the warp. The chaos Gods just pervade through all this space in all directions as they fight against each other perpetually, all other beings are simply caught in the crossfire between these entities, and the so called servants they have are nothing more than beings infected by an infinitesimal part of the influence from the chaos gods, driven to act based on the influence pervading their entire soul and existence.
The power of the chaos gods is completely transcendental, existing everywhere at all times and beyond time, subsuming all things.
The only reason not all things are yet taken over completely by them is because the 4 chaos gods vie against each other perpetually, thus not one can ever take the upper hand and assimilate all existence, as they are equivalent in power by the very nature of their being. If every there is anything which annoys them so that they will bring their full attention to it, whatever it is, would be destroyed in an instant. However, they really aren't bothered by much, and aren't concerned by small things such as the imperium of man in the 40k universe, or the orks, or aeldari or any other beings we see in the lore, as they are completely infinitesimal compared to the chaos gods, even in their most powerful manifestations.
Time also is of no consequence to them, as they exist outside of any time scale, and such it doesn't matter if it takes millennia or even trillions of years, or even an infinity of eons for a universe to be subsumed in the warp, as from their perspective any quantity of time is literally nothing at all. They also are in no rush any way, since this too is inconsequential to them.
