      Looks like we could do it: amzn.to/49YCQkN. Just convert two AA batteries to 4V USB :-)

    I would buy one but not for food. I do a lot of prop making and theater set building. This would be a perfect addition.

      I've done a bunch of fun RYOBI projects. I don't patent them and I make a movie of how I did it. RYOBI has eventually come out with about half of them... of course they never say where their inspiration for new projects come from :-(

    Have you got the Ryobi Bug Zapper yet? I would love to add a kill counter to it, perhaps something that detects a current spike.

    I've been wondering about making either a powered wheel chair or mobility scooter using the batteries from my Ryobi power tools. Do you have any ideas along that line?

    • @SerendipitySue
      @SerendipitySue  7 месяцев назад +1

      My mom has a mobility scooter with a LION battery pack. I thought the same thing. Not sure what voltage they use. We would have to check.

      @@SerendipitySue One concept I have is a wheelchair with two independant drive trains, one for each of the rear wheels. This would allow it skid steering by just cutting power and breaking one wheel while the other continues to be powered. Was thinking this might be possible using motors from two of the Ryobi chainsaws.Wondering if this would be viable now that they have the larger 8-12 amp batteries.

      @@SerendipitySue I've looked into a couple mobility scooters and found some run on 36 or 48 volts so doing one based on the 40 volt batteries should be feasible.

    6 x 1.5V = 9V, no wonder the 4V battery underpowered that one knife. Would there be a way to stack two of the 4V batteries in series, to get closer to the 9V that knife is expecting?

    • @SerendipitySue
      @SerendipitySue  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes it could use 2 USB batteries in series. I was just making a proof of concept hoping RYOBI would make one with their digital motors that are matched to 4V.
