I have always been fascinated by Queen Victoria and her story so I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to witness this exhibition. Thank you very much for sharing this with us XX
Anyone enjoy " VICTORIA" played by "Jenna Coleman" I was addicted to it .!!
Omg yes!!!! I loved it ce ce rae.
I just ordered the 3 seasons. She was perfect, as Victoria -who was, to me.... the most amazing Queen of England.
Jenna Coleman is a wonderful, understated actor with the most expressive face. Her eyes seem to look into your soul. I also liked her in 'Dr Who'.
Absolutely! Have watched it many times!
@@joycebrannen1943Queen Victoria and her life's story is extraordinary but for me Queen Elizabeth the 2ed has been the Greatest Queen of England 🇬🇧 in all of history ❤ May she RIP 🙏 🕊
What a beautiful presentation of the museum honoring one of history's most fascinating queens! Because she was so commanding, Victoria seemed taller to me when I studied European history in high school. And though a part of my ancestry were Irish refugees from Black 47 and my father held grudges against the British because of this, I still like to watch stories of a woman who had so much power, but was very human. And I do like the photograph of her smiling, years after she lost Albert. So sad she lost the love of her life when they were both in their 40's. As a widow, I sympathize. Anyhow, the video was well photographed and well narrated. Thanks!
I can't thank you enough for taking me on this tour and explaining everything. I have not had the opportunity to go in person but you made me feel like I did. what an amazing woman and family. The love that Queen Victoria and Prince Albert had is what I would say that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have had as well.
You are so welcome!
Queen Victoria's Statue is beautiful
One of her daughters actually designed it .🙂
much than her as most of her statues
Seeing her as a woman and not as the image we all hold of the matronly older Queen almost moved me to tears. A wonderfully put together look at this exhibition.
Only just found this, absolutely loved it. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
10:32 Princess Beatrice looks so much like Queen Victoria, it's hard to believe there are six generations between them. The genetics are very strong
Trueee🔥
Amazing
I can see that 😊
Monumental, awe inspiring for admirers of the Victorian age and the Lady whose spirit continues to influence the present day.
Thank you !
Imagine how the jewels would dance and sparkle in candle and firelight!
Very good production, I learned a great deal about Queen Victoria.
Glad you enjoyed it
excellent insight to another world and culture!
Thanks for showing this display. It’s something that I never thought I would get to see. You did a beautiful job!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for that very respectful documentary. Victoria and Albert were a love match & did set the ideal
Standard for marriage, home & family. For many of us it still stands today. England was blessed to have them!
Albert may have been a creative genius. To this day I am blessed by their example.
Well said!
And now we have a new widow in Windsor. It's sad watching an era end,
Queen Victoria is the reason we put up Christmas trees. Queen Victoria is the reason we celebrate Christmas the way we do.
There's a record of Queen Charlotte, the wife of George III, having a tree decorated at Windsor Castle.
Queen Charlotte died in 1817.
Prince Albert
Or why women wear white on their wedding day
Prince Albert actually.
Oh my gosh! I loved this! Thank-you so much for the background information, how she was at certain points in her life. I know she was very tiny in her youth and mostly during her marriage but, later in her life I wouldn’t have considered her “tiny”...... short....yes but, not tiny. I loved the love story between her and her beloved Albert. Very few marriages, especially in royalty, are so happy as theirs. 22 years of being in love with your best friend and being loved by your best friend are so rare. I was married at the same age Victoria was widowed 2 years younger than her. We were each other’s best friend and soulmate. We were married 20 years.....the best years of my life. I can truly empathize with Victoria..... the overwhelming grief and unimaginable sense of loss.
I had no idea that Queen Victoria and my mother shared a birthday. I've watched so many documentaries about Queen Victoria and never made the connection until I saw that date at the beginning. My youngest daughter's middle name is Victoria because of my love and fascination with the queen.
I very much enjoyed this video.. again.✌️♥️
Glad you enjoyed it
A beautifully presented and voiced presentation of the 2019 exhibition. Michael Canadas' voice is exactly right: it is clear, modulated and measured, something that the Queen herself would have liked!
What a wonderful tribute and lesson learned for me. I love British Royalty, especially Queen Victoria!
We enjoyed every minute of that beautifully produced documentary... Excellent work that made us understand your love & deep respect for the subject matter... 👍
Thank you very much!
Thank you for sharing this. I enjoyed every minute. Bless you.
You are so welcome
A masterpiece from beginning to end! Melodious information to the point and eloquent. So many items I have never seen before. Thank you for this uniquely exquisite love presentation.
Wow, thank you!
Her childhood was one i would not wish for!!
I loved this short film, so tastefully and respectfully done... The narrator's voice I found so pleasing to the ear and the choice of the accompanying music excellent... I hope you do more!!!
Thank you very much!
I was thrilled to come across this video, as I had wanted so much to see this exhibit, but couldn't. Thank you so much for uploading it for us! It was wonderfully interesting and very professionally done.
Our pleasure!
Queen Victoria was also known for her love of the Pomeranian dog breed and even owned 35 Pomeranians in her lifetime and even at the time of her death in 1901 she asked for her favorite Pom “Turi” to keep vigil at her side on her death bed.
This was absolutely spectacular. Narrated wonderfully and so delightfully engaging. Thank you..!! 🥰
Wow, thank you!
She was so beautiful!! I just recently started learning more about the history of the British royals (I hope that's the right terminology, I'm American and like I said, only recently started learning more about them). I never knew how pretty she was or that her and her husband were so in love with each other! It's such an amazing and beautiful story!
I’m an American who is extremely fascinated by the history of Britain and the British Monarchy. For the Monarchy the best place to start is the Norman conquest of 1066 by William the Bastard turned William the Conqueror. There were other Kings before him, but those were mostly ruling over portions of the land. Also, can’t forget Queen Boudicca of the Celtic Iceni who fought the Romans to her death in 60-61 AD.
Then look up the Plantagenets with Henry the second getting his friend the Archbishop of Canterbury murdered do to rash words he spoke out in front of his knights.
And then the war of the Roses which lead to the most famous Tudor, Henry VIII that had 6 wives and created the Church of England. Oh and then there was the warming bedpan baby propaganda that lead to a whole lot of other changes.
Queens having other Queens murdered, Kings killing other Kings. All the King named George and the awful and sad events that lead up to the birth of Queen Victoria. I’ve left a lot of details out, but it’s truly so very fascinating!
Edit to add that if that sort of stuff interests you, then you’d probably also find the Tsars of Russian history fascinating too.
This was a beautiful take through my countries victorian history. There are lots of awful things that happened during that era, but I see this as a personal take on one woman's history. It was a pleasure to watch. 👍
I enjoyed this very much. Thank you. ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
The statue of Queen Victoria seen at the beginning of this video , was sculpted by one of Victoria and Albert's daughters.
It was Louise that sculpted it. One of the first woman to have a public statue.
Rebecca Foster quite good
I very much hope no one tries to tear it down, or deface it! Is it on private property, so it can't be accessed?
Yep!

The statue stands in the grounds of Kensington Palace.
I was just there! It’s so glorious there
is it still there?

Thank you! I was unable to go to this exhibition so this was a real treat. Beautifully presented and informative. Interestingly, in the Canadian Parliament building in Ottawa there is a painting of Queen Victoria with a withered hand. This seems to have been airbrushed out of history.
Our pleasure!

Thank you SO much for this lovely tour. Something I will never have the opportunity to see in person. Also, I wish to thank whom ever was responsible for choosing the final picture of Victoria for this video. Thank you.Thank you.It was incredible. It was put together so perfectly. We lost our trip to London because of Covid. Is there a tour like this to see exhibits on Queen Alexandria and Prince Eddie?
Our pleasure!
Nice!
Thanks!
I thought that Dash was a gift from her uncle. And she was 5'1 at her prime. She shrunk with age.
Actually, it was a present from John Conroy to her mother, but the dog liked Victoria better.
wow I wish I could see this exhibit is it still up? do you think it would come to the states?
