  • VE Commercial Vehicles has introduced 2 new premium intercity buses built on its long 12.4 meter and 13.5 meter chassis. It is available in two variants intercity coach and sleeper bus. This Eicher bus is available in 43 and 47 seater coach. Whereas the sleeper version offers 30 and 36 berths.

    Why don't you people design the rear engine for long distance. Always the Indian buses are front engine any particular reason ?

      The main reason for front engine is the direct airflow for keeping engine cool in summers. I have seen rear engine volvo, mercs catching fire 🔥 even with airvents flowing air underneath.

      The rear engine bus is not suitable for indian roads as the maintenance and design cost is 5x more. Very few transport companies can afford to buy new Volvo n Scania buses. Everyone else is buying government retired and accidental buses from auctions.

    Oh! Man rhey need to increase the Horsepower!! Better HP equates to better pwr to wght ratio, efficient cruising, less consumption of fuel, ability to maintain good speed etc....

    Suspension quite harder side. 27oct I travel on this bus (seter) almost 300km. Seat is good and comfortable. I travel with Shyamoli paribahan. But bus is good.

    eicher is not relible for ghats and load,resale value poor,customer support part avilablity and part reliblity and quality is so poor.i am eicher owner and i face these issue.

    When are the Intercity buses with Bio-Toilets coming in India? Rest all is fine. Such toilets will help people with Incontinence and aged people. That is a standard in the West.

      It may come when intercity private buses 🚍 have proper BusPort like state transport buses. As bus operator need proper infrastructure area to maintain their buses. Somebody should drag govt attention over it. In Gujarat most of major cities don’t allow Private Luxury buses in cities during daytime/working time. Luxury bus operator drop passenger outside of city or arrange nonAC mini bus to transfer passenger into city.

    Volvo is the best when it comes to Interstate buses rear powerful engine and suspension of Volvo is the best, missing Volvo buses in India not sure why they have merged with Eicher bored of Tata and AL and Eicher they can’t match Volvo quality

      This is bec high fuel prices and permit charges are very high most of operator hv sold Volvo or opting for Nagaland arunchal Assam registration
      Volvo is best among all bt operator converted in to sleeper coach and in name of comfort they destroyed joy of travelling in Volvo semi sleeper seating best and safest way of travelling in ac coach plus govt should provide some incentive bt there is no roadmap in future no multinational comp will come to India Scania bus operations exited india only volvo remains let's see
      Don't understand why you can't allow other comp buses such as themsa hino Hyundai youtong Nissan they are all operating in developing countries wts prob I don't understand no encouragement at all

    Appreciate for your kind information really I like this luxury bus.
    I think this is the first luxury bus of this in house which has come in the Indian market...
    Eicher and Volvo have done what no other Indian brand has been able to do till now..
    I was wondering why no company puts its own luxury bases in the market..

    Eicher is very low in pickup after 3years the will reduce its pickup will come half if company pay commission than ksrtc will buy like Marc Apolo buses

    might as well opt for double decker coach with lie flat seats . . . for e.g. Volvo B13 R & IRIZAR i8 . . . VDL of Amsterdam, Netherlands is a pioneer in building double decker luxury coach in 6X4 & 8X8 guise . . .

    Govt must look into private bus owners who exploit people giving them old buses rather than upgrading to newer ones like these.givt should enforce more rules.right now all those good buses have gone .Volvo Scania they've all gone.

    Who says that outside bus body builders dont make world class interiors Infact they even make it better than the company at good rates when compared to conpany.i am myself a bus operator and i get my bus body built from udaipur ,jodhpur and indore.they are the best

    Eicher problem is higher maintenance cost hence lower resale value. Also has service/parts availability issue. Parts quality is not as Volvo as used in brand. Those has low budget can plan

    The drawback of sleeper buses is lack of toilet on long intercity journeys. You get very short breaks that are 7-8 hours apart and if you need to use the loo in between, tough luck. Makes it very stressful, especially for women and children, even if the bus is good.

    Pros: super exterior & interior design, better mileage. Cons: overpriced than other competitions. Cost around 75 to 80L. For sleeper version.

      @@javagarratinam5233 rear engine is not suitable for indian environment. Volvo struggled in their early days with fires and overheating issues. Tata failed with their rear engine buses due to overheating and indian drivers lack of understanding of using alison automatic.

      @@javagarratinam5233 Exactly people should see buses used in Europe the quality of the coach building and safety standards which is 10 years ahead of what we have just started with Volvo and Eicher. Isuzu, Irizar, Scania, Renault, MAN. They are almost using its rear engine buses since 40 years they are already retiring their ICE engines to making way for electric and fuel cell buses.
