@itstrinityjae ... So, what were your final results after eating this way for a week? What were your goals? ... Or did I miss your answers on another video?
Hey this is Wess from season 11 episode 3 of the show. Loved your video. Like Octavia said, you gotta find a way to make that diet your own. For me personally it was all about lemon juice and Mrs Dash in EVERYTHING lol!
Very awesome! I've been in the hospital for various reasons 8 times in the past 3 years (a minimum of 10 days each stay). Since having WL surgery last year, I've lost 115 lbs. My diabetes is in remission, and my BP is now reading low rather than high. I have so much energy and I feel like I'm 25 again!! I would never deter anyone from having the surgery if they want to lose weight, but yes, you gotta stick with it, and make it your own. It's not a magic bullet. I'm stuck at 245 lbs (down from 360), but I'm losing inches so I'm good. You HAVE to find non-scale victories because you do stall as you lose. My biggest victory to date is getting into a size 18/20 jean!! Before surgery, I wore a 34/36. It's incredible. But back to the hospital stays...I ate so much Mrs. Dash when I was in there I can't even stomach looking at the stuff. I'll figure it out. I'm going to get Dr. Now's book just for the recipes and to hopefully jump start my WL. I want to be in Onederland by the end of the year.
@@Toytonia That's true. When I used to go to the gym our trainer emphasized losing inches over weight. The thing about that was that the low inches stayed with me long after I stopped going to the gym.

I also think the lack of seasoning and simplicity is to help reset your taste buds. People that eat junk often have altered flavour profiles that don't recognise natural food flavours as tasty. It's good to cut right back and reintroduce flavour into your diet without seasoning.
I'm a bigger guy and I've been doing this diet for about two to three months now with liberties taken here and there and can confirm the weight just bled off of me. It's made me lose weight pretty darn fast, abut 10 to 14lb a week along side cardio. So far I've lost a good 133lb and don't plan to stop anytime soon. This is something you will need to be dedicated to, so be sure to ease yourself into it develop the mindset of doing it every day. Also be sure to keep lots of proteins in the diet as well, you'll need it.

Depends on start weight and of course if a doctor wants the patient to lose weight asap, especially if for life and death situations. But yes that does seem like quite a lot for and average or just over weight person. But if very obese might not be. @@stephaniemamatree5973
But not too much protein if you're not doing a lot of weights because itnwill put weight on you. The lady I sit with, her kids did this tonhee and she about busting out of her pants. She needed the weight on at first but she has put on too much weight. I give her more veggies and a little bit of meat and peanut butter to balance it all out.
Dr. Now typically tells his patients no salt because they have a lot of swelling due to their health issues. Limiting salt works to bring that issue down. And, per Google, the baking powder just makes the eggs fluffier if you don't want to use milk or buttermilk.
Yeah I think thats it along with most of them at that size having some degree of heart disease and kidneys under severe strain. If your following it to lose vanity pounds then you probably don't need to worry about salt.
If you want to limit salt, you can use lime juice, which makes things taste a bit salty. But you’re right, for vanity weight loss, you probably don’t need to worry too much about salt.

I've made cucumber salad before and it's A LOT better if you let it sit in the fridge for a few hours. The cucumbers release their water so the sauce thins out. It's really refreshing in the summer, even though I've never made it the "healthy" way, hahaha. Breakfast and dinner looked good! (Mine would be scrambled, too HAHAHA) Love you, Trinity!
She has to fkng use SALT, no bland food is gon taste good omfg, salt is to taste, doesn't have calories and you don't need much, you can use fkng salt, unless youse putting a shitLoad you should be fine, ppl don't have common sense
I make that cucumber salad all the time. It needs a little sweet vidalia onion instead of shallot ( a kind of onion that is better in cooked things) and it’s much better with fresh mint. Squeeze the cucumber pieces to let out a little of the water, and grate a little lemon zest in . Let it rest in the fridge to let the dill and mint flavour the yogurt, before eating. A LITTLE salt would be a huge improvement!
Watching while eating a kimchi omelette with tomato and grilled chicken. No oil or butter, but ill season it until my amcestors tell me to stop. I eat very similar to this diet and its helpful in weight loss. With recipes like this, as Octavia (a cast member) who commented on here, you have to make these recipes your own. These are simple to help people who never prepped meals at home to do so. No need for 50 ingredients and complicated steps for someone who's never actually cooked for themselves. And he made this more for people at the end of the line. What I do suggest all people do is get a food scale and weight your ingredients out. In the States we have such skewed portion sizing and thats a major step to not overconsuming .
I started his diet plan on 12/20/22 and I fell off in mid April 2023. I lost 69lbs and I modified the diet on a lot of days. His plan of 1000 calories WORKS💯 Sometimes guys I found myself STRUGGLING to eat the whole 1000 calories! But MAKE SURE you get HIS book, their are soo many copycats it’s crazy. His book is the one she has in this video. I didn’t follow his recipes, I just created my usual meals but modified the. To fit into my calorie deficit. Example, I love fresh green beans with smoked turkey and potatoes in them. I love to eat fried pork chops as well. So I excluded the potatoes and instead of battering and deep frying my pork chops, I pan seared them in olive oil and onions and cooked on medium heat til done. Boom about 450 calories! Good luck guys😘
To me no it seems more like eating the things you love but modifying them to be healthier. Keep into mind that these people eat 3 to 4 times the daily recommended calories and they have to get prepared to not be physically able to eat that much. For the average person trying to simply be healthy, her plan seems great to me and I definitely will try this this in my everyday life.
@@bryanr8398I think it makes sense in the context of the show because they are dangerously overweight and also prepping for a surgery where they cannot eat very much afterwards for a long time. I’m not sure how healthy it is to follow it if you’re not in that situation, you can eat in a calorie deficit that is not that extreme and still lose weight
Cook the omlette on a lower heat so it doesnt brown before the middle sets. also you can use a circle of greaseproof paper if your omlettes tend to stick to the pan, that way you can slide the omlette onto a plate, hold the pan over it and flip omlette back into pan.
You can steam your spinach first to heat & squeeze the moisture out before adding to your omlete. Put the cheese on the eggs after they're cooked. Dulce is a seaweed product you can use in place of salt or Ms.Dash 😊 You did awesome with those directions!
The cucumber salad basically sounds like tatziki but diced cucumber instead of grated. A little salt, a little minced garlic and lime or lemon juice and it would have been perfect.
The cucumber salad does need a little cilantro seasoning, which still eliminates the salt, but gives flavor. There's lime in it so that is your salt substitute.
I think for that yogurt salad thing, its more of a make the day ahead so the herbs have time to release some flavor. When you do your week you could try that and revisit to see if its better. 😊
For that cucumber concoction I definitely would’ve added lemon juice, more fresh herbs and maybe even some tomato. I could just imagine what that tasted like 😂
Girl me and my husband love to binge watch with all kinds of snacks!! We find that every time we watch the show with all that food it makes us extremely hungry!🤣🤣😂
@@taraclark3656 STOP🤣🤣🤣 OMGooodness I found my people 🤣🤣🤣🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 and the ENTIRE time I’m get-ting dooowwnn I’m fussing about how they can eat so much in 1 sitting as I pause to run my leftovers from dinner up and grab an ice cream for dessert 🤣🤣🤣 my husband looked at me and said “you’ve had dinner, dessert, and a snack all during the show and you’re talking about them”🤣🤣🤣
Yes, it's has to sit so the "flavor" can develop. I also added a dash/sprinkle of ranch seasoning powder... (like less than a 1/4 teaspoon, don't judge me...)😜
The baking powder in the eggs makes them fluff up. I think it's more for visual effects than taste. It makes the omelet look twice as big. It would have fluffed up if you had put the cheese on as it was almost cooked before you turned it over. And don't worry, my omelets sometimes end up scrambled, too. Great video!
I love Dr. Now! I however don't eat when watching it, it gets me motivated to realllllly question if I'm hungry or not. Its like watching Hoarders, I clean like crazy while "semi-watching" it.😂
My mum and I watch this show together whilst eating too 😂 we are both roughly 20lbs overweight so it makes us feel a tiny bit better about ourselves but at the same time guilty that we're eating snacks that Dr Now wouldnt approve of 😂
Only if you are unwilling to act upon the information you clearly are aware of. Your change is well within your grasp. Don’t feel badly about yourselves. Love yourselves instead and create the healthy body you want by lifestyle change. Seriously.
I find it helps to cook it lower and slower and when it’s fully dry on the top part you can flip it. If it’s even sticky on the top sometimes you can flip it then
Good on you for trying this and being open to the experience. Morbid obesity is such a complicated problem to deal with. Most of his patients have suffered abuse of some sort and use food as a coping and soothing mechanism. Many have no idea what fresh vegetables are let alone how to cook them. I like that he often won't do the surgery until they get their mental health issues dealt with. With that said, I suspect his book could use a good redo by a talented down to earth cook like yourself!
that salad is similar to what they call a Misery salad - its actually really good. if they added some vinegar or lemon to it and garlic powder then let it sit overnight it would taste a lot better. esp once the onion/shallot marinades
*The point of the No Salt is because sodium is addictive and creates cravings. The 600lb people have to follow strictly to change their pallate and break the cycle of food addiction. Same for sugars....but yiu can substitute lemon or vinegar for salt, and fruit for sugars.* 💫
Salt (sodium) doesn't cause cravings. You may crave the flavor of salt on your food, though. Salt makes you retain fluid, which causes you to have swelling. Swelling can get so bad in your lower extremities that your skin will actually weep. That sometimes causes sores that are hard to clear up. With extended time swelling, your skin can become discolored. Sometimes you have to wear compression socks or hose to push the fluid up to get it out of your legs. Also, fluid can build up around your heart, making it hard to breathe & hard for your heart to pump. Also, with fluid retention, sometimes you will be put on diuretics to make you pee more to get the fluid out of your body. A 1/4 tsp of salt is all the sodium you are allowed per day when you have heart problems. Doctors will put you on salt free diets in the hospital when you have heart problems. At 600 lbs you have heart problems! I'm not 600 lbs, but when I started having heart failure, I gained 25 lbs of fluid in one day. I was put on IV diuretics & lost 25 lbs. That time, I had a catheter but have also had IV diuretics where I had to use the toilet. You might as well just sit there because by the time you get up, it's time to go again!
i can't wait to see you do a week of this diet. i think adding the seasonings from the omlet into the cucumber salad would have made it more tolerable. i wont tell. lol
baking soda is another type of sodium that can neutralize the ph of the stomach, to keep it from being upset with a changing diet, and also it helps with kidney stones which can happen with an introduction of food with oxalic acid ( greeny leafy veggies, sweet potatoes, etc) and although those veggies are healthy and exactly what their body needs, it can cause kidney stones to a body that isn't well equipped to handle that.
This is the very first video I've ever seen of yours. The crunching noises added during the exercises! I was doing some of them with you as you presented them. I could feel those crunching noises in my body.
The “cucumber salad” is a Persian dish called mast o khiar (ماست و خیار) it’s a really good side or snack but tastes better with a middle eastern-style yogurt and shallots rather than regular onion
I don't think it's he lack of oil or butter - what I found is a smaller pan for omelets makes it cook through better and makes flipping it a bit easier! (as someone who also had to cut these things out at one point in my life). Also the cucumber yogurt thing is actually a middle eastern food, but I def think you should try it the 'normal' way! You'd probably like it (essentially it replaces the greek yogurt with middle eastern style yogurt) it's really good! :p
The video popped up in my feed and I'm here for this. 600lb Life is one of my favorite shows to watch. Since they really don't show anyone actually cook from his book I was curious about it.

Absolutely very entertaining video... I'm glad to see someone show some meals from the show... The egg was more appealing scrambled and the scallops meal looked really good. Also the star of the video was your beautiful co-host he's adorable 🦋🦋🦋
I loved this 😂! You kept it interesting, entertaining and funny! Though he tells them what amount and how long they should be on their pre-diets, the dietician sets up the meal plans and tells each client what is and what isn't allowed to be added to the meals they're preparing/eating. It's a very, very boring diet that they usually don't stick with initially. His book is missing the flavor factor for certain. Unfortunately, salts, spicy foods, and a few others are purposely removed often it's because they can cause serious issues after surgery (if they are approved), prolonging the recovery time due to dietary setbacks. But, I agree flavor is seriously missing. You need both flavor, seasonings, and some fats to even keep the weight off and prevent them from experiencing anorexia (which many folks don't understand can happen even while being 4-5- or 6 hundred pounds).
Cucumber salad for me is morning prep for lunch: 1. Cucumber deserved and grated squeeze out excess water. 2. Mix Cucumber, greek yogurt, 2 clove garlic minced mix well. 3. Let sit in refrigerator until lunch 8n a bowl covered with plastic wrap. 4. At lunch take out drain off water from it and salt & pepper to taste.
It is a very good show actually! I used to watch it, too. I always wondered what they have to eat before surgery because that’s usually not clear in the show. Thank you so much for making this video. New sub ❤
New subbie! This is my faaaavorite show and yes... Dr. Now ain't playin games! You had me crackin up😆 may as well just eat the scallops and veggies all week 😋 the baking powder in the eggs did confuse me too
Baking powder in eggs, when beaten thoroughly and strained through a fine strainer make them super fluffy, so its in between a regular omelette and a soufflé
I did a diet like this years ago. It works real well if you're committed. I was trying to win a contest with cash prizes and I won. The money was the motivation not the weight loss 😂. After watching the full video, my diet had no oil or dairy. Lost 18 in a week eating 5 small meals a day every 2 to 3 hours
I don’t know how I came to find your channel, but I glad that I did because you are relatable and entertaining. I look forward to exploring more of your content. He blessed sis.
Trinity, this is absolutely insane. I watched you like 10 years ago when you were doing story times. Then I lost you. And here you are! Wtf! Lovely to see you again girl, you have grown sooo much (me too lol) have a good one!
Ive recently been binging this show with my teen daughter. Ive always wondered what his diet was like. This is the extreme. But it works, apparently. Love his show. He doesnt play any games!
I am not a dietician, nor do I claim to be a health expert - but this seems to be how to practically starve a person by giving them the bare minimum to not make them lack important nutrients, and make them lose weight quickly. I know that people on the show are at a DANGEROUSLY high weight, but I would think that going from people who have compulsive EDs to eat the bare minimum would be dangerous too. I feel like if any of his patients where to listen to this, their bodies would go into shock from going to a massive amount of calories to maybe 1500-2000 a day. I feel like even if they don't show it, that diet would make their bodies think that they are starving, which would then cause them to overeat more and make their disordered eating worse.
I’m getting weight lose surgery and they do this to shrink the liver so the surgery is less dangerous. I have to do something similar for 14 days before it.
@@ayannaomanexactly, this is not meant to be something you follow for the rest of your life. It's for people preparing for extreme weight loss surgery.
Not exactly true. I had weight loss surgery 2 years ago and I still have to follow a high protein low crabs diet, plenty of vegetables and sugar free drinks lots of water because many people don’t eat right and gain they weight back and end up getting a revision.

I laughed when she called the people on the show "overweight" she has "tact" for sure! A sweetheart.
Exactly a lot of people have a hard time seeing outside of themselves
who cares

I've made cucumber salad before and it's A LOT better if you let it sit in the fridge for a few hours. The cucumbers release their water so the sauce thins out. It's really refreshing in the summer, even though I've never made it the "healthy" way, hahaha. Breakfast and dinner looked good! (Mine would be scrambled, too HAHAHA) Love you, Trinity!
Ever tried a cucumber margarita yum
She has to fkng use SALT, no bland food is gon taste good omfg, salt is to taste, doesn't have calories and you don't need much, you can use fkng salt, unless youse putting a shitLoad you should be fine, ppl don't have common sense
It would prob be better with lemon juice too
And maybe some garlic
That makes sense. Personally, I'd probably avoid the mint and do what @HM-cq2rv suggested (Garlic, lemon juice & dill sounds like a good time to me)
I make that cucumber salad all the time.
Good luck guys😘
doesnt that sound like an eating disorder
To me no it seems more like eating the things you love but modifying them to be healthier. Keep into mind that these people eat 3 to 4 times the daily recommended calories and they have to get prepared to not be physically able to eat that much. For the average person trying to simply be healthy, her plan seems great to me and I definitely will try this this in my everyday life.
Oh wow! I’m glad you had success but eating 1000 cal for anyone is dangerous!
Does he have any substitute proteins for vegetarians in the diet book?
😂😂😂, the second recipe. No wonder they can’t follow the diet, it’s a fight of faith 😂. This was a good, honest review.
😂😂😂😂😂
You can steam your spinach first to heat & squeeze the moisture out before adding to your omlete. Put the cheese on the eggs after they're cooked. Dulce is a seaweed product you can use in place of salt or Ms.Dash 😊 You did awesome with those directions!
I usually put spinach in at the last minute so it doesn't get so soggy. Love fresh spinach.
The cucumber salad basically sounds like tatziki but diced cucumber instead of grated. A little salt, a little minced garlic and lime or lemon juice and it would have been perfect.
EXCELLENT IDEA. THIS COULD BE A WHOLE SERIES. VERY CREATIVE !!
I could just imagine what that tasted like 😂
Salt. It NEEDS salt
Is stevia aloud?
And garlic
I was thinking garlic and lemon juice
I think it needs vinegar but an type of acid would help.
I thought I was the only one who watched the show while eating dinner or dessert! 🤣🤣🤣 I LOVE Dr. Now, I love 1,000 sisters & friends 💜💜💜
One day I watched the show eating Popeyes 😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Girl me and my husband love to binge watch with all kinds of snacks!! We find that every time we watch the show with all that food it makes us extremely hungry!🤣🤣😂
@@taraclark3656 STOP🤣🤣🤣 OMGooodness I found my people 🤣🤣🤣🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 and the ENTIRE time I’m get-ting dooowwnn I’m fussing about how they can eat so much in 1 sitting as I pause to run my leftovers from dinner up and grab an ice cream for dessert 🤣🤣🤣 my husband looked at me and said “you’ve had dinner, dessert, and a snack all during the show and you’re talking about them”🤣🤣🤣
Let the cucumber yogurt sit overnight so the flavors have time to mingle. The dill will come through way better. Just a suggestion. Love this vid!!
Yes!
Yes, it's has to sit so the "flavor" can develop. I also added a dash/sprinkle of ranch seasoning powder... (like less than a 1/4 teaspoon, don't judge me...)😜
Judgement is not allowed in my camp! 🥰 @@ginadavis7817
I was not expecting that cuteness overload in the beginning of the vid! What a lil cutie you have 💘
I love Dr. Now! I however don't eat when watching it, it gets me motivated to realllllly question if I'm hungry or not. Its like watching Hoarders, I clean like crazy while "semi-watching" it.😂
My mum and I watch this show together whilst eating too 😂 we are both roughly 20lbs overweight so it makes us feel a tiny bit better about ourselves but at the same time guilty that we're eating snacks that Dr Now wouldnt approve of 😂
😅😂 I’m 20 lbs overweight too… the hardest to lose, dammit!
Only if you are unwilling to act upon the information you clearly are aware of. Your change is well within your grasp. Don’t feel badly about yourselves. Love yourselves instead and create the healthy body you want by lifestyle change. Seriously.

Stop using all types of added sugar
Girl!! I'm m glad I'm not the only one...everytime I mess up flipping an omelette it turns into scrambled eggs😂
I find it helps to cook it lower and slower and when it’s fully dry on the top part you can flip it. If it’s even sticky on the top sometimes you can flip it then
You flip it too early
Good on you for trying this and being open to the experience. Morbid obesity is such a complicated problem to deal with. Most of his patients have suffered abuse of some sort and use food as a coping and soothing mechanism. Many have no idea what fresh vegetables are let alone how to cook them. I like that he often won't do the surgery until they get their mental health issues dealt with.
With that said, I suspect his book could use a good redo by a talented down to earth cook like yourself!
First time viewer and I'm glad the YT algorithm brought me here. You are a delightful lady 😆❤
The cucumbers also needed fresh garlic and lemon juice. Then as others said, let it sit for at least an hour.
Baking powder is supposed to make the eggs fluffy and light.
😂"Baking Soda.. I got Baking Soda"....😂 this all I kept hearing! You did great with the recipes as always.💪🏾😉
that salad is similar to what they call a Misery salad - its actually really good. if they added some vinegar or lemon to it and garlic powder then let it sit overnight it would taste a lot better. esp once the onion/shallot marinades
This is seriously an excellent video, my dear . The good you are doing for your community of followers is immeasurable. Have a lovely day ! 👌✌️
*The point of the No Salt is because sodium is addictive and creates cravings. The 600lb people have to follow strictly to change their pallate and break the cycle of food addiction. Same for sugars....but yiu can substitute lemon or vinegar for salt, and fruit for sugars.* 💫
Plus sodium attracts fluid. Extra sodium draws extra fluid...water weight
Fruit is sugar. And where is the science that salt causes cravings?
Was literally watching this the other day, his mouth is so smart! 🤣🤣🤣 great content as always #jaeteam ❤

i can't wait to see you do a week of this diet. i think adding the seasonings from the omlet into the cucumber salad would have made it more tolerable. i wont tell. lol
I didn't know he had this out! I want one. I love watching the show! Gives me motivation to lose weight on my own and to keep thenl weight off.
baking soda is another type of sodium that can neutralize the ph of the stomach, to keep it from being upset with a changing diet, and also it helps with kidney stones which can happen with an introduction of food with oxalic acid ( greeny leafy veggies, sweet potatoes, etc) and although those veggies are healthy and exactly what their body needs, it can cause kidney stones to a body that isn't well equipped to handle that.
I’ve noticed while binge watching the show that Dr. Now could stand to lose a couple of pounds himself. Loved your video!

The baking powder basically aids in making the eggs look fluffier and making it look like there's more food.
YESSSS GIRL!! Can't wait to see your week in the life of Dr Now's Diet!!! 💕🙌🏼🫶🏻
The video popped up in my feed and I'm here for this. 600lb Life is one of my favorite shows to watch. Since they really don't show anyone actually cook from his book I was curious about it.
I loved this 🤣 the sound effects when you were doing the exercises almost took me out!
"One tablespoon of baking soda."
Proceeds to put one teaspoon of baking powder. 😂
I agree with her cause a table spoon sounds too much
Let the yogurt salad sit in the fridge and let flavors combine ( a squeeze of lemon might help)

🫶🏾 thank you
I loved this 😂!
HEYY I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS Can you make one about eating Haitian food for 24hrs 💗💗
Cucumber salad for me is morning prep for lunch:
New sub ❤

Dr. Now would be so proud
