Funny you posted this today because today is Frank Langella's birthday. He was Skeletor in Masters of the Universe live action film and he voiced The Consul in Destiny 2.
He also tried to arrest Eddie Furlong for a series of murders that Furlong committed while under the influence of video games, but because Furlong owned a gaming PC and a really good gaming chair, he was able to augment reality and maintain enough plot armor to get the girl he was creeping on the whole film.
Imagine: had a certain CEO not been unwilling to take the hit on a paycheck, D2 might not even be in this mess. WeightGate might have still been an issue the community resolved but had so many layoffs not happened things wouldn’t have been this bad. Sucks that the devs who do care are being screwed over due to higher up fuckups.
Can we just take a minute to appreciate Tom's Rotoscoping skills? Even most professional animation studios don't do it as good as Tom did in this episode.
I agree completely with Skeletor and crew. I didn't play the Final Shape when it came out because I didn't want to pay the prices (literally and figuratively). Then in early Dec I saw a special price for Final Shape and 3 ACTs so I bought it. Went through the Final Shape campaign and then got introduced to some of the new economy and activities. Brought back in a rush the old 'grind syndrome'. I went through the exotic quest to get the Ergo Sum sword and then saw what it would take as a grind to try to get different rolls. OMG. Didn't do ANYTHING for the Dawning and only learned about the issues by watching Aztecross video's. I logged off of Destiny 2 last weekend and don't miss it. Previously I hadn't played in about a year. Final comment- we went through 10 years not naming our ghosts or learning much about them (and had no real vested emotional content in our own ghosts, but cared more about other characters ghost's like Cayde and Osiris), but then in Final Shape out ghost 'dies' and yet what did I feel? NOTHING because I didn't get to name it or really personally interact with it in 10 years.... Oh well, D1 was my go to game for so long and I enjoyed the vast majority of it. Only enjoyed limited aspects (pun intended) of D2 along the way. I doubt Bungie will rise from the ashes given there is nobody left to do so. IF they came out with a D3 that introduces a totally new story AND economy AND the story is engaging and they retain their gameplay and enhance it, I would enjoy coming back, but at this point.....giving up the grind makes the most sense for me. I got the Final Shape on release, but stopped playing a month after I finished the story. I realized I was happy for Cayde to return, and with the L.Riddick last year I thought we'd have some real stakes, and they'd kill off characters, but no. They brought Cayde back to kill him and Sundance off again. They promised real stakes, and didn't deliver. Now Bungie won't get a second of my time in game, or a cent out of my wallet
Almost like how they forced us to care about Amanda Holiday dying! A character I can count on 1 hand the number of times I actually had any contact with in 9 years at the towers.....🙄

there's always a pattern to these old dev teams that been around for a while, all the higher ups with all the control are old and ready to retire so why care about what happens to the company after they leave? There's a reason we never get their names, they are checked the heck out and ready for their pension.

The main selling point of a dlc is not something QA needs to test it should be obvious whether it works as intended.
