It's truly an amazing sandwich. It can be found everywhere. For me the ratio shrimp, egg, mayo is crucial. Sometimes it's a big glob of mayo, egg and then some shrimps. I also prefere to squeeze some lemon over the whole thing. 😀
Thank you Gohr, my all time favourite, but I almost never order it unless I know that it’s hand-peeled in the restaurant/cafe. For me, growing up by the ocean on the west coast, egg is just there to make extra money for the restaurants 😉
Very nice, Christian! Purist you are :-) I agree, shrimps, langoustine and many other seafood from the west coast in Sweden are delicious. I have friends there and my daughter lives in Gothenburg. Such a pleasure when I visit to buy these things fresh. You are totally right about the texture and also about the sourdough bread. In cafées in Sweden they use a slightly sweet, white, soft bread, not good in my book. I can though add one leaf of flat, green salad and just a few slices of of hard boiled egg plus some lemon juice. There must be a lot of shrimps, agree with Gohr below. Mayo home made, Kewpie is very good, I lived in Japan. It is available online, but terribly expensive here in the old country, (Romania). A fun clip, keep them coming, both simple and elaborate ones!
Thank you Micke! Agreed, seafood shopping on the west coast is a dream, either from a store or a “fiskbil”, but best is if you find the possibility to buy straight from the fishing boats 😍 Has not happened to me many times but sometimes, and those are the times I remember most 🤗
Viagra Boys got me curious about this 😂. As a land locked American, this looks delicious! I’ve tried making my own before, but I didn’t know what to put on it because we don’t have a huge seafood selection where I am (all frozen anyway). Not many restaurants that serve seafood either.
Tack för ditt recept, jag gillar det väldigt mycket
Tack för kommentaren Mimmo 🤗

😂 Yes, difficult to get this outside of Sweden. But this would also be a great reason to once make a Sweden trip 😉
Absolutely not
We just have to agree to disagree on the shrimp sandwich stuff 😉
