You are right about the sound - it becomes even more intense and impactful with headphones . Nice reaction all!!! Suggest another Queen song - “Somebody to Love” a live performance from 1981 in Montreal . Queen are known for being as good if not better live than studio - and studio is always amazing . The other iconic Queen performance that others will tell you about is their 20 minute “set” during a day long music extravaganza with 7 live satellites sending broadcast into a guesstimated audience of about 1.9 billion people and 72k audience attending in London and 90k in Philadelphia Many many top musicians played that day (13th July 1985) to help raise money for relief of the Ethiopian famine - this was “Live Aid” 1985. Most agree that Queen and in particular Freddie put on the most impressive live performance of all time - it’s a must watch!
@@gabrielbrown1855 No,shure it was not in the Wembley Stadium, because the concert startet at daylight. You can order the video of the Queen performance at the concert. They played around 25 minutes at the live aid concert
You said a cool thing: "Musicians see the future." I think that is because musicians make the future - there is power in their visions and words and they are usually ahead of less creative people in exhorting people to do the right thing and be themselves - so it's a self fulfilling process.
This is a masterpiece. Queen was/is one of the best and most legendary bands that ever existed. Their beauty & grace & creative energy is what they are. Incredible!
You guys comitted such a crime, pausing Brian May's guitar solo, lol. Don't do that, NEVER! Lol, great and genuine reaction and what a beatuiful family you are.
I loved everyone’s heartfelt reaction to this fantastic song ….. yes, you should react to more Queen songs. They have like 300 songs over 20 years of hits….many iconic songs that you might recognize. Most all of their songs are better when done live than the studio releases. Please react to Somebody to Love live in Montreal 1981. Thank you
Someone needed to hug that beautiful young lady in the front when tears rolled down her face. It pierced her heart when he got to the line, "I sometimes wished I'd never been born at all". Bless your sweet soul young lady. ♥️
This song is like a modern day opera in three acts. First is the crime and the remorse ‘Mama just killed a man’, Second act is the court case and sentence ‘Let him go! No, we will not let you go’, and finally the last act is the anger and defiance at the sentence ‘so you think you can stop me and spit in my eye?’. Freddie Mercury was a genius, ably backed by guitar maestro Brian May. Imagine what Freddie could have written had he lived longer. ❤ By the way, the silver snake bracelet he is wearing in the video sold recently at auction for $881,000 USD. Freddie was and still is loved.
Guys, your emotional reaction is so precious. Don't be ashamed of your tears. They are cathartic and soul cleansing. Looking forward to your next reaction. May God Bless you all!
I appreciate SO much your groups reaction. So many people who critique that video laugh nervously because it surprises them. But all of your reactions were full of respect. Thank you. : )
Wow. Wow. Wow. This is why I love to watch reaction videos. The raw emotion at hearing beautiful music warms my heart. What a sensitive & wonderful family. ❤
This is such a beautiful song. The lyrics can seem a bit harsh depending upon how you view them, but I have always thought of this song as a reflective idea of an opera. Tragedy, Drama and an ending that never really comes to fruition, leaving the listener to draw their own conclusions...because in the end, nothing really matters. Thank you for your reactions.
When i first heard this a couple decades ago, i was driving. And i pulled my car over, turned up the radio, closed my eyes and cried while I listened. Best song ever made. Best reaction I've seen, you guys get it
The man he killed was the man he thought he would be. The one his parents wanted him to be and the one that society expected. The rest is the struggle between his dark and light side for control(the guitar & the Piano) eventually becoming one, assimilated and at peace with who he his.
I love when people don't only listen to the beauty of the music by actually hear the depth of the story in the song. Freddy's voice was golden and almost always had a message to tell. Thanks for sharing!
Just one of their songs is a complete masterpiece! Guitarist Brian May has a two-part here on RUclips that explains how they layered all of these voices.
Thanks - such a classic and unique song.. now almost FIFTY years old... headphones, btw, make it even more amazing... appreciate all of your reactions and look forward to more!
Loved all of your reactions, thank you! If you are not familiar with Queen's live performances, I highly recommend you check them out. There is no better live band, IMO, and certainly no better front man than Freddie Mercury. Queen does not disappoint!

These lovely people have such tender hearts, and such very real and very thoughtful reactions to everything they post about. With so many content creators out there doing vile, stupid pranks, or mukbangs, or just being so fakey or outrageous to get any kind of “likes” or “followers”, it is so refreshing to just watch lovely people with sweet hearts quietly watch something and having meaningful, thoughtful conversations about it. It's a crime to listen to Bohemian Rhapsody without headphones as you can't get the full effect of the panning etc, and to pause in the middle of Sir Dr Brian May's guitar solo, just a word of advice ! Great reaction to the LEGENDS !
The harmonies in the beginning of the song were all Freddie Mercury!! He was the only one signing and laid down 100+ tracks of himself!! Then the band joins in once Freddie is at the piano! RIP Freddie! 💜 Sir Brian May, John Deacon & Roger Taylor 💜
The intro has Mercury singing a five part harmony. They may have been double or even triple-tracked to thicken the sound but no more. The 100+ tracks relate to the operatic section where Freddie, Roger and Brian multi-tracked their voices many times.

What a wonderful piece of creativity 'eh? In ancient Roman times a rhapsody was 3 or more parts. This song certainly has that. I saw Queen and Freddie in concert in Montreal, Nov 24, 1981. To this day well worth the 8000km round road trip it took to get there. Sadly, Freddie also passed the same day and date in 1991. My B-day. I light a candle for him and play Who Wants to Live Forever every year.
When I was a teenager back in the 80’s, I would go into the kitchen while my Mom was making dinner and belt out ‘Mama, just killed a man…’ I’d sing the whole thing. She was unimpressed 😆
RIP, Freddie. He owned the stage! Freddie had four extra teeth, but he never had them removed because he didn't want to do anything that might affect his performance. I was 15 when this song came out in 1975 (yes, I'm an old lady!) and I can say that this song and the video were truly ahead of their time. This was six years before MTV was even created! Back then music videos were clips on TV shows with the band sometimes playing live, sometimes lip-synching/pretending to play their instruments. This is one of (if not *the*) first videos to be made specifically to market a song. P. S. Glad y'all were quiet at the end of the song! Im 43, I've loved Queen since i was 7 and my dad played me Bohemian rhapsody for the first time, i have listened to that song( and their others) many times over the past decades..but watching your reaction, especially the girl in black when she started crying, made me feel those words stronger than i ever have before, and for the first time i found myself crying while listening. When my mother heard the first line of the song, she stopped the CD. I was happy because I had just gotten a car (a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier. It was a very bright green. My parents got the color because they knew that I wore glasses and they didn't want me to lose my car in a large parking lot)I was happy, but I was a little angry. Why? Because she said that she didn't like me listening to anything about "somebody killing somebody" 😂. We argued a bit and I had to drive to the shopping mall and forced her to hear the entire song. And she was impressed. I loved it the first time I heard it. Freddie Mercury had an amazing voice.
