What probably really happened: Grandpa started digging a bomb shelter, while carving limestone he started to mess around to see if he could sculpt faces, and he was decent at it so he kept doing it, then eventually while digging further he hit an old cemetery or Indian burial ground. After realizing he'd been digging in a grave yard, he stopped, put up a door to seal it off, and abandoned it. When the grandson asked about, he said it was an Ossuary, and not to go there. Then someone finds it later and of course freaks out imaging all kinds of weird shit that must've been going on there.

Or, he buried his friends from the army there and he carved their faces on the wall.
why did the guy sculpt a skull tho, and weren't the faces around the cross? If he found a religious spot (which is already weird af) why would he start carving around it and didn't continue ahead? I wish they explained approximately how many bones were there, like if there's a ton it's definitely a cemetery, but if there's a small amount enough for just one skeleton someone probably got lost in the tunnels and died.
Grandpa was just practicing sculpting. You know, every person has an artist in him, in form of painter, musician or even sculptor.

You thought getting stabbed in the dark or seeing a freaky face in the wall was bad, imagine sneaking around an old zoo place and finding a 20 year old 7 foot long great white shark sitting in a foggy tank full of formaldehyde in the darkness that was illuminated solely by your flashlight. Yes, this is real, look up Rosie the Shark
@PumpkinSeed They did have to leave it when the zoo shut down prolly because of how heavy that thing is. The exhibit was built around the tank itself first... like, they lifted the tank down the open roof of the exhibit which kinda looks like a shed, and there's a setup in the ground that was supposed to filter out the gunk inside the formaldehyde coming off the shark. But once the filters stopped working the whole tank got cloudy. Nobody even knew about it until an urbex dude found it by accident and then a couple of idiots broke 2 of the glass panels after throwing in random items into the tank. Took a hazmat team to clean up the mess that apparently stunk up the air in a 2 km radius. Thankfully it got enough publicity that the shark in the tank was picked up and rehomed in a place called Crystal World. They're slowly filling it up with glycerin instead since its safer, but I think the damage to the shark itself is done because she was lookin particularly crusty after the solution got exposed to the air.
Edit: i should prolly mention the shark itself died in '96 before they decided to put it in the exhibit. Great whites do not survive in captivity, especially not in a tank so small that only allows it to float.
I got that video in my recommended months ago, I was the first few people who found out Rosie's backstory, it's really sad but I had to accept that she was already dead before being put in the tank.
@@PyroFTB agreed. Though I suppose it is better than the alternative, where she was a living shark left behind to die (although that isn't possible with a shark like herself). If I remember right, she didn't even die in the fishing net that she was found in, someone euthanized her right there before anyone came up with the idea of preserving her.

I don't think it's anything too deep. I think the faces are just a creative art project that probably someone or her grandpa made while waiting in the shelter years ago.
The bones are probably from a unrelated burial of some thing long ago.
its common for people to draw when bored or to pass the time. and with the ability to chizzel the wall someone probably just used that as a medium to create. Faces are usually one of the first things people draw when bored. Very simple and easy to make.

The curve in the rib isn't sharp enough to be a human rib. Human ribs are angled pretty sharply because our chests aren't as deep as the chests of most animals. They look a bit like fish hooks.
The rib in the picture looks like the rib of a ruminant, such as a deer or small cow (maybe a goat, but it's hard to tell the size of the rib from that picture). It's not human though, that's for sure.

I believe it's suggesting that he killed his wife especially if it's fake because I recall his wife dying along with him possibly going insane as details of the story before stepping in there.
But also "suddenly/under strange circumstances" or whatever unless my mind added that and I'm too lazy to go back and listen again but as I'm thinking about it I start to think how it could even be possible without raising suspicion unless he did it in a way that isn't obvious, let the whole burial thing happen and then dug her up. I dunno.
That being said I wouldn't think anything in particular about the carvings themselves if it wasn't for the bones being there, especially buried/hidden in cement because if there were just that one bone he could've just been there snacking on a rib and left the bone.
Although it looks more like one of the bones from a lower arm to me.
That isn’t a rib. It isn’t. Either you have been vegan from your birth and have never seen a rib, or you are just fucking with us
I'm A specialist in Cold War History and I can tell you that this shelter was a rare-type of shelter in which all Recommended designs were merged into one. The wall curves off so that the initial blast radiation would not flood through the shelter if the first door was open. The Toilet is a Civil Defense Sanitation Kit that could be easily made into a commode from about '61 or '62. But they had a surplus of these made well into the 1970s. The door with Barbed wire was more of a defensive measure against possible neighbors trying to get in most likely. It could have also been another barrier for Radiation. The whole reason it was in a cave was to keep out radiation. each 100 feet into the a cave shaves off around 20% of possible fallout reaching the shelter.
For everything else, I got no idea, That demonic stuff I can't say for. Most likely the person made the Shelter as a Cover for whatever.. this stuff is.

That is because Abrahamic religions as a whole emerged in response to the extremism boiling up in pagan religions. As a Hindu myself I used to be quite bewildered previously when people in the west inherently correlated paganism with the Devil worshipping or stuff of that sort ; but the deeper I look through the annals of history concerning it , the more I understand why they bore those optics in this connotation.

Isn't it most likely that his grandfather, or someone else, carved the face in the wall as art? Practicing how to make a human face sculpture? Everyone has to start somewhere right. Michelangelo didn't come out of the womb with a chisel in hand like, 'where's my marble slab?!".

It’s either the Pillar Men, Angelo, or the Bosses face.

damn theres more Pillarmen
I'm so glad I discovered this channel. Good shit, Muta.
the jojo stone mask is coming along perfectly
Love these new kind of videos mutahar. Keep it up :)
Maybe the faces are like a tombstone of the peoples skeletons that are there, those are what the people looked like, to identify who the remains belonged to
The faces were maybe just art decorations that he carved or it's the faces of people buried in the ossuary. Or maybe it's his loved ones faces that he decided to carve so it's like "pictures"
not knowing that if that wall was busted down, a stone mask and a pillarman would be there standing frozen in stone.
The faces could be a form of honoring or memorializing the dead, to be fair - and the demonic laughter could simply be the poster's mind making things up essentially. The mind does that in periods of isolation, especially when it's not getting much stimulation to its other senses (like a silent room with unchanging smells and no movement/samey visuals) its why putting prisoners in isolation cracks their minds so quickly

This video is a year old, but if I had to guess those faces are most likely people that he remembers / sees because of PTSD, since people said he was never the same after he came home. PTSD and anxiety drove him to dig a bomb shelter, and as he continued to do it he probably had frequent PTSD 'attacks', for lack of a better term, and carved the faces into the wall. The woman could be his wife, or how he perceives her, and that angry face looks like it would be his Drill Sergeant, or that would make the most sense. Then, as Andrew B said, he was most likely digging in an old cemetary / burial ground, and put up a door to make sure no one ever goes down there to disturb it, and told his grandson not to go down there. Once more as Andrew B said, "Ossuary" is probably what me meant, which means a container or room in which dead people's bones are kept.
Dang, that actually makes a lot of sense.
Good vid. Definitely would do more of this creepypasta IRL type stuff.

Han Solo looks really rough like he's given up over the years
Tbh mudahar(Idk if I'm spelling it right?) I thought you lived in America
I have a theory about this carved faces. In some European cultures, they usually carve the likeness of a deceased person over their burial cite or grave when buried within a crypt or, in this case, an ossuary. See, back in those times, you couldn't flip over a family photo album or read over your family tree. When your parents took you to visit grandma, especially if you were a noble in those times, there's a good chance you'd see her stone portrait over her grave. A good example of this practice is the grave of 13th century British Bishop Henry Despenser, in which a bust of his likeness rest on top of his tomb in North Elmham.
Grandpa had PTSD so he built a shelter to feel safe again, he carved the cross so he could pray (he was most likely catholic) carved his fallen brothers in arms into the cave to kinda immortalize them, them stumbled upon some sort of burial ground and noped the hell outta there.
