Obviously, the paranoia and hallucinations are good indicators of this, but in my opinion the 'unconsciousness' she describes are catatonic episodes where she is losing parts of her day and can't remember them, which paranoia is then attributing to this conspiratorial delusion. Disorganisation is also a big symptom, and this would explain the fragmented and confusing posts she's making - they don't make sense to anyone else but to her it feels like she is communicating clearly. The issue is is that she has thus far (to my knowledge) not done anything that makes her likely to commit harm to herself or others - which means she cannot be involunarily hospitalised (at least I think - this is how it is in most countries but I'm not sure if it is in South Korea). As she cannot be sectioned, it is extremely difficult for her to get help. 40% of schizophrenics refuse to accept their diagnosis - the diagnosis they attribute to a conspiracy to trick them into not fighting the threat they believe to exist. This is a very sad situation where in order to break the delusion she needs anti-psychs meds and therapy, but, like many of my schizophrenic brothers and sisters, she will view any attempt to give her this assistance as a hostile threat and will refuse it.
Sadly, South Korea has a horrible track record when it comes to mental health. It's something that is very stigmatized there, so it is very likely that Chip-Chan is seen by her community as someone to be frightened of or to ostracize. :(
Tylociraptor yeah it is pretty bad in asia here. I remember growing whilst also suffering from mental illness, in one instance an asian novel a minor character had committed suicide and their community shunned him even to the point of burying him in an unmarked grave. The idea of mental health and suicide is seen as such a stigma and liability here, seeing how it was depicted in asian media also made it a lil bit sadder and stung worse for me.

I’ve been studying her case off and on for a few years now - she started out in a small room with boxes/items filling it up so much that you could barely see her. Luckily, she has moved from that room - not sure if it’s the same house just different room. She’s had caring people come and do checks on her (past videos someone came to switch her clothes or tidy up the room, sometimes feed her). she’s been noted to have issues with charcoal - I say this because some people speculate the pain she feels is from her inflicting pain on herself with an addiction to charcoal (of course I do not know this as fact). her parents have passed, and average people have tried visiting her/talking to the police nearby. The police know about her but that’s all the information anyone can get. The area that she lives in frowns upon mental illness and acknowledging/treating it (this is what I’ve read from the subreddit) so there’s not much anyone can really do at this point. It’s a shame and I get frustrated with the way people view her/treat her streams. I hope she finds justice soon. Remember, some may find her story to be BS, but to her, it’s real and should be looked at as real.

She refused to get help for her mental illness after her parents died. The cop she talks about Park Sung Dong is actually a good family friend who swore to watch over her after her parents died. And an elderly couple who own/run a nearby store bring her groceries and other things she needs. She believed that when she found out about the chip in her leg it was moved to above her eyebrow. Originally she believed she couldn't leave the room but now she sometime does for hours. The cops and others know about her but there is nothing they can do. Mental illness in Korea is either ignored or seen as a family curse. *Edit: Apparently, I read it wrong from the source. The inherited wealth was 500 Million KRW and she's paranoid. Because of this she also receives some monthly grant from the Govt and the flat where she lives in isn't that costly either. I completely agree with you when you say that she’s schizophrenic. At my worst, I was convinced that people were listening to me through my walls. I crept around my house everyday making as little noise as possible, afraid of everyone who passed the house on the street. It was genuinely terrifying for me, so I can’t help but feel empathy for her.
12:00 I've been subbed to her for a couple years now and gone through a lot of this story. Chipchan leads an extremely sedentary life as we can all see. She attributes bed sores to being mind controlled. I believe she's likely paranoid schizophrenic and is unable to escape a reoccurring nightmare. The pain from the bed sores persists into her dream state. Which is why she has explanations like she was implanted with more mind control weapons. Mr. P is likely present in these nightmares while being based on an actual police officer who has done/does do wellness checks. I can't speak on what we should do, but I really hope a caring mental health professional will stumble across Chipchan. She's publicly trapped in a nightmare.

If we're ever to be a successful species, we absolutely must find our way to lifting each other up, not tearing each other down. We can't expect to succeed as a species if we keep viciously acting like animals toward each other. The thing to learn from something like this is that the subjective--perspective and perception--isn't necessarily rooted in fact or logic, and regardless of that fact, they still play a bigger role in a given person's concept of "reality" to them, than anything empirical and logical and "true" does, especially if that person doesn't already know and understand the important related empirical facts that negate their subjective, flawed idea of reality. To Chipchan, all of this is unquestionably real- it's as real to her, on the inside, as her state of delusion and probable paranoid schizophrenia is to us, on the outside. Trolling a sick person like Chipchan is one of the lowest forms of thoughtless, weak-willed, pity-deserving, "NPC"-type behavior humans display. For someone to have so little pride and fortitude that they can't even find the strength inside themselves to control themselves and not troll her is so sad to me. Lacking that basic level of empathy is fucking embarrassing and I really feel worse for the people who troll her than I do for her. At least she's found a way to exist, albeit dis functionally. The people who feel like they need to victimize a helpless suffering human like her haven't even found a way to exist without that coping mechanism of bullying a helpless sick person. Any human who finds that sort of thing to be fun or funny has 'at least' as much wrong with them as Chipchan has wrong with her, just a different kind of wrong. Help can be painful, and so can progress, but help should never cause more suffering than it cures. This whole case reminds me of a man I once met while working at Tim Hortons. There was a homeless man who had an eerie resemblance to Donald Trump was sitting outside of the store for hours on end in the snow, just talking to himself. He was obviously off his nut, but seemed harmless. While I was on my break I decided to put $10 on a giftcard and go give it to him so he could buy some food.. he thanked me but declined because, and I quote, "The government is watching me at all times, they don't want me to eat. If they do they'll make me sick." My heart broke. I hope he was put into a hospital at some point, in the moment I couldn't do anything more to help him. Schizophrenia is very serious and scary if left untreated.

I too have a form of schizophrenia(I call it acute form of it), but I'm self aware and I generally know what is real and what is fake, however when I was younger it was extremely blurred. I use to have "s3xual @ssaults" happen in my sleep. I would wake up in pain as if someone had physically harmed me or s3xually @ssaulted me, it was truamatic and scary to say the least. When I was younger it used to be very bad and I would think aliens, spirits or whatever was watching me 24/7, talking to me or threatening me. This mindset is very terrifying and hard to break through and I pray that she can find the light in her experiences as symptoms of schizophrenia. When you find out your schizophrenic and understand your symptoms, or atleast for me, you find that you have some control over it- well not control but consciousness to help control how to feel and react to schizo experiences, not reacting to them seemed to help for me but every once in awhile there be another thing for me to mentally hustle through just to think clearly and realistically... So I hope she can do that one day for herself. I wish and pray for her to have some peace in mind..
At the beginning of the video you said kids being chipped was kind of messed up. I agree but then I thought about how much children go missing and I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. I'm not sure, I think in the future it might be an option for safety, the chip possibly being removed when people become adults if they decide to remove it. I completely agree with you when you say that she’s schizophrenic. At my worst, I was convinced that people were listening to me through my walls. I crept around my house everyday making as little noise as possible, afraid of everyone who passed the house on the street. It was genuinely terrifying for me, so I can’t help but feel empathy for her.

I've been subbed to her for a couple years now and gone through a lot of this story. Chipchan leads an extremely sedentary life as we can all see. She attributes bed sores to being mind controlled.
I believe she's likely paranoid schizophrenic and is unable to escape a reoccurring nightmare. The pain from the bed sores persists into her dream state. Which is why she has explanations like she was implanted with more mind control weapons. Mr. P is likely present in these nightmares while being based on an actual police officer who has done/does do wellness checks. I can't speak on what we should do, but I really hope a caring mental health professional will stumble across Chipchan.

If we're ever to be a successful species, we absolutely must find our way to lifting each other up, not tearing each other down. We can't expect to succeed as a species if we keep viciously acting like animals toward each other.
The thing to learn from something like this is that the subjective--perspective and perception--isn't necessarily rooted in fact or logic, and regardless of that fact, they still play a bigger role in a given person's concept of "reality" to them, than anything empirical and logical and "true" does, especially if that person doesn't already know and understand the important related empirical facts that negate their subjective, flawed idea of reality.
To Chipchan, all of this is unquestionably real- it's as real to her, on the inside, as her state of delusion and probable paranoid schizophrenia is to us, on the outside.
Trolling a sick person like Chipchan is one of the lowest forms of thoughtless, weak-willed, pity-deserving, "NPC"-type behavior humans display. For someone to have so little pride and fortitude that they can't even find the strength inside themselves to control themselves and not troll her is so sad to me. Lacking that basic level of empathy is fucking embarrassing and I really feel worse for the people who troll her than I do for her. At least she's found a way to exist, albeit dis functionally. The people who feel like they need to victimize a helpless suffering human like her haven't even found a way to exist without that coping mechanism of bullying a helpless sick person. Any human who finds that sort of thing to be fun or funny has 'at least' as much wrong with them as Chipchan has wrong with her, just a different kind of wrong. Maybe on some level they understand that and that's why they feel they need to lash out and victimize the helpless? It's like the bullies who beat up little kids in a misguided attempt to feel better about how their own dad comes home and drunk rapes them every night.
All humans--especially the ones who are suffering--deserve compassion and care, and picking on them is the lowest form of social scum behavior and should feel very embarrassing to anyone with the smallest fraction of self-realization.
Inb4 "safe spaces." That's empirically nonsense. There's a difference between helping someone and coddling them. Help can be painful, and so can progress, but help should never cause more suffering than it cures. There are nuances like this to reality that adults understand, and that people need to stop ignoring.

This whole case reminds me of a man I once met while working at Tim Hortons. There was a homeless man who had an eerie resemblance to Donald Trump was sitting outside of the store for hours on end in the snow, just talking to himself. He was obviously off his nut, but seemed harmless. While I was on my break I decided to put $10 on a giftcard and go give it to him so he could buy some food.. he thanked me but declined because, and I quote, "The government is watching me at all times, they don't want me to eat. If they do they'll make me sick."
My heart broke. I hope he was put into a hospital at some point, in the moment I couldn't do anything more to help him. Schizophrenia is very serious and scary if left untreated.

This is heartbreaking for me to watch. Im no psychiatrist but its obvious she has schizophrenia and desperately needs help. She reminds me of a ex girlfriend I had that would say she heard all sorts of voices in her head but absolutely refused to get help or see any kind of doctor for any reason. Its pretty sad

I too have a form of schizophrenia(I call it acute form of it), but I'm self aware and I generally know what is real and what is fake, however when I was younger it was extremely blurred. I use to have "s3xual @ssaults" happen in my sleep. I would wake up in pain as if someone had physically harmed me or s3xually @ssaulted me, it was truamatic and scary to say the least. When I was younger it used to be very bad and I would think aliens, spirits or whatever was watching me 24/7, talking to me or threatening me. This mindset is very terrifying and hard to break through and I pray that she can find the light in her experiences as symptoms of schizophrenia. When you find out your schizophrenic and understand your symptoms, or atleast for me, you find that you have some control over it- well not control but consciousness to help control how to feel and react to schizo experiences, not reacting to them seemed to help for me but every once in awhile there be another thing for me to mentally hustle through just to think clearly and realistically... So I hope she can do that one day for herself. I wish and pray for her to have some peace in mind..

At the beginning of the video you said kids being chipped was kind of messed up. I agree but then I thought about how much children go missing and I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. I'm not sure, I think in the future it might be an option for safety, the chip possibly being removed when people become adults if they decide to remove it. Reminds me of one of the patients we had, he thought he was being controlled with a laser by a named woman and the laser used items around him to be enhanced and more details.
