Came back to say that I was averaging 50% on the MCQ the day before the test; however, after watching this video, I felt pretty confident on the MCQ section. I ended up getting a 5!!
the strategy that you mentioned about underlining the line reference is the best tip i’ve ever gotten. i just took the ap test today, and i don’t think i would have finished if i didn’t do the line reference thing. i feel like this one strategy can also bring up my inconsistent act reading score to the mid-high 30s. thanks!
Yes, please. Make a list of the literary devices. By the way, I love your videos. They have been helping me a lot, specially since English is my second language. Love your channel 🙌🏼😊
I found out this past February that I could knock out a really intense class at my chosen college by taking the AP Lang exam...so I decided in March that I'd self-study for and take the exam. Even though I'm a pretty good writer (I've taken some college-level writing classes, but they weren't "ap"), I'm low-key terrified that I'll miss something since I'm self-studying XD Your video was very reassuring!
Thank you so much! I'm an incoming junior and I am about to take AP Lang. I'm very intimidated by the low passing rate and the amount of my friends who failed the 2024 exam. I'll keep your tips in mind and work to achieve an 'A' in the class and a '4' or '5' score on the exam. 🦅🦅🦅🦅
Thank you!! for this video and the others of your channel I’m taking this class this year and I haven’t always been the best when it comes to writing I get good grades but I can improve when it comes to how fast I am.
guys my test is tomorrow LMAO I barely studied and everyone in the comments is literally manifesting pffftttt. I NEED TO LEARN THIS MANIFESTING THING!! lol wish me luck
Oh my, I believe the advice you gave from the perspective of a 5 point achiever is very insightful. Everything sounds very useful and effective. I think for any kind of exams, it is always most helpful to seek advice from those who actually got a top score, and I also believe the clear structure of your video must be benefited by your writing. It seems that writing is such a powerful skill as it helps people to think and speak clearly
Good luck on your exam, you're going to ace it! Make sure to check out all the videos in my AP Lang playlist: ruclips.net/p/PL0B_uKjIILStKXhRBRWS6jHZLKp7Pguoq. Stay tuned this week for the rest of my AP Lang Rhetorical Strategies series!
Been taking practice tests and even tho during my course we haven't don't much stuff that's gonna be on the exam I've found the mcqs not too hard and there weren't really any questions at all that required knowledge of lesser-known rhetorical devices, but the rhetorical analysis essay is where that knowledge is needed
does anyone have tips for ppl who are taking the exam digitally? some of these tips aren't applicable this year because you can't go back after answering a question in the MCQ section
I am so stressed about the argumentative essay part I don’t know how to gain general knowledge... like where do you recommend I start? The AP is nearing and I don’t have time to read a ton of books or anything... what kinds of topics are helpful to know?
Hey Grace, don't worry! The key to this essay isn't necessarily trying to learn as much new information as you can; instead, you should try to remember topics you already know well. I would suggest making a list of any interesting books you've read in the past, any news stories that have caught your eye, and personal experiences. To gain more general knowledge, you can also read news stories daily from credible sources such as The New York Times - I read it every day!
Basically everyone AP test hall happen on the same day for each subject to prevent cheating. And it’s on paper too because the website had a problem. 😢 3 essays on paper

Let me know if there are any particular devices you'd like to learn about. Here's the first video in that series: ruclips.net/video/ctG1R-74q9I/видео.html.
