Yes, I never got the privilege to see them live. I think when I was 14 years old, we seen stepping wolf fog hat and Blackfoot. And I've seen what's left of Grand Punk railroad not too long ago. At the Walnut Creek amphitheater in Raleigh, NC. I saw Hank Williams junior Charlie Daniels, the Marshall Tucker band. And 38 special. But I grew up on classic rock, and that's all the classic rock bands i've ever seen. I mean, I've seen def Leppard, but I don't really think that counts. LOL. Zeppelin have always been one of my favorite. and I have 100 favorites. but Zeppelin always been in that top 3 to five category. I feel, every band in every era on every continent has been inspired in some way or another by Led Zeppelin. proving that to me was the fact that John Farnham warns up to black dog. and there is a reaction before this where I do own up and I stick to what I say by John Farnham. I was saying Robert Plant in that particular song. I also admit that he's probably All in all, a better singer than Maynard. I think just the sheer chance he takes with what he does is commendable and worth a lot of Brownie Points lol

Thanks for this guys, this song has always been one of my favourite tracks from them. I don't think I have seen them doing it live before and I was a bit worried that Jimmy Page would kill the pristine nature of the version they recorded, by his rambling impromptu soloing, but it was okay. After you have the original perfect rendition buried in your brain, it is always difficult for a live performance to be received without comparing it disfavourably. In any case, he did some good variations of the song which do help to show that as the creator of the original, he has the ability to change the basic song however he likes and the song is a dynamic thing being created while you watch. Loved it, because it shows his musical genius as a composer as well as a guitarist. I remember going to see the film "The Song Remains the Same" back in 1976 with my girlfriend. It was unusual because they were one of the first rock bands to do that, and it gave their music fans a chance to see them perform as well as information about the problems that they had with touring and management etc. Apart from TV and live concerts, we didn't have much opportunity to see them - especially if you lived in Australia like me.
People have different feelings about this, but I appreciate how Zeppelin would modify their songs during live performances. Jimi Hendrix did the same and some people didn't like it. I feel that when you are dealing with people as creative as Zeppelin, that would get pretty bored playing the same things over and over. Danny and I may watch The Song Remains the Same. But with more and more subs, it's getting harder to do. But we're up for the challenge. I think page was an actual wizard. I mean, you know, he bought Crowley's house. But yes, the way he seamlessly plays the guitar without even looking or even glancing his eyes. closed does seem like he's in a translucent state. I love this man.
