Learn how to make a miniature sink, faucet, and pipes using simple materials. I made the sink using polymer clay. The pipes are a q-tip and paper. The faucets are made from a pin, earring back, and beads.
Assorted size round nail decor (I used the biggest size ball)

Miter Shears- this pair is highly rated and has replaceable blades

Heat gun- I use mine to quickly dry paint, soften the glue to dismantle furniture and quickly cure polymer clay without an oven. Gets a lot hotter than a hair dryer.

Craft heat gun that doesn't get as hot as mine

I have lots of projects planned ranging from abandoned miniatures, furniture makeovers, dioramas, accessories, kits and Dollhouse Miniatures in multiple scales. I also have a large Harry Potter build planned for 1" scale.

“To be safe you should have someone else hold it.” I literally lol’d. 😂 Your work is brilliant btw.
Me too!!! Bawhaha. Love, k
So did I!!! Hahaha
Thank you! 😁
Pure genius! ❤
Sometimes you don't realize you were doing something dangerous until you watch your footage back during editing. Then you realize you're lucky you still have all your digits.
I’m always surprised at the lens by which miniaturists view the world. Who would have thought an earring back would look like faucet hardware? That grommet is a perfect drain.
I'm so psyched about that. I just bought the earring backs very recently.
When my daughter was young she and I got into dollhouse miniatures in a big way. We traveled to regional shows and took classes so trust me when I tell you that this woman is a master of her craft.
I really thought the sink was store bought before I watched the video. Beautiful job as always!
Thanks so much! 😊
Yeah, I was CONVINCED this must've been store bought!! Incredible
How it went from rough looking clay to smooth white porcelain is amazing!! This is inspiring and thats what I'll tell RUclips if they ask why i liked the video
Excellent! Tell them
I love how you gave options for the faucets - mass produced, beads, or making them from absolute scratch - so absolutely anyone can do this. Wonderful tutorial once again ❤❤
Thanks so much!
First of all, BRAVO for not using a 3D printer to make this. I absolutely appreciate that the sink was totally hand made. It turned out perfect - looking at it, I would have thought it was purchased. Second, you CRACK ME UP. I love your dry wit - "to be safe, have someone else hold it" - yup, love it!!! ;)
Thank you very much! I appreciate that
RUclips needs more miniaturists building from scratch to help newbies get into the craft 👏👏👏👏
I agree 👏
I am in awe that you made the sink. Wow! Then I'm so impressed that you made the faucets.❤
I wanted the entire thing to be made from scratch, so the metal faucets had to go.
@@queencityminis I couldn't believe that you made those too. You are Super Woman.😉
i am so in love with this porcelain look! miniature "toilet aisle at lowes" project here i come!!! In my real 1870 house, we have a lot of iron pipes used for little handrails on all of the outdoor stairs. These q-tip pipes are going to make an appearance as railings for sure! good stuff!
Very cool! Maybe you need to make a mini version of your antique house.
@@queencityminis it'd be super easy. I'll just get a victorian dollhouse and an ebay lot of barbie clothes. Cover every surface with laundry .. piles and piles of tiny laundry. Voila! Seriously though, I'm currently sketching out a little courtyard area of our yard that I want to put inside a fancy victorian greenhouse that I'm making as a stained glass project. Also my 7 y.o. daughter and I are planning a dollhouse rehab youtube channel as a summer project, for better or worse. I don't know how you content creators manage ideas and projects so well!
WOW ! Absolutely brilliant. I'm always impressed when someone creates things using 'everyday' materials. You excel at that.
(I laughed out loud at "if you want to be safe, let someone else hold it") 🤣
Haha 😆 Glad you caught that
I loled at that comment as well😂
I cant wait to see what roombox materializes out of this sink!😊🫶🏾
Oooh, you have no idea. I've been working in the background on something for way too long...
You are so full of talent. What an awesome sink
Thanks so much 😊

I snorted my coffee when you said “to be safe have someone else hold it “ lol😂
😆 I'm awful
It’s amazing how you know all these little tricks xxxx
It's laziness! I'm an impatient crafter, so I find all kinds of shortcuts and tricks.
I am so overwhelmed by your videos
Thank you 😊
I have a Chrysenbon (sp?) sink from their bathroom set I’ve had for years. But now I want to make my own sink! Pure genius!❤
I love Chrysnbon! Their pieces are perfectly to scale.

Hi, watch your videos from distant Germany. I love the way you guid us through all the little details you`re creating to make those mini artworks perfect. Thank you and Greetings!
Awesome, thank you! I have a close friend from Germany.
That sink came out phenomenally well! At the beginning I thought there was no way what you started with would end up looking so smooth and polished, but seriously I should know better than that with your skills and talent. Bloody fantastic!
Yeahhhh, it goes through an ugly stage 😆
@@queencityminis 😆😆😆
Turned out great!
Thank you :)
Love how this turned out! Thank you!
Thank you! 😊
Girl, you are awesome 🙌🏽❤️ Love your tutorials
Thank you so much!!
great tutorial thanks a bunch
You're welcome!
OMG I love how this basin turned out! It goes to show you really do need to trust the process as when you pressed the clay over the mould, I wasn't sure how you were going to bring it all together, but you did and it looks phenomenal! Can't wait to see what project it turned up in 🤩
Thank you! I didn't realize how truly ugly the beginning stages were until I read the comments. I knew it turned out great, so I was unconcerned. It really did look like a mess in the beginning 😆 I like creating shapes likes this by baking a simple shape first and using liquid clay and clay to add basic shapes around it. It's so much easier than trying to sculpt all of it at once. This was easy; baked basin from a sheet of clay, then three sheets for the top, front, and back.
Very nice, Shyla.
Thank you!
This looks so realistic! I am absolutely amazed by your work 🙌
Thank you so much 😀
Wow! Gorgeous creative and so incredibly realistic! You are so talented! Thanks, Kathleen
Thank you Kathleen!

Wow that is awesome. Love the size of the sink. It looks like it was mass produced. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Thats the cutest sink ever!
It's a cutie
Just wow!
Thank you so much 💓
Looks great! Reminds me of a sink my grandparents had in a bathroom!
It's such a classic style. Thank you!
How utterly beautiful and amazing 😍
Thank you 😊
So many wonderful ideas and tips...thank you for all of them. Wonderful piece of work!
Thank you so much!
This is so inspiring. Thank you for showing a few ways to make the handles. Amazing how paper can be used or qtips.
Glad it was helpful! I love thinking outside the box.
Perfectly executed with maximum aplomb and SKILL!😎
Incredible results, as always. Thank you for the giggle, too. 😅
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow, you are brilliant! All your miniatures are very beautiful.

Thank you 😊
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Great work, as always. I appreciate your attention to detail. Great tips on how to use wood glue to add some dimension.
I got that tip from Bentley House Minis way back when she did her abandoned coffee shop project. It's a great technique.
You are amazing! Beatiful
Thank you so much!!
lol. Have someone hold it. 🤣
You are such an inspiration 🙌🏼.
Thank you 😜
You are pretty creative and I like that about you too. Have a great day
Thank you so much 🤗
So nicely done!!
Thank you! 😊
Great job. Looks so real. Love your videos!
Thanks so much 😊
That is so freaking cute! Great instructions, you really make me think I can make one too! I probably can't but you sure make it look easy!! Thanks!!
You could probably do this! I baked it a few times, making one simple shape at a time to make it a lot easier to make.
you are fantastic in each video. hats off. from INDIA
Thank you so much 😀
Superb! Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure 😊
Genius. You should apply to be on Best in Miniature.
Isn't that a TV show in the UK?
How flattering! Thank you
Its awesome ! Thank you !
Glad you like it!
Awesome. I need a sink...so I will try this.
You should! I baked mine a couple times to lock in the shape and kept adding clay in stages to make sculpting it easier.
A work of Genius! 🤩
Wow, thanks!
I really enjoy your videos. Especially because you give techniques that we can achieve with what we have on hand! no need for expensive fancy tools! The result is always great! 😍😍
thank you so much for sharing with us! 💕💕💕💕
You are so welcome! I try to make my videos accessible. If I have an odd supply most people don't have, I like to offer an alternative.
Adorable!
Thank you 😊
Absolutely amazing talent ❤❤x
Thanks!
Awesome! Great work!
Thank you 😊
The grommet fitting perfectly for the drain is satisfying to watch😆
It's the little things in life 😀
Great idea to glaze it with wood glue. I would've wasted a ton of time using glazing paste instead, which would've cost more and needed several longer passes.
Wonderful you are so clever.
Thank you! 😊
Wow! Amazing work!!❤️
Thank you! 😊
Wow, this is amazing. You’re very talented. ❤
Thank you so much!!
Absolutely brilliant! You are so creative. I love your videos!!!
❤ SayessDesign
Thank you! 😊
This was great...
Thank you 😊
you should have more views....that is so awesome.:)
Glad you think so!
Looks great! I like the idea of letting some one else hold it! LOL 🤣
Maybe your least favorite child? Or a spouse?
That is so cool, I have never used polymer clay before but I bought a starter pack with a heap of colours after seeing Little Gretchen make food for her dollhouse/roominghouse and thought it was about time I gave it a try.
I struggle with making polymer clay food. I love Little Gretchen's simple techniques. It looks great without being too advanced like Sugar Charm Shop's work. Gorgeous, but out of my skillset.
That is adorable 🤗❤️
Thank you 😊
Это конечно прекрасно когда руки на месте. Но такое разнообразное предложение миниатюры. Можно купить.
Thank you 😊
Simply amazing!! 😅❤
Thank you! 😄
Sooo amazing. Wish I had your talent.
You can do it! The point is to have fun, no matter what the outcome is. Also, don't hurt yourself 😆 I get a lot of knicks and cuts.
Thanks 4 sharing
Thanks for watching 😊
This is awesome! You are so talented. I love the content on your channel.
Thank you so much 😀
Super cool! It's so cute too!! Very inspirational 😁💜
Thank you!! 😊
This is really cool.
Thank you 😊
perfect!
Thank you 😊
This was brilliant. I totally love it. My sink needs a new pipe so...I always have my husband hold minis that I'm drilling 😂😍✨
Smart lady 😂
A small bench -top vise with felt or leather lining the jaws might work to hold stuff for drilling.
At several points I said, "Genius!" I also love that you shoutout who you you get ideas and techniques from.
Thank you! I love supporting one another in the miniature community.
Wow, this was so inspirational. Who knew I didn’t need to buy thousands of dollars of supplies, but could make my own. I've been working on my doll condo for a couple of weeks. So glad I found your channel. I'm sure I can find some other inspiration beforebI finish it. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! You don't need to spend a lot to make a lot of minis
