Yeah, tires are no joke😂 I'll make future videos with a wide variety of testing mediums. But I gotta be honest... I don't think the geometry of this thing is gonna be the best at penetrating flesh😂
First of all, the sides of the blade on a spear are not supposed to be very sharp. Its a thrusting weapon, not a slashing weapon so the edge on it is exactly as it should be. Now I have to say that I own and USE one of these for hunting armadillos on a golf course that I work at. I can throw it about 10 or 15 yards with about 85 percent accuracy. I can throw it further than that, but the accuracy drops significantly after about 15 yards.
Hunting spears are supposed to be sharp along the entire blade. Anti-armor spears from the Middle Ages sometimes had duller ages. I'm glad you like your spear and get some use out of it, but I bought it because it's a goofy piece of junk with entertainment value. 😂

I feel it would be good for camping or hiking as a protective tool against bears, mountain lions, or other big wild animals. That is just my opinion. I wouldn't call it totally useless. You just have to be creative. 🤷♂️
In the next video I make, we'll have a lot more targets. But at the end of the day... this is a cheaply made, mall ninja spear. It's not a serious weapon at all. I got it for the memes 😂
@gideonsstuff
Have you tried modifying/ upgrading them to make them more useful, i.e. strength weak areas or components of repurposing the item for something better?
@@mattnobrega6621 I've only had it for a few days man😂
You need alot more velocity to penetrate a steel belted radial with that spear.
I wasn't trying to go all the way through. Just stick it in the rubber like I did with the first thrust
Cold Steel sells a boar spear that is no joke.
Yeah, it's pretty awesome😂
Maybe I'll show one on the channel sometime
Excellent! Now I want one. I'll cut it down to to two handed pig sticker. Thank you
Have fun 😂
Hm, I think I've found my first edged weapon for 2025. Thick is good, means it wont break easily. And I know how to sharpen blades, so that is not a problem. Yep, that would be a good close quarters weapon, once it is sharpened up. Maybe a good back up weapon for Hog Hunters.
I sharpened it up but the blade geometry is still awful😂
Go spear big carp. Or you can go after potguts. Go hunt orcs,or gnolls. Great for home defense. Get hema training.
I do have an orc infestation at my house....😂
You can buy them at academy sporting goods
Thanks for watching 👍
we have them in oregon at Bimart as well, different brand but there is usually 4 or 5 behind the counter at the sporting goods section there. Reapr Brand I believe
I've tested a few Reapr products, but not the spear. Thanks for watching, man👍
@@gideonsstuff They also have a gladius sword, a tomahawk, and very recently throwing stars of all things.
it's for stickin wild hogs
I don't think this spear would be much good at that😂
But that's exactly what it is.
@@garytrainer1690 I think the intended use was as a toy for tacticool dudes😂
The build quality isn't great and the geometry of the blade is pretty laughable. I definitely wouldn't want to try to take a hog with it
Its the updated version of the discontinued spirit spear model sog used to sell
Interesting 👍
Sick! Too bad I’m broke. I’ve owned the sog tomahawk in 420 for years and it hasn’t broke yet.
We'll see how long this spear lasts 😂
Steel belted radial tires are made with belt of steel. Not so easy to puncture!
No they are not 😂
But I saw an ad in an old magazine when I was kid where a dude was stabbing through tires with one of the M48 versions of this. Thought I'd give it a go😂
Was that a buggy in the background or did you just pass gas ?
It was something on the highway😂
Although... that's exactly what I would say if I did rip ass, so......
A steel belted radial is tuff. Designed to resist puncture at high speeds. Will ruin your tool designed to penetrate flesh and bone.
Yeah, tires are no joke😂
I'll make future videos with a wide variety of testing mediums. But I gotta be honest... I don't think the geometry of this thing is gonna be the best at penetrating flesh😂
Last ditch against a wild boàr!!
Last last last ditch 😂
This thing is pretty cheaply constructed
Take that mom 🤣
Yeah, MOM!😂
It'd make a cool throwing knife if you swapped that plastic stick for a dagger handle.
That could be fun. It's still a massive blade, I don't know how well balanced I could make it 😂
First of all, the sides of the blade on a spear are not supposed to be very sharp.
@gideonsstuff okay, I learned something new then because I have always been told that spear blades are never supposed to be very sharp.
Don’t bet your life on this stuff. A guy who isn’t a clown would eviscerate you with this toy, because it isn’t a toy.
@@williamduke2302 This spear is 100% a mall ninja toy
M48 was the first brand that came out with a spear like that many years ago, their spear is called The Talon 🤔
Yeah, I think M48 is a sub brand of United Cutlery. I may be wrong though 😂
Spears saved the caveman 😮
You bet they did 😂
В 1986г. когда был солдатом Советской Армии в Германии посетил охотничий магазин и увидел похожее копье для добивания кабанов если они атакуют охотника. Оно было похоже как у лопаты отрезали лишние куски металла. То есть можно сделать такое копье из лопаты.
Very cool. I bet that spear in the shop was higher quality than the one in this video. Thanks for watching!
You need a Viking yell to go with it.
You're right!😂
What was the cost?
Fifty bucks, as mentioned in the video 👍
@gideonsstuff I watched entire saw it later good luck man have fun.
@zombieboy5665 Appreciate it, man! Thanks for watching 👍
There's a tonto verson online and it has no hole in blade , i wonder if it will be the better model
Maybe I'll get the chance to test it out as well👍😂
