@ You’re welcome! I enjoy your video style and will look forward to watching all of your videos from the Diamond Princess. We hope to go in 2026. If interested, I have a few Princess cruise videos on my RUclips channel. Thanks again!
Great content! I’m originally from MI too so always fun to find other Michigan peeps. Can I ask about the camera you use on the balcony? Going to Norway Fjords and would love to just film the fjords while going thru , as that is a bucket list for me, but no clue what I would need.
Thanks for watching! Norway Fjords sound awesome. Exciting times ahead for you. As for my cameras, I think I brought three different cameras on that trip. One being, a traditional Canon DSLR, I believe an older Canon Rebel but I did not use that very often. My main device for capturing vlog content is my smartphone, which I believe was actually a Samsung Galaxy S10 during my trip to the Alaskan Fjords. For this most recent trip, I had upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S23+, and recorded virtually all of the Japanese content on that one. For my time lapse shots on the Alaskan cruise, and for pretty much all of my time-lapse content, I use my Canon Powershot G7X Mark ii on a tripod from my balcony. There is a newer, better version of said camera, the Mark iii, that has more features. I think the Mark ii is a decent vlogging camera but it is a big expensive and outdated now. Anyways, you can setup whichever camera you like on a tripod on your balcony to capture some cool time lapse scenes. Tripod wise, I like the mid sized Jobi one with the articulated feet. I also take a $20 cheapo, small collapsible Amazon branded tripod with me for these type of shots also. I believe if you look on my main channel page, that I have an Amazon page with links to said products. (I guess I could make a vlog about the type of equipment I use in these situations.)
I had too much luggage and had already tried taking that much luggage from Haneda airport to Tokyo and didnt want to go through that struggle again. I dont regrey bringing the extra bags because I was able to bring home a lot of extra souvenirs/gifts. Next time, I would definitely travel lighter to make train travel easier though.
Great video with much helpful information-Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
