We are actually looking at a cruise around Japan on Diamond so I was happy to find this. Looking forwards to seeing more. Oh and that was a horrible dad joke, I am so sharing it with dh.
Thank you for the comment. It was one of the best cruises we have ever taken and one that we will repeat. I will upload the port videos next. Please like and suscribe to follow.
Well done. We have cruised on the Diamond Princess multiple times with most recent being spring and late summer of last year. The renaming of the Sterling Steak House caught me by surprise. Curious if the setting and decor have been altered and in particular whether the name change to Brazilian Steak House means the meat offerings are now being offered on swords?
Thank you for the comment. We were asked to move to the other side of the food court area, and we noticed that they put down black tablecloths and a few signs stating Brazilian Steak House. The servers also changed into black uniforms. We didn't eat there because it felt like the typical food court dressed up. In the pictures, we did see that it was the steak on the swords and all-you-can-eat.
Great video we are going in early June on the Japanese cruise but on Celebrity millennium what month did you go and how was the weather for temperatures?
Thank you for the question. We didn’t use any ship excursions. It is very easy to get around to the top attractions from the ports with a little research. We used taxi’s, buses and the ships shuttles depending on situation.
thank you for coming to Japan. I'm living at Sakai minato, Tottori. And I’m planning to start a tour business for travelers. May I ask How did you get around? Did you book a bus tour or something?
We did some research and took a cruise shuttle bus from the port to the main area. We look forward to visiting the area again. Good luck with your new business ventures.
Hi guys, we’ll be on the Diamond Princess for two weeks, out of Singapore in just over three weeks from now. Can I ask if there are any Type G style, 3 pin power point plug sockets in the cabins (the kind that are commonly used in Ireland, U.K. and Singapore and many African and Arab countries)? The USB points that you mentioned will certainly be helpful.
Yes, there is one 220V outlet (UK) under the hair dryer. We are planning on going back and taking the cruise down to Singapore this year, just havn't nailed down the dates yet. Enjoy your cruise!
Visiting Japan is 100% about the culture, then the experience unfolds from there. Please learn the culture. Harmony and not bothering or disturbing others in the public space is a huge value in the culture. Carry a small plastic bag for trash and dispose of it at your hotel/onboard. Be a breath of fresh air for the locals and not another bad tourist. There are also lot of privacy laws about filming/photographing people. Thanks and good traveling.
Yes, USD on board. You might want to look at a WISE visa currency card. You can load up to 40 currencies including YEN and USD. The benefit is you load the currency and amount you want. You pay anywhere visa is accepted and you are charged in local currency. Their exchange rates are the best I have ever found. The card is free. I started to use this card about 5 years ago and love it. You can also withdraw up to $350 per month from an ATM without charge. After that a small fee applies.
You can find the bookings on the Princess website or a travel agent. As where to stay we always just look for the best deals and use points. Hope this helpsssssssssssssss.
@@guysam3242 ruclips.net/video/fwy2VqrES0s/видео.html We stayed in the Kahala Resort because we got a great deal with our credit card. It's at the beginning of the attached video link we made for Yokohama. :)
Currently on the Diamond Princess 10 day around Japan plus Busan. If you are under 67 years old, DO NOT BOOK THIS CRUISE. I’m 50 and if I had not paid so much for our 2 cabins, I would’ve left the ship on day 3. Absolutely nothing happening on the cruise other than dinner, night shows and trivias. Food is not better than food I’ve had on other 5 cruise lines.
The cruise onboard agenda was slower, but we found something interesting to do every day. It's all about perspective. We enjoyed the pace because it allowed me to do some online work and reset. We took the cruise for the port itinerary, and it was fantastic. I agree with you that the food needs improvement. We also made some great new friends from Japan and Australia.
Your video is excellent. It gives me a lot of information of Diamond Princes, I will get on broad soon.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching.
Your commentary is very dry.......but humorous. I liked it!! You got yourself a subscriber.
Welcome aboard!

Thank you. We were there last December and the weather was a perfect 45-65f .
Hi! Curious to know if you did the excursions or if it is easy enough to get out of the port on your own to explore?

We have group of 12 planing to go the same cruise next year, since cruise start & end at Japan, at casino is charge USD or JPY? Thank you
I believe it is in USD. We didn't have many sea days, so we didn't spend much time in the casino. I hope you enjoy your trip! We did.
