Ok, i'm pretty much irritated...🤯 Pease explain this, if you can: You can get 5 different Types of Displays in the Shop: 1 = 10,25" Android (i guess that is the older Version) 2 = 8,8" Android 3 = 8,8" Linux 4 = 8,8" Linux with "Projection function" (What does that mean? Projection ? Some kind of Head up Display?) 5 = 9,0" Linux with UHD Questions: Which of these have you tested here? Android or Linux? Pros and Cons? Is UHD worth it ? And what's that Projection Function all about ? Maybe you could make a short Follow up Video about this and go into those Details ? Im surely not the only one who's a bit bamboozled by this... P.S.: Ok, you can change between Celsius and Fahrenheit... But i couldn't see an option to change between MpH and KmH !? I live in Germany so I need it displayed in KmH ! Thank you Shiva for another great video. I especially appreciated how you took the extra steps to present the call quality and explained both the pro and the con. This new version is the closest that I have came to purchasing the monitor, but I really hope they can add the camera back, it’s a missed opportunity for markets where the streets are narrow. That is indeed a historic moment to be one of the select to first get the car from that factory. Make sure to do a thorough walkthrough and document any defects so Tesla can fix them for you. When Tesla is on a tight deadline, they are known to sometime not the finish car correctly.
This stuff doesn't work the Last Tesla update took mine out. Will not go to apple play been working with hansshow Tech to get it back but no luck yet. Just about had it going to remove it and just mount my phone. Be careful mine is 10 months old
I have watched this video 2x because I am so intrigued and think it would be a great addition to my Y but for a variety of reasons would not buy it. 1. Because it seems not totally refined 2. Worried about its long term viability. 3. Would NOT want to personally install it. With all that real estate on the front direct view it is so frustrating Tesla did not just place some basic details or offer an add on that would deal with speed and just some other basics. The constant 30 degree turn to my right side is annoying and at times dangerous. This might be my only and singular complaint with my Y after basically two years .Other than this display issue or lack of I'd say it is the single greatest car I have ever owned. Just think Tesla is missing an opportunity here to add safety and functionality. Maybe some other vendor will in the near future.

@@electricant1367 worked out pretty nicely. That behind the glovebox connection was tough, but not the end of the world. I layed on my side and supported myself with a large box on the ground by the passenger seat. Overall pretty happy with the system so far.
I would probably try it out if it had shown the side camera when using the turn signal as it does at the Tesla screen. I think that would be very useful. It would be something like the ionic 5 has. Getting the camera view up from the main screen is something I really would appreciate. Until something like that or similar I think I will wait this one out.
Can you change the font? I wish it was closer to the Tesla UI Font. The current font looks tacky and not refined. The actual hardware of the display suits nicely, but the colours and font of the user interface stopping me from purchasing.
I am assuming that would be an easy software upgrade but I cannot change the font as of today. I have asked Hansshow to monitor this comment section and respond to these queries, hopefully they have an answer for this question. Thank you.
Have you heard of any cases where Tesla would not do a repair if they saw this product installed? Music they won’t do suspension work if someone has done a coilover replacement.

Great job showcasing this product and the install. I'm confused about the lack of front camera - was this something they had on prior models? If so, I'm not sure I care as still retain the functionality of front proximity while parking with the main screen. Now if they could somehow combine all video views for a top-down 360 while parking, that would be great...
I'm curious why they can't add the side camera when making a turn signal. I hate having it on the main screen. Feels safer to have it on the screen infront of you to view than looking down towards the right

On your Model Y 2023, the plug is on the side door panel (easy access) and it is blue color. Nothing is plugged into it by default and you just have to insert the new male plug into the open female blue plug. Please send me a quick email if you need pictures to locate it. Thanks!
Any idea how to change the boot logo on the 9" Linux version? I saw one of your previous videos showing how to change it with a USB drive and .bmp file, but I think that was the older version of the Hansshow carplay screen.
Received mine this week. Just opened it up. There are no installation instructions in the box or on the web, that I can find. Only an operations manual. Ugh. Shiva's video looks excellent, but I sure would like to see official instructions somewhere.
Reached out to the company via WeChat and they sent me a PDF of the manual and a link to another video like Shiva's (but Shiva's is better). Just finished the install and everything seems to work.
Thanks for the new video. I have the older one installed already, but do you know if I can use the existing wiring with the new display? It was kinda big hassle to get to he plug in tight spaces.
I will defer to Hansshow on that one. They might have used a different design for the wiring. However, you can leave the older one intact and just daisy chain this new plug to the older harness. That way, you wouldn't have to remove the plug from Tesla but just hook it up to your older wiring. Hope that makes sense.
Have you figured out a way to increase the navigation/Siri volume without increasing the music volume? The usual tricks for CarPlay do not work with this (turning up volume while nav is speaking). I love this but I can’t hear it.
Great video. Thank you! I've bought this and installed it on my 2018 Model 3 following your video. It was great until for some reason I am seeing that Carplay does not automatically boot up and connect to my phone. I'm seeing it fail about 50% of the time where it does not connect. I synced it up using the BT-LINK as per the instructions on the device, but its not connecting 100% of the time. Once it connects though, the connection is solid, but I'm wondering if anyone had this problem?

Hi Shiva, thanks for making the video. Would this screen have bugs often after installing new Tesla software update? Also, the buttons now control features on the Hanshow screen. How would you use those wheel buttons to control the Tesla features now (volumns, auto pilot car distance, voice command, etc...) ?
I am not sure if the connectors are exactly the same for this one. You can certainly daisy chain the computer plug but not sure about the display side.
I have asked a few RUclips posters that showed a successful install of this device. I had this professionally installed today and when they plugged in the cable in the back of the computer behind the glove compartment the car freaked out and everything inside the car wasn't working correctly, protection faults, car wouldn't go more than 35 and a rear light stopped working. They plugged the original cable back in the car was fine after that. Replugged back in and the same, so I am not sure if I have defective unit or my June 2020 Model 3 has something different than other Teslas. Did you see any of these issues? Also, I another Coloradoan looking at your plates, live in Northglenn.
Hey man quick question, got mine installed and works perfect thanks to your walkthrough, but can’t figure out where or how to change the speed metric from kph to mph? I can change from C to F for temp in settings, but there’s nowhere for me to do speed units. Is there some finger swiping gesture I can do to change it? Thank you!
Would be interested in buying it if the gauge cluster itself wasn't so ugly. Why not make it match the Tesla design elements? Looks so hacky. A simple UI update could easily fix this problem, but I have a feeling they don't care and will never change it.
With an AMD chip? The display plug is on the door pillar on the passenger side instead of being under the glovebox. Reach out to the seller and they should be able to send you a diagram. Thanks.

Hansshow，I just realized they did a lot of advertising by a lot of RUclipsr, but their products you can find exactly same thing in Chinese eBay called (taobao). This CarPlay device only $200 dollars at taobao. And all of hansshown products I believe you can find exactly same one at taobao with 1/3 of price!
Great video. I saw this a couple of days ago and was really thinking about ordering until I realized that the front camera is not supported. :( Do you have any info if this will ever change? Second question is regarding the connection of the phone - can I connect the phone via BT to the main screen (for calls) and at the same time use use wireless CarPlay to navigate with Waze or Google Maps?
Unfortunately, looks like the front camera has been discontinued for this new model. You can still get the older android one or they also sell a 8.9" Linux/Android version with the front camera. Regarding your second question, yes if you have a phone that support dual Bluetooth streams (all mewer phones do), then you can use Carplay with this display and bluetooth for your calls directly with Tesla's screen. I was really happy to see that they fixed call quality issues that was in the older display. Thank you.
I would love a software like this but a connection to Tesla datas via bluetooth like Teslogic does. I don’t like too invasive customisation. When you need to upgrade, it’s a mess all over again, I don’t want to spend my weekends DIYing my car, I’m not a car geek. But having Waze in front of would improve the security of my family so I think I’ll buy it anyway
If you have the hansshow 10" from last year, can you keep the wiring harness intact for the new display? Does it also have a front camera as the previous? I only see two wires on this product?
Thank you for the review. I just received the new Hanshow display. I have an android phone and I didn't realize that the android connection is by cable only and not wireless. It isn't a huge issue but do you think they will add that feature with a future firmware upgrade? Also do you know if I can use any of the car's USB ports or do I have to use the one on the display unit?
@@sergys8282 The new cars with AMD chip have the OBD plug on the passenger side footwell pillar instead of under the glovebox. If you get the smaller size display you don't have to route the power and ground, for the larger size display you can get the power and ground from the frunk 12V battery. I'm really glad I found your channle and your videos are pretty awesome. How does this work with pin to start. And are there any concerns around this unit either being compromised and breaking your tesla security or allowing access to the OBD port via this unit as its now tapped into the OBD. We have seen how easy it is to steel a car once the thevies have access to the OBD ports.
The display is still very visible as I had my 10" installed last year with the full steering wheel. The Yoke just makes it a lot easier to see. Thank you for watching my video.

Streaming is not supported currently due to safety reasons. This display doesn't have a web browser either. So, currently there is no work around but I wouldn't be surprised if they allow something in the future. Thank you.
Would be nice if the had made different skins as I'm not a big fan of the Analog spedometer look. Something that more mimiced Teslas minimal helvetia font style.
This was a lot easier to install vs the swivel mount. Everything worked but I connect the Tesla to the bt-tsla Bluetooth but it won’t push the sound through the car. Can anyone help
Awesome video ! How does the call quality sound compared to the OEM Tesla system without this add on? Also just curious if your Model 3 rattles inside with all the mods you’ve done having to take panels and disassemble the car to install these cool mods. Thats my biggest concern especially with the self close doors. Thanks for your feedback!
The call quality sounds exactly the same to me with this display or going through the main Tesla without this display. The previous display had some issues with calls sounding all robotic but that issue doesn't exist with this one. My car doesn't rattle with all the mods but probably is louder as removing all these parts increases the chances of wind entering the car. I just have to make sure to tighten everything back together once I am done with each install. So far, no issues but we will see how everything holds up and if these mods affect my car in the long run. Thank you.
Definitely an updated display sometimes software updates can only do so much. This has smaller bezel a sharper display and a better operating system way more practical!!
Does the system recognize metric system...ie. Canada cars? And if main screen is in dark mode as we like to keep it, will the dash screen move to a dark mode also? It would be odd to have a light grey display as shown with the main screen on dark! Great video by the way! I'd like to try this on our future MYP coming (also yoke ordered), but I didnt see any settings allowing metric other than C vs F temp. Thx!
Hi Naveen, yes the system automatically recognizes the metric system so yours would say KM/H instead of MPH. The screen automatically goes into dark mode (darker blue) when the Tesla transitions from white to black. Congratulations in advanced on your MYP, hope you get it soon :) The Yoke is really fun, I will be installing an elliptical version soon and compare it with my current trapezoid one. Ok so got the install of yoke and screen today! Love it!! Question…did the screen actually fit perfectly straight like the main screen or sight angle due to the dash itself being a bit angled? Wonder if the installer just screwed up when he righted the bolts? It’s subtle but slightly off…like 1 degree maybe? Also I find the tach for power very choppy. Not a smooth needle..almost as if the software is still weak? This is the new Linux version so I figured there would be no lag here? And lastly when I accelerate faster the speed changes slower than the main screen speedo. Again like the processing is lagging a bit. Is this classic bait and switch internal chips from China? Lol
Also Shiva..wondering..have you ever seen anyone inquire about changing the pewter trim in model 3/y to the chrome type trim in the new S? The trim part that is under the wood on the doors and under the wood portion of the front dash I think the chrome in the new S gives it a total class increase! I’d line your thoughts on how this could be done!
Do you have Intel or the AMD chip? If your speakers are not working, I suspect the wiring connection is loose on the OBD. Please double check that wiring. If you lock the car for several hours and let it sleep, the speaker should start working again. This happens when you take too long to plug the OBD connection back on. If the issues persist, please reach out to Hansshow. Thanks.
Shiva, great video as always. I recently installed this screen, and I have an issue with the phone call handling. No matter which way I set up Bluetooth (phone to hansshow display, hansshow display to Tesla and make it priority) the phone calls are all echoing and I have to call the person back with my AirPods. Hansshow gave me an update, but they basically said phone calls can only come through on the hansshow display which really really isn’t ideal. If I am playing music on the Tesla, it doesn’t cut out music and then when I answer the call the person experiences the echo. Any ideas or solutions to this? I am considering removing the device because of this, or just using it as a really expensive HUD
I was excited to install this, but the connection to the computer in my 2021 model Y was WAY harder than it appears in the videos. My hands were too big for the space so I had to get my wife to help - and she was not too happy about that! Once all connected, the new display did not work. Even worse, my Telsa display only came on only when a car door was open. Also, the car did not seem to charge anymore. So I had to uninstall the new display and I will have to return it. Did anyone else have these issues? Maybe mine was just defective

Which style console does your Model Y have - the older shiny piano black style like Shiva's or the current more padded version? Also, did everything go back to normal after you put everything back?
@@mitchsieverts8094 Are you sure it didn’t just go into safe mode? It happens if you take too long changing the plug. This resets after an hour. He explains the issue in the video
If I currently have the 10.5", is it worth it to change to the current one? I don't really have any issues with the current one other than the vents being blocked.
I honestly don't think you are going to feel too big of a difference with the airflow. Yes, it is much better but still blocks air. So, it is up to you if you think the new UI and after interface is worth the update. I wouldn't upgrade just for the airflow. Thanks.

Hello, you can connect this display to the Tesla screen and always automatically play audio through Tesla speakers. You just have to select this device as a priority bluetooth device on your Tesla screen. Thanks.
My disappointment with this display, is the small size of the fonts. they waste so much space with the circular graphics that are either redundant or not needed at all. They could have made the other info larger so it could be easily seen/read. What is the purpose of a radial speedometer when the speed is displayed as a number in the center? And isn't obvious when the car is accelerating or using regen? Do they really need to take up 1/3 of the display for something that obvious?

I would like to see you do a video on how to put updates on this device. I have this one and would like to keep updating it in the future and I find it difficult to get the files and update the screen. Also, I have not seen wireless android auto for this device.
Can you control CarPlay using the steering wheel controls? Or is it strictly a touch interface? It would seem awkward trying to touch the screen while driving, especially with a regular round steering wheel.
I haven't yet seen a full tutorial on this but the only thing my steering scroll wheel currently controls is going between Carplay and the Main UI. Perhaps they will add that in the future. Thanks.

My 2022 Performance Y has the Intel Atom chip in the infotainment system so I ordered the corresponding display. Has anyone thought about making an AC diffuser to attach to the top, or back, of the display to redirect the AC towards the driver? i think this could be done with a 3D printer.
So you can use the scroll wheels on the steering to control the handsshow screen right ? How do you switch the scroll wheel functionality from its native features like to adjust mirrors, adjust steering wheel etc, to scrolling through the handsshow screen and vise versa ?
Hello, the native features use the left scroll wheel and this display uses the right wheel. The right wheel only controls car's following distance and autopilot speed and in that case this display cannot be controlled by the scroll wheel once the car enters an autopilot mode. Thanks.
Have you found a workaround or solution for this? If the CarPlay stays on without anyone in driver seat while car is in the garage, that's an issue since my garage would also be in range while I'm in the house. I have basically the same car as in the video (Intel), but a 10/2019 manufacture date. Does @Shiva or Haanshow have any comments on this issue with CarPlay staying on after leaving car in garage at home?

So 2022 model 3 with new chip, the plug is by the door trim? No need to go under the glow box in the upside down position?

Getting the camera view up from the main screen is something I really would appreciate. Until something like that or similar I think I will wait this one out.

Can you change the font? I wish it was closer to the Tesla UI Font. The current font looks tacky and not refined.
The actual hardware of the display suits nicely, but the colours and font of the user interface stopping me from purchasing.
I am assuming that would be an easy software upgrade but I cannot change the font as of today. I have asked Hansshow to monitor this comment section and respond to these queries, hopefully they have an answer for this question. Thank you.

Great job showcasing this product and the install. I'm confused about the lack of front camera - was this something they had on prior models? If so, I'm not sure I care as still retain the functionality of front proximity while parking with the main screen. Now if they could somehow combine all video views for a top-down 360 while parking, that would be great...
Front camera was one of the the reasons why I purchased the older version. Not understanding why they would remove this feature.

On your Model Y 2023, the plug is on the side door panel (easy access) and it is blue color. Nothing is plugged into it by default and you just have to insert the new male plug into the open female blue plug. Please send me a quick email if you need pictures to locate it. Thanks!

Any idea how to change the boot logo on the 9" Linux version? I saw one of your previous videos showing how to change it with a USB drive and .bmp file, but I think that was the older version of the Hansshow carplay screen.
Glad to hear it blocks air vent less compare to the last version. However, does it still reflect aircon to the wind screen causing a foggy screen?
Received mine this week. Just opened it up. There are no installation instructions in the box or on the web, that I can find. Only an operations manual. Ugh. Shiva's video looks excellent, but I sure would like to see official instructions somewhere.
Reached out to the company via WeChat and they sent me a PDF of the manual and a link to another video like Shiva's (but Shiva's is better). Just finished the install and everything seems to work.
Thanks for the new video. I have the older one installed already, but do you know if I can use the existing wiring with the new display? It was kinda big hassle to get to he plug in tight spaces.
I will defer to Hansshow on that one. They might have used a different design for the wiring. However, you can leave the older one intact and just daisy chain this new plug to the older harness. That way, you wouldn't have to remove the plug from Tesla but just hook it up to your older wiring. Hope that makes sense.
screen still seems quite laggy though the ui has improved slightly.
The lag is probably because I was using my phone to record some of this while still connected to carplay. But yes, there definitely is a slight lag.
Have you figured out a way to increase the navigation/Siri volume without increasing the music volume?
The usual tricks for CarPlay do not work with this (turning up volume while nav is speaking).

It was great until for some reason I am seeing that Carplay does not automatically boot up and connect to my phone. I'm seeing it fail about 50% of the time where it does not connect. I synced it up using the BT-LINK as per the instructions on the device, but its not connecting 100% of the time. Once it connects though, the connection is solid, but I'm wondering if anyone had this problem?

Mate I use the existing cables and just change the screen. I have the previous version installed.
I am not sure if the connectors are exactly the same for this one. You can certainly daisy chain the computer plug but not sure about the display side.
I have asked a few RUclips posters that showed a successful install of this device. I had this professionally installed today and when they plugged in the cable in the back of the computer behind the glove compartment the car freaked out and everything inside the car wasn't working correctly, protection faults, car wouldn't go more than 35 and a rear light stopped working. They plugged the original cable back in the car was fine after that. Replugged back in and the same, so I am not sure if I have defective unit or my June 2020 Model 3 has something different than other Teslas. Did you see any of these issues? Also, I another Coloradoan looking at your plates, live in Northglenn.

Would be interested in buying it if the gauge cluster itself wasn't so ugly. Why not make it match the Tesla design elements? Looks so hacky. A simple UI update could easily fix this problem, but I have a feeling they don't care and will never change it.

With an AMD chip? The display plug is on the door pillar on the passenger side instead of being under the glovebox. Reach out to the seller and they should be able to send you a diagram. Thanks.

Hansshow，I just realized they did a lot of advertising by a lot of RUclipsr, but their products you can find exactly same thing in Chinese eBay called (taobao). This CarPlay device only $200 dollars at taobao. And all of hansshown products I believe you can find exactly same one at taobao with 1/3 of price!

Second question is regarding the connection of the phone - can I connect the phone via BT to the main screen (for calls) and at the same time use use wireless CarPlay to navigate with Waze or Google Maps?
Unfortunately, looks like the front camera has been discontinued for this new model. You can still get the older android one or they also sell a 8.9" Linux/Android version with the front camera. Regarding your second question, yes if you have a phone that support dual Bluetooth streams (all mewer phones do), then you can use Carplay with this display and bluetooth for your calls directly with Tesla's screen. I was really happy to see that they fixed call quality issues that was in the older display. Thank you.
I would love a software like this but a connection to Tesla datas via bluetooth like Teslogic does. I don’t like too invasive customisation. When you need to upgrade, it’s a mess all over again, I don’t want to spend my weekends DIYing my car, I’m not a car geek. But having Waze in front of would improve the security of my family so I think I’ll buy it anyway
If you have the hansshow 10" from last year, can you keep the wiring harness intact for the new display? Does it also have a front camera as the previous? I only see two wires on this product?
Thank you for the review. I just received the new Hanshow display. I have an android phone and I didn't realize that the android connection is by cable only and not wireless. It isn't a huge issue but do you think they will add that feature with a future firmware upgrade? Also do you know if I can use any of the car's USB ports or do I have to use the one on the display unit?

I mean new AMD Ryzen processor instead of Intel , most 2022 models have amd razen processors.
@@sergys8282 The new cars with AMD chip have the OBD plug on the passenger side footwell pillar instead of under the glovebox. If you get the smaller size display you don't have to route the power and ground, for the larger size display you can get the power and ground from the frunk 12V battery. How does this work with pin to start. And are there any concerns around this unit either being compromised and breaking your tesla security or allowing access to the OBD port via this unit as its now tapped into the OBD. We have seen how easy it is to steel a car once the thevies have access to the OBD ports.
I would buy it if it could replicate the FSD BETA visualization (I don't know if this is technically possible??)

The display is still very visible as I had my 10" installed last year with the full steering wheel. The Yoke just makes it a lot easier to see. Thank you for watching my video.

Can you stream anything from your phone to the screen… such as RUclips. ?
Streaming is not supported currently due to safety reasons. This display doesn't have a web browser either. So, currently there is no work around but I wouldn't be surprised if they allow something in the future. Thank you.

This was a lot easier to install vs the swivel mount. Everything worked but I connect the Tesla to the bt-tsla Bluetooth but it won’t push the sound through the car. Can anyone help

The call quality sounds exactly the same to me with this display or going through the main Tesla without this display. The previous display had some issues with calls sounding all robotic but that issue doesn't exist with this one. My car doesn't rattle with all the mods but probably is louder as removing all these parts increases the chances of wind entering the car. I just have to make sure to tighten everything back together once I am done with each install. So far, no issues but we will see how everything holds up and if these mods affect my car in the long run. Thank you.

Definitely an updated display sometimes software updates can only do so much. This has smaller bezel a sharper display and a better operating system way more practical!!
Agreed! The older one had wild bezels, just that change alone makes this one look so much better. As you said, the linux OS is so much faster.

Does the system recognize metric system...ie. Canada cars? And if main screen is in dark mode as we like to keep it, will the dash screen move to a dark mode also? It would be odd to have a light grey display as shown with the main screen on dark! Great video by the way! Hi Naveen, yes the system automatically recognizes the metric system so yours would say KM/H instead of MPH. The screen automatically goes into dark mode (darker blue) when the Tesla transitions from white to black. Congratulations in advanced on your MYP, hope you get it soon :) The Yoke is really fun, I will be installing an elliptical version soon and compare it with my current trapezoid one. Question…did the screen actually fit perfectly straight like the main screen or sight angle due to the dash itself being a bit angled? Wonder if the installer just screwed up when he righted the bolts? It’s subtle but slightly off…like 1 degree maybe?
Also I find the tach for power very choppy. Not a smooth needle..almost as if the software is still weak? This is the new Linux version so I figured there would be no lag here? And lastly when I accelerate faster the speed changes slower than the main screen speedo. Again like the processing is lagging a bit. Is this classic bait and switch internal chips from China? Lol
Also Shiva..wondering..have you ever seen anyone inquire about changing the pewter trim in model 3/y to the chrome type trim in the new S? The trim part that is under the wood on the doors and under the wood portion of the front dash I think the chrome in the new S gives it a total class increase! I’d line your thoughts on how this could be done!
I had a different 9inch screen, I had to remove it because it blocks the air vent.

Do you have Intel or the AMD chip? If your speakers are not working, I suspect the wiring connection is loose on the OBD. Please double check that wiring. If you lock the car for several hours and let it sleep, the speaker should start working again. This happens when you take too long to plug the OBD connection back on. Shiva, great video as always. I recently installed this screen, and I have an issue with the phone call handling. No matter which way I set up Bluetooth (phone to hansshow display, hansshow display to Tesla and make it priority) the phone calls are all echoing and I have to call the person back with my AirPods. Hansshow gave me an update, but they basically said phone calls can only come through on the hansshow display which really really isn’t ideal. If I am playing music on the Tesla, it doesn’t cut out music and then when I answer the call the person experiences the echo. Any ideas or solutions to this? I am considering removing the device because of this, or just using it as a really expensive HUD

I was excited to install this, but the connection to the computer in my 2021 model Y was WAY harder than it appears in the videos. My hands were too big for the space so I had to get my wife to help - and she was not too happy about that! Once all connected, the new display did not work. Even worse, my Telsa display only came on only when a car door was open. Also, the car did not seem to charge anymore. So I had to uninstall the new display and I will have to return it. Did anyone else have these issues? Maybe mine was just defective

Are you sure it didn’t just go into safe mode? It happens if you take too long changing the plug. This resets after an hour. He explains the issue in the video
If I currently have the 10.5", is it worth it to change to the current one? I don't really have any issues with the current one other than the vents being blocked.
I honestly don't think you are going to feel too big of a difference with the airflow. Yes, it is much better but still blocks air. So, it is up to you if you think the new UI and after interface is worth the update. I wouldn't upgrade just for the airflow. Thanks.

Hello, you can connect this display to the Tesla screen and always automatically play audio through Tesla speakers. You just have to select this device as a priority bluetooth device on your Tesla screen. Thanks.

My disappointment with this display, is the small size of the fonts. they waste so much space with the circular graphics that are either redundant or not needed at all. They could have made the other info larger so it could be easily seen/read. What is the purpose of a radial speedometer when the speed is displayed as a number in the center? And isn't obvious when the car is accelerating or using regen? Do they really need to take up 1/3 of the display for something that obvious?

Can you control CarPlay using the steering wheel controls? Or is it strictly a touch interface? It would seem awkward trying to touch the screen while driving, especially with a regular round steering wheel.
I haven't yet seen a full tutorial on this but the only thing my steering scroll wheel currently controls is going between Carplay and the Main UI. Perhaps they will add that in the future. Thanks.

I believe they just released a new update with UI changes (please check with Hansshow) but this one being a Linux system doesn't allow wallpaper customizations like the Android version. Thank you.

Has anyone thought about making an AC diffuser to attach to the top, or back, of the display to redirect the AC towards the driver? i think this could be done with a 3D printer.
So you can use the scroll wheels on the steering to control the handsshow screen right ? How do you switch the scroll wheel functionality from its native features like to adjust mirrors, adjust steering wheel etc, to scrolling through the handsshow screen and vise versa ?
Hello, the native features use the left scroll wheel and this display uses the right wheel. The right wheel only controls car's following distance and autopilot speed and in that case this display cannot be controlled by the scroll wheel once the car enters an autopilot mode. Thanks.
I have one of these, but getting the latest firmware is challenging, my CarPlay stay connected despite being in the house.
Have you found a workaround or solution for this? If the CarPlay stays on without anyone in driver seat while car is in the garage, that's an issue since my garage would also be in range while I'm in the house. I have basically the same car as in the video (Intel), but a 10/2019 manufacture date. Does @Shiva or Haanshow have any comments on this issue with CarPlay staying on after leaving car in garage at home?
