Good question. A quick release feature would be really amazing. But guess, in that way, it'll be more unstable, as you'll require the tire contact for it to be functioning.
Not to be rude to the poster, but this method of e bike conversion kits are incredibly inneficient and are very difficult to justify the price for what your getting, a geared hub motor, while more difficult to install is several times more efficient as it actually rotates the tire, whereas this method can easily result in the motor slipping or skipping

You're right. Those are more efficient. But if you want something like, plug and go, they're offering the best features and specs right now.
