For the second one it makes it smoother if you switch your feet while jabbing since your opponent is still distracted, ups your chance of landing that kick when you fire it off because it’s already where it should be and you can use that same hand that’s already out to comb your hair.
i was watching it in slow mo trying to visualize and shadowbox it out, and i was going, "jab, pivot foot, rotate torso and swing the kick". I was memorizing the audible timing when that "pivot foot" hits in the middle. Didn't even think of just removing it entirely. Awesome!
Not much different then if you have one of those dumb bag stands. I use to have mine like that, on purpose. My thoughts being that I could work better power because the wall would be like someone holding the bag. I'm moving mine, I hated it there definitely was nervous about kicking my garage wall, its sheetrock over brick! 🙃
back again watching this video. I am now at my 1 year mark!! I still watch this video about once a month and then take the combos to East Van Muay Thai, and smash.
That is some great combo helped me a lot in my home heavy bag muay thai workout and build up my confidence in a real fight where is can use these 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️💪💪
what is the correct stance in muay thai??? i feel like every trainer does it differently. my current one tells me that your hips are always facing your opponent (imagine a less exaggerated horse stance from tae kwon do)

Got a quick question. What's the reason for the little stepping motion added into the foot switch? I noticed it during the Jab - Switch Kick combo and was curious what the purpose of it is (like a small feint, perhaps?).
Personal opinion, feel free to counter... Teep should be used with the rear leg of southpaw stance... Also, half to a quarter of these combinations have to much end lag at certain parts making them strings and not true combos... js
@@liamm4432 nah, hooks are deadliest in a square stance… see you don’t even know what I’m saying… he doesn’t pivot with the hook, and thus it’s just an arm punch… the only time that is acceptable is the slap hook, because it’s not meant to be anything more than a distraction… but, what do I know? I’m just a keyboard warrior
Some of these combos seem totally impracitcal , not sure they would be good to throw together in a match. Also i dont like the wide swinging of the hands when kicking its so telegraphed. But some solid work and good techniques regardless
From the stance to the execution and guard it is just an awful display. you need to practice those before showing. by the way only the monks are allowed to greet with the hands before the chest. its highly disrespectful to do so being a regular guy. chears
Thank you for these combos. Enjoyed it how you repeated it and showed it on the punch bag. Can't wait to try these moves out on my wife.

Cracked up since I also like to use them on mine
You mean sparring... Right?
Right?!
The Combos:
Jab-Roundhouse
Jab-Switchkick
Jab-Slap hook-Roundhouse
Teep(front)-jab-cross
Jab-Straight to body-rear uppercut-lead elbow
Cross-rear uppercut-switch knee
Cross-hook-rear elbow-switch knee
Superman punch-step in lead kick
low kick-roundhouse(same leg)-hook-cross
Cross-roundhouse-hook-cross
Good man 🙏
Making combos like its mortal combat 💀
@@noobmansuperstarboy the jab cross body then rear uppercut is asking for a hook to the exposed head.

I’ve also never been to any gym where they specify a front kick as a teep kick. Some of the trainers straight yell at folks for saying that shit lol.
Most of these I couldn't use during the sparring.. Due to elbows and knees. But they're really great combos for beginners like me. Thank you!
Change knees to kicks and change elbows to hooks.
Knees are fine during sparring if you don try to kill them but dont uswme elbows without pads

I recently started taking MMA classes and I’m addicted and I gotta wait for next week to go back so this helps a lot thanks
Sweet, hope you enjoy you’re new endeavor!
Warm up well, cool down, and don't hurt your training partners! Oss
Thanks! This is great for a quarantine Muay Thai refresher ; )
That banana bag looks awfully close to the wall - think about your toes !!
haha was thinking same thing
I just noticed that, scary sight😂
He hit his toe at 1:13, I could hear him screaming on the inside

That superman punch lead kick is very interesting mechanically. Super fun!
The basics striking system of Muay Thai translates very well in stand up for kickboxing or mma basic combos are what dominate
yes, Muay Thai is very practical!
Hey fellas. I am on month two in Muay Thai, and this is my favourite video to watch before class. Thanks eh
Great to hear!
back again watching this video. I am now at my 1 year mark!! I still watch this video about once a month and then take the combos to East Van Muay Thai, and smash.
The combos that actually I had train is usualy hard to practice in sparring. So I get here, then. Thanks so much
Good basic combos to start , but i also recommend beginners get that 1,2 to learn about balance in every punch power, range, and speed.
Straight to the point and very creative.
You've gained yourself a follower!
Thank you!!! 🔥🔥🔥
your box ellbow combos are absolutly insanely beautiful! 2:24

Classic combos!
Got a quick question. What's the reason for the little stepping motion added into the foot switch? I noticed it during the Jab - Switch Kick combo and was curious what the purpose of it is (like a small feint, perhaps?).
It's just to switch your stance to the other side
Nice !!
Thanks!
What's slap hook?
1.-Jab roundhouse (¿roundhouse to the head?)

I cant grasp the superman punch... ex boxer scotland
Superman punch is very deceptive when you blend it with kicks.
Man I wanna learn muy thai so bad but I have fungus on both feet 😫
I always wonder when I see people built like this guy If they got Swole from solely MMA training or is they lift as well
arm should remain relaxed, not tense.
No sound
👍🥊🥊
bro how tall are yoU?
6’
Was I thr only one afraid that he'd hit his foot on the wall instead of the boxing bag?
I will forever hold the argument that the uppercut is the most inefficient punch
every type of punch has its moment & placement.
That elbow at 2:50 looks painful
Jab, cross, toes into the wall.

The cover is down all the time
Well it's for showing purposes

I hate bad form. I hate lack of intention in the execution.
None of this here. I sub.
But dude is that a roundhouse or a low chamber kick?
❤🙏👍
Your hooks will have no power if you punch like that, just who do I know? I’m just a keyboard warroir
He isn’t standing bladed like a boxer because its muay thai, imagine the left hook is just harder to get power on in that stance

Looking great but your lead hook on the pads is really weird.
If Punjabi people started practicing different martial arts I think It would turn the tide

dude ben stiller just had enough
need to pivot more on kicks
lol it was believable until the superman punch.
You need to pivot your support foot win you kick, and let your knee go past the Target🙏
Really old but still relevant , no he doesn't lol there's millions of kicks and kick form/technique
@Brandon Perry agreed, I prefer the Taekwondo style on kicks, have a feeling that it gives more pressure on the target
