I’m a newbie that just got a sewing machine and finished my first scrunchie and loved it! Thank you. I got a little confused on the scrunchy body sewing hut it made sense when I started sewing.
I have a sewing machine that has been sitting in my closet since last year. I’m planning on pulling it out this year and putting it to use (possibly create an Etsy store). I feel like scrunchies are a good place to start. TFS!
Hey, I’ve been watching this for a while but I’m still confused on how to do the bit at 2:30 - 3:30, what part are you pulling and are you doing it multiple times or just have many clips?
I already did a couple with this tutorial,, when she folded the fabric the first layer she folded should not align with the outside layer, because the point of this step is to turn the fabric into a tube so you have to sew only the outside layer and like "hide" the inside of the fabric, so when you sew the outside of the fabric you do not have to catch that inside part so that allows you to pull the fabric and keep sewing on the rest of the scrunchie. I do not know if I explained it well enough for you to understand because it is hard to explain through text but I hope you get to have a better idea on how to do this step and why it is crucial on this method!! :D
Sorry - I'm just saw the fabric dimensions. Not sure why I didn't see it the first time I watched the video. I think I was mesmerized with the wonderful sounds.
Before folding the tube right side out, put the elastic through the tube that you’ve made, tie it, and then turn it right side out. It saves feeding it through and saves time ❤xx
I’ll try to make sense as much as possible pls help me, so when I fold the fabric like in 1:59 and start sewing, the place where I started usually looks weird when I flip the fabric. It makes it hard to close. any ideas?
Anyone if you could answer this. What Thread count do you use? 40, 50, 60 ect. Thanks... And where do you purchase it from please all information is great information. Thanks
